It surprised Charlotte how quickly the young boy was warming up to her. The leg contact brought a smile to her face, but her happiness quickly dissipated as he talked about his family. No child that young should have to experience such a tremendous loss like their family, much less moving countries to find a new one. Hopefully she could enough of a family for him. Or at least part of one.
"Well, I hope Mr. Jaager can adopt you soon. You're a great kid." she commented, nudging her leg against his. Not like she had any say in it, but the blonde did want to meet this man before he adopted Panu. This kid deserved the best, and she wanted to see to it that he got it. And he was trying to help her find a job, which was a plus. Working at the bar was great, but it only brought it so much money. Being secretary in a larger-scale company would definitely rake in some decent cash.
"I've never been someone's secretary before, but I'm sure it can't be too hard." Scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, typing on a computer, and wearing cute pencil skirts. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? Although, she highly doubted the blonde boy would have many appointments to schedule, other than lunch/dinner and maybe nap time, and the occasional ice-cream play date. 8 year olds took naps.. right?
Speaking of ice-cream, it dawned on Charlotte how hungry she was, and as if on cue her stomach let our a small but substantial growl. Slinging her purse over her shoulder, she stood up and stretched her legs before offering an open hand to the boy. "Wanna go get some ice-cream?"
