The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

His shift in demeanor was quickly evident to the echoes, and while Evelyn was still slightly offended by his behavior, she could see that he felt bad about it at least and was trying to be apologetic. It was a start. She pushed her emotions further down, and gave the faintest hint of a smile.
"I've had the nick-name 'Holmes' for longer than I can remember. I think most people assumed I'd try to be a detective or something, so I am sort of used to it. I don't really get sick of it I guess. There are worse things they could think I'd be good at..." She remarked, sketching some more. She stared at the picture a little, waiting for her emotions to settle. Sometimes it felt like memories swirled around in her head for two long, the details sharp enough they cut and bleed emotions in her mind.

“Yeah...” agreed Clyde. His mind went into the gutter for a moment, just like that of any other teenaged guy. There were definitely worse things people could be good at...
Crap, that was kind of immature. Actually, really immature. He had to be better than that if he ever wanted to be taken seriously. Anyways, time for a subject change.
“So you go by Holmes? Oh something else?” he asked, walking up to the woman. He stuck out his hand for a handshake. “I'm Clyde, by the way.” There were worse things he'd been called, but there was no need for her to know about the names some people came up with to ridicule him.

It was immediately clear to the echoes when Clyde's mind drifted from the conversation and started thinking of something immature. Evelyn kept herself from responding though, already having upset him once today. Part of her wondered just what powers he had thought of that made his thoughts go to the gutter. He was a teenage boy though. Maybe she didn't want to know.
"You can just call me Evelyn. Nice to meet you Clyde." She moved so she could take the hand offered and shake it, then settled back into her spot. The echoes drifted back towards the show, but their comments were less detailed now that they were watching Clyde as well.

After introducing himself to Evelyn, Clyde sat back down and surfed through the few channels available. Cooking, painting, and, oh dear God, Judge Jodie... What Evelyn said about the selection was accurate. There really wasn't anything worth watching at the moment.
So, Clyde stood up and sat the remote down in front of Evelyn. “Theah's not really anything fo me on. It's yos if you want it,” he offered, before walking off.
