Evelyn beamed, and glanced back at the pictures, shrugging slightly. "You could say that. Just wait until I get some paints..." She added. Although she wasn't quite thinking about painting at this point. Maya's next question was ringing in her mind.

Evelyn crossed her arms, and pretended to consider it for a moment. "Well, I got some pencils, I could teach you to sketch..." She took a small step forward. "Or maybe we could play cards. That was fun." She was stopped a few inches away, once more tauntingly close, but not quite touching. "Or..."
So she wasn't making this easy. But somehow being a bit bratty took away a little of her nervousness.

Oh hello, Evelyn from an alternate universe. Maya's breath caught in her throat. She came back after the shift hoping to spend some more time Evelyn's company; she had assumed the moment had passed and they would settle back to their usual mix of cute and awkward. Especially since Maya was not involved. Apparently, Evelyn had other things on her mind.
"Or." she mumbled, momentarily distracted with noting how soft Evelyn's skin looked over her collarbone "I definitely choose or."

To most people, dating a gender shifter might have been odd. A short while ago she was making-out with Gawain, and now Gawain was Maya. There were definitely some things that changed between different days, but Evelyn's feelings didn't. She could note the differences in behavior at times, but Mirror was still Mirror.
And kissing Mirror was nice either way.
After a short kiss, Evelyn pulled back, and smirked once more. "You sure you don't want to play cards? I'm not tipsy this time. I could beat you." She was pretty sure her expression confirmed she wasn't interested in cards, regardless of the teasing.
Maya's eyes fluttered closed as the kiss, but apparently Evelyn was not done with the teasing.
>>"You sure you don't want to play cards? I'm not tipsy this time. I could beat you."
Maya's head dipped as she brushed her lips against the curve or her neck, one hand already on her waist.
"Tell you what" she murmured with a small smile "When you get bored with or... we can play cards." she planted a kiss below her ear "You tell me."
Of course it wasn't fair, but Evelyn couldn't really expect to do all the teasing alone. But apart from that, it also gave Evelyn a way out, in case she suddenly lost her new-found bravery. There were differences between Maya and Gawain, but this was not one of them...
The return teasing got Evelyn's heart racing more, and the answered with a slightly more intense kiss on the lips. She was pretty sure she wasn't going to be bored at this point, but appreciated the option just in case. Not that their last game of cards had been completely innocent...They could always do a rematch of that sometime.
In the corner of her eyes, she caught a glimpse of the sketch where it got placed on the desk, before her eyes closed with the moment. Memories of the night drifted back to the surface and mingled with the happy emotions now. It was a great date, and a good way to celebrate her birthday. The goodnight kiss just topped it off. And for once, the echoes were being useful in a romantic situation.
