The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

Adder had gone quiet, not quiet bored thankfully, but a thoughtful kind of quiet. Alex could see that the wolf-boy was mulling over the implications, advantages and disadvantages, what could be done with powers like his. He could get behind that mentality, Adder wasn't book smart but he was survival smart, and while it didn't land you a career, usually not in the common sense of the word, it was something worth having.

"I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. You have plenty of time now, time to learn and explore. Without the fear of starvation or attack."he said soft looking down at the work sheet, tapping his pencil against it in thought. "You're safe here, as long as you want to be here."

He didn't know how much his words stuck with the other boy, if he understood the magnitude of change living here would bring. The next meal was always there, you have people watching out for you, and if you ever got in trouble, you had people you could rely on. That wasn't the case on the outside. Out there, you were on your own, and any alley you got came with a mountain of conditions to be filled. He hoped Adder stuck around, no matter how much he missed the freedom of travel, this was for the best.
