"Good enough" Gawain chuckled. Evelyn never ceased to surprise him. She started out as a sweet and innocent girl, and now the was on the X-team, and calling in shady favors to sneak into the Metropolitan for a Valentine's date. Go figure.
"It was a great idea, either way" he added approvingly "I can see why you like this place..."
It was even better without the crowds.
The food was also delicious. Gawain found himself enjoying the date, and getting over the fact fast that he did not plan any of it this time.
"So... what else did you have in mind?" he asked, curious to see if she had more surprises planned.

Evelyn couldn't help but feel somewhat pleased that the idea went over well. Even if the execution didn't turn out how it perhaps could have, Gawain seemed happy, and that was what mattered in the end.
Her brain fizzled to a halt though at the question of what else.
"I actually didn't think much further than this." She admitted sheepishly. "I came up with 'dinner at the MET' and went with that..." She sipped her drink and glanced around, wondering what else they could do. The echoes scrambled to think of something and her brain struggled to keep up with their jabbering.

Evelyn laughed at the idea of playing hide and seek in here. While it was appealing, it would be pretty easy to evade if she had a head start. She had access to plenty of mirror-less corridors, and she wasn't afraid of the dark or gloomy sections of the museum. For fairness sake, it would be best to be avoided.
She considered Mirror's suggestion though and took a sip of her drink as she mused over it. "My favorite? Isn't that like choosing a favorite kid or something?" She remarked with mock shock. While she adored the museum, there were areas that she did like better than others. After half the museum came alive, there were certainly painting she disliked as well.
"I guess we could try that. Although it doesn't seem like much of a Valentine's Day date. Just me showing you around a boring art museum." She said, feeling like that would appeal more to her than Gawain.

"Dunno" Gawain grinned "I was both of Mom"s favorite kids..."

"Being with you in a museum is the farthest thing from boring the way I recall" the mirrorwalker chuckled. Apart from the time they fought their way through it, Evelyn's knowledge of art usually made visits promising all kinds of fun.
"Plus, y'know. Being in here uninterrupted... and without bein' shot at... I thought maybe I'd actually learn stuff about... what you like in here." he added kind of sheepishly "But we don't have to do it if you don't want to."

Evelyn's face flushed slightly at the memory. The hide-and-go take out robbers game was fun, if not dangerous. Then again, they seemed to find danger more often since she joined the x-men. They never did get much of a chance to look at the art though. Even when Gawain came with Kate to the museum it sort of ended on a sour note.
"Plus, y'know. Being in here uninterrupted... and without bein' shot at... I thought maybe I'd actually learn stuff about... what you like in here."
The red on her cheeks seemed to stay this time, but she smiled. "Okay if you're sure. Just remember you asked for it!"
"But we don't have to do it if you don't want to."
"Too late!" She stood and held out an arm to the mirror-walker. "Since we're up here already, I guess the best place to start is the Impressionists. I'm a bit partial to Renoir myself..." Evelyn mused slightly. The museum was still dimly lit, but it should be enough to see most of the work without drawing too much attention to the fact they were here after hours. The inner gallery lights wouldn't be a problem, but get towards the outer walls and there was a chance the glow could be seen street side. It was a favor she was here, so she was trying not to directly advertise her presence and get anyone scolded.
