Character
Personality: Camille is something of a ‘quiet narcissist.’ She is generally friendly, and goes out to socialise, but she isn’t usually very outgoing beyond clever quips and occasional discussions on subjects that catch her interest. She does however, like to turn conversations towards subjects she is more involved in, such as music, social and psychological analyses, etc. She loves to sing, and is obviously rather exceptional at it. She even has intentions to start make a career of it. It also isn’t uncommon for her to give the occasional ‘free performance.’ Which is really more that she decides to start singing in some public space. She often enjoys a bit of alone time, but tends to get depressed if she starts to get too reclusive.

Special talents: She enjoys writing, whether it be lyrics, short stories, or whatever else is on her mind at the time. She is also very good at reading people to get a sense of what they are like.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: She usually leans more or less towards good, but she can sometimes be prone to acts of selfishness, or even the occasional cruel joke for her own amusement.
Mutations
Mutation description: Camille is basically a siren, able to use her voice, especially her singing, to affect the minds of those who can hear her. While her powers are focused around her singing, they also have an affect when she is talking normally, but to a much lesser degree. She can use her powers to affect the feelings and emotions of those around her, but the level of effectiveness can vary, depending on a number of things, such their emotional state beforehand, how well they can hear her, etc. She can also use her song to try to drive people towards something, make them feel hopeful, or sad. However, she ultimately cannot force someone to do something, only push them towards it. The most controlling use of her power can act almost like hypnotism, but it isn’t too hard to resist it if the person is either aware of it, or if she is pushing someone to do something that is otherwise very not like themselves. While the effect of her power tends to fade within seconds of when she stops singing, it can have a psychological effect that can last much longer. i.e. If she was using her song to help lift the spirits of a depressed individual, especially if Camille has been affecting the individual over an extended period of time, or on a fairly regular basis, the psychological effect could stay with the person, helping raise that person out of their depression. She is also capable of producing a loud, ear splitting shriek, but it isn’t generally very damaging beyond maybe causing some hearing loss, and a ringing in the ears.
Strengths: The effects of her powers can be very versatile, and can affect wide audiences, for a variety of purposes. The siren song can be used to push people towards a certain activity. She has a good understanding of how people think and her more natural perceptiveness which she can very effectively use to compliment her mutant abilities, which is almost a must, since Her voice is not that directly powerful in and of itself. However, the fact that it needs a bit of build up, combined with how the effect of her powers aren’t overpowering, it usually isn’t immediately obvious that it is the result of a mutant power.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Her voice is not a precision instrument, so to speak. It affects everyone who is close enough to hear her reasonably well. If she was singing with the intention of inspiring hope (Or anger, or anything else.), in, for example, some sort of battle ground, while her powers would affect the intended audience, it would affect the opposing side in much the same way. While she can affect people’s emotions, feelings, and behavior, it is not hard for an individual to keep a clear head. This would make it nigh impossible to make someone do something they would otherwise be extremely adverse to. It may be nearly impossible to not feel at least a little of the basic emotional effects of the siren song, but anything more complex than those can usually be rather easily resisted.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Camille’s physical Capabilities are… Underwhelming, to put it simply. She has a very light build, and hasn’t ever put a lot of time or effort into physical fitness. The only real exception is in terms of her stamina, since it can be important for long concerts and the like. She’s not really fast or strong. However, her reflexes are usually pretty good, but she doesn’t have much to back it up with.
Fighting Style: Usually Camille would try to pacify the situation, but if that’s not an option, it’s basically shriek and run.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: The shriek is usually pretty good for stunning the potential pursuer for a few seconds, which can give her a bit of a head start, and it also tends to draw attention to the area. But she’s not exactly athletic either, so it’s not too unlikely for the chaser to catch up in an extended chase.
History Of Your Character
Camille was born into a pretty normal family. Her existence as a mutant wasn’t hard to discern, even from the start, due to her feet being closer to that of a bird than a human’s, and once her ‘hair’ started to grow in, it became even more obvious. Her parents didn’t really seem to mind what she was, but that soon became a different story when she started school. The other children, and even some of the teachers had it out for her from the start. For kindergarten and the first two years of elementary, Camille tried to hide away from her tormentors quietly, but watched the other children from on far. She gradually started to become more perceptive on how people would act and interact in differing situations. It was in third grade that Camille started to sing. It didn’t take her long to notice that it seemed to have an affect on the other students. By about fifth, her normal voice began to have a slight effect as well. Her powers, combined with the social skills she observed and gradually learned how to use, she started making friends, and eventually started figuring out how to get her ‘desired results’ out of interactions with others. It didn’t take long for Camille to develop aspirations to become a musician. However, most of the years leading up till now weren’t particularly exciting, but for now, she is hoping to find a job to tide her over.
Roleplay
Where did you learn about this site?: Same person as when I joined with Ember. I can’t remember which character it was right now.
Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Sort of. I used to play Ember Laelynn, but he’s being switched out in favor of this character, due to OOC issues originating from the personality I designed for him.
Sample RP: Parents could be really irritating sometimes. Camille had gotten in another argument with her parents over her lack of a job again, until she finally stormed out of the apartment. She couldn’t wait to get a job so she could get her own apartment… Now just to to find someone who would at least give her an interview. Whatever. She was still too frustrated to head home, so was just wandering the streets, although she was careful to stay in the safer parts of the city.
Camille was never really afraid to hide her visual mutations. In fact, she enjoyed the attention it sometimes brought. Most of the time. Occasionally it attracted the wrong kind of attention. But either way, she figured that she shouldn’t stay out too late. She figured she’d keep walking for another couple minutes before going back home. But instead she stopped and turned, looking over the street. Why not sing here? She certainly felt she could do with a little appreciation right about now. Now what to sing...
