Character
Personality: Aonghus is rather independent, and enjoys doing things himself. He's had to learn to do most basic tasks himself, as his mom works very late hours. This has led to him having a sense of internal maturity, believing himself to be more responsible and adult than he actually is.
He's very habitual, and doesn't like moving away from his routine. He's a bit stiff, and may need convincing to go out and do things. He caves rather easy to most things though, especially if a convincing argument is given.
He loves H.P. Lovecraft, as evidenced by his collection of T-Shirts, and is always eager to engage in conversation about the author and his Mythos. He also loves tabletop gaming (Board and Card games mostly), as well as classic retro gaming. He knows alot about those, and has a tendancy to prattle on about them.
He also has a weird love for sandwiches, mostly ham and cheese. Especially ham and cheese. He puts waaaaay too much mustard on them though. Only yellow mustard though, intrestingly enough.
He does have a rather spotty memory, and is bad with names. Aonghus is rather good with faces though, and tends to not forget them. He's also rather good with spotting smaller details, like coins in the street or a stain on a shirt.

Mutations
Mutation description:
The King of Pijins
Aonghus has the interesting power to be able to shift into a Pigeon. Yes. The bird that eats breadcrumbs and poops on statues. That pigeon.
Aonghus, while not shifted, has more keen eyesight than the average person, and quicker reflexes than the average human as well.
To shift, he has to close his eyes and concentrate, and his body will turn a dull white color. This gives off no light, and fades once the transformation is complete. He shrinks to the size of the average pigeon, and looks almost no different than a normal bird. His eyes are still blue, and that is the only real difference.
While shifted, Aonghus still has his normal thought process and senses, and seems to posess a sixth-sense for things sneaking up on him.
Strengths: Aonghus is able to fly while shifted, and blend in with the normal pigeons of the city. Most people don't really give any notice to the birds, which is an advantage when you're trying not to be noticed. He also has the pigeon-like ability to remember faces, and emotions based on that. Even if he's forgotten your name, he'll remember your face.
Weaknesses and Limitations: While shifted into a pigeon, Aonghus has the size and strength of one as well, so if he's able to be grabbed, he likely won't be able to get out of the hold.
It takes him a few seconds to shift (His record is 3 seconds, but that was during a crisis), and he has to have his eyes closed and concentration to do it. If he's stressed, he might not be able to shift on command.
He also can't speak while he's shifted, only make pigeon noises. He can't understand things pigeons say, and they cant understand him in this form. He can still understand human speech, however.
His bones are also lighter than average in his human form, and thus easier to break.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: He's pretty quick, due to his light weight, and has pigeon-quick reflexes. He is surprisingly flexible.

History Of Your Character
Aonghus was born to a single mother in Texas, and lived with her and his grandparents for the early parts of his life. They lived on a small ranch, his mother taking classes at the local community college and working shifts at various resturaunts. He lived a pretty happy life, and wasn't ever really bothered that he never knew his dad. His grandfather had a bunch of old video games, and Aonghus busied himself with them whenever he wasn't exploring the forest on the property. But one day, things changed.
One day, he was climbing a tree in a nearby forest. He was pretty high up, and was watching some birds nearby fly around when the branch he was sitting on snapped, and he began to plummet. He closed his eyes, and started frantically moving his arms trying to grab a branch, wishing that he was able to fly. He suddenly felt really weird, and opened his eyes. He found that he was suddenly...hovering? He had wings? He closed his eyes again, and he felt himself hit the ground.
He tried doing this again at home, in front of a mirror. After a bit of focusing, he opened his eyes to see a pigeon staring back at him.
He was...confused, and a bit excited to discover this. He had heard of people with strange mutant powers, but never knew he could have one himself. He decided not to tell his mother.
He practiced off and on with his ability, trying to find his limits. His mother got her degree, and managed to get a job offer.
In New York City.
She accepted, and packed up her and her sons things, moving them to a small apartment in the city. Now, Aonghus is just trying to make his way in the world, and live a decent life. He's used his power sparingly since moving, but has been a bit less careful about keeping it hidden. There are an awful lot of pigeons in New York, after all.
Currently, Aonghus is just trying to make it through school, enrolled in a regular highschool.

Aonghus sighed to himself as he watched the other students in his english class debate on what the motivation the main character in the novel they had read actually was. He personally didn't care, and simply spoke up every few minutes or so, just so he didn't draw attention to himself by not participating. He was running out of things to say though, and was hoping for a miracle.
His wishes soon came to reality when the bell rang, it's shrill tone echoing slightly through the room. The teen grabbed his notebook and shoved it into his backpackm only barely noting his teachers instructions for the class to read the next chapter, and quickly made his way out of the room. Aonghus made his way down the halls, slipping his earbuds in and resuming the audiobook he was listening too. He smiled as the voice began speaking, and made his way to the cafeteria. He took his normal spot in the corner of the room, and pulled his lunch out.
He had his usual, a pair of ham sandwiches that were absolutely dripping with mustard. He unwrapped one and took a bite, the yellow condiment oozing out from the opposite side. The sour tang of the mustard combined, at least in Aonghus' humble opinion, excellently with the cool flavor of the ham and the sharp tint of the cheddar. He took another bite, and another, quickly devouring his treat. The boy pulled his phone out, and started checking his email while he ate, unaware that someone was staring at him from across the room. The Secret shifter pulled a soda from his backpack and took a swig, completely oblivious to the piercing gaze.
His phone was soon back in it's normal home of his right jean pocket, and Aonghus began to eat his other sandwich, a dollop of mustard falling out and adding a fresh stain to his jeans. He wiped it off, and continued. He finally glanced up when the person who was staring at him approached, taking the seat opposite to him at the table. He paused his audiobook and popped an earbud out, raising an eyebrow. It wasn't often someone approached the King, after all.
