"Anytime you wish" Gawain grinned at her over Angua's happy puppy head. He was not going to refuse displays of affection with his girlfriend. No sir.

"Well I think you are doing great" he admitted frankly, even though he wished he could have found an excuse not to put her in danger's way "And you are stubborn as hell too. So if ya insist on getting in trouble, might was well start learnin' how to get out."

And I hope I will not regret this.

Sometimes, Evelyn wished she could turn the echoes off. It would be easy to just listen to Gawain's words and not have to see the little signs of doubt. Sometimes, you could see it in the eyes. Something not quite as happy as the rest. Sometimes it was in the curve of the mouth, where the smile just didn't reach all the way. Training would be one thing, being on the field would be another. She wanted to prove she could be a good x-man. She wanted to make Gawain's concern seem unnecessary. That would take time though. And at least nothing was happening right away.

She pushed away her own doubts with a smile. "Well you are the resident expert on getting out of trouble, so at least I'm in good hands.

Somehow, she'd make sure he wouldn't regret this.
