The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She managed to block the blow to her head with her arm, This is it I've got her now He thought as he watched the ash cloud continue to move, Then she did the whole explosion thing again, and to be quite honest he was getting annoyed at that. He watched as the cloud that would have knocked her flat burst all around, spreading throughout the air like a smoke bomb.
He had to smile slightly as she had unknowingly given him an advantage, for he could breathe in this new screen covering them but from her earlier coughs it appears she cannot. This made him feel cocky and self centered as this woman who was all cocky and annoying helped him. He willed the newly exploded cloud to spread out across them and the area around them, pulling it as thin as it would do. the area wasn't as large as he would hope but it did cover what he guessed was a 3 ft (1 yard) radius around them.
With his other hand he went to punch her in the stomach, which with the flames and smoldering mini cloud he guessed would hurt, at the same time he made the small coating of smoldering ash on his blocked hand shoot towards her face, more to blind and disorientate than to deal damage.
A fight could be won or lost in one move, one mistake; a good fighter could sense that mistake and do whatever possible to salvage their dignity and escape if possible. Tses should have sensed the tide turning when the ash dissipated into the air around her. In hindsight, it might have been better just to let it hit her. But then the screen covered her, the cloud filled her vision and invade her lungs and she struggled to hold her breathe and back out of the situation.
The smile had finally vanished from her face.
A fist hit her stomach, sending a wave of pain through her ribs. Nothing was broken, thankfully, but she could smell scorched fabric and was suddenly glad for her obsessive need for extra clothing. She stumbled, eyes tightly shut as she rolled to the side, kneeling closer to the air conditioning unit. Finally forced to inhale, she felt the ash coating her lungs and her body protesting the foreign object with a fit of coughs.
Green energy crawled up her arms and shoulders, much like the raised fur on the back of a cat as it fought to make itself look bigger. She didn’t throw another explosive though. Instead she pressed her gloved hand against her mouth and tried to filter air to breathe. Using her sense of sound to guide her, she sent a kick for her attacker’s legs. It may not do much damage right now. But she hoped it could at least keep him back for the moment.

By the sounds of her coughs she wasn't enjoying this type of environment. that was when he felt the kick knock his left leg out under him, it was surprising that she could hit him right now but it also made sense as he didn't block her hearing. Oh well in this cloud it was his world and his rule.
whilst on one knee he moved back slightly not eager to receive another hit from her, and judging by the green glow she was about to start letting loose some more explosives, which he really did not want to get hit by. Making two fists with his hands he made some of the ash around her to pull together forming two thick sections either side of her head, This would most likely make her breathing easier but he could now attack from a distance within the smokescreen. but hey he couldn't take all the fun out of the fight could he?
"So is this fun enough for ya?" He called as he made the two thick clouds within the cloud move to double punch her in the face, the first cloud would move and deliver a form of right hook immediately after a upper cut would hit from below. The density of the cloud is at enough to lift a man and keep him suspended, so Leon guessed that it would feel pretty solid when applied to her face.
Tses could hear the shuffle of movement after her kick, and tried to guess whether it had been effective. It was hard over her struggled breathing, but then the smoke condensed and she backed against the fan, sucking in air greedily.
"It's always fun until it's over." She said, a slight snap to her voice revealing the irritation she was trying to hide. She barely caught the movement of the clouds attack, trying to block the first cloud with the staff then getting knocked backwards by the second 'fist' which crashed into the side of her head when she failed ducking. Knees hit air conditioning unit, shoulder contacted metal and Tses laid flat on her back, staff resting on her chest. Winded, and somewhat disoriented, she raised a finger and told the guy what she thought about that move.
"Cheep."
She send a handful of explosives in his general direction and rolled to her feet, running for the next building in an effort to get some distance from the smoke.

He knew his plan worked when she flew out of the cloud and slammed against the air conditioning unit, by the way that she landed she most likely was pretty hurt and not happy one bit. And by the comments and body language she was not happy about the way this fight was going. But she still continued to fight sending a handful of the orbs in his direction, not confident that he could dodge them after the blow to his leg he pulled the condensed cloud before him to take the brunt of the blow. Sure enough the cloud exploded moments later reveling that was running, that was odd the cocky one who started the fight saw fit to run from him.
"Aw why are you running? Whats wrong can't you handle little old me?" He shouted to her in a mocking voice after setting off in a run after her. After all she was the one who started it and this and he was not going to let her get away. Although he knew that with his leg aching slightly from the kick she could most likely outrun him, heck she could outrun him even without the leg injury but he had his own ways around that. With a thought he sent the thin cloud of ash behind them rocketing forwards past him and low to the ground, he wasn't sure if he would make it but the ash might make running a little more tricky and in best case trip her up.
Tses tried not to think of it as 'running'. Evasive maneuvers, perhaps, but 'running' always sounded so cowardly. She stuck out her tongue over her shoulder at the kid, creating a few explosives and tossing them over her shoulder. She knew she was at a disadvantage when it came to the smoke, her only defense was putting more distance between them.
Unfortunately, the ash had pretty decent speed and she scrambled to avoid getting her legs tangled in the dark cloud. "I may be cocky, but I ain't stupid. First rule of fightin', if the battle starts sliding, level the playing field." She jumped on another air conditioning unit, glad for the warm summer heat keeping the air ventilation systems running strong. Her eyes scanned the nearby buildings, picking out her next stop. Perhaps if she played it right she could skip from one unit to the next, keeping the clouds at bay and throwing the occasional attack back at her pursuer. She didn't expect him to make the daring leap from one building to the next like she did. She grew up on the roofs, and he just didn't strike her as being quite that brave.

He anticipated the explosives but that didn't make them any easier to dodge, at least not whilst running towards them and having a bruised leg. He managed to duck the first one, not a great feat seeing as it was a blind attack. The second one however clipped him on the shoulder sending him into a sideways spin, this with is bruised leg sent him off balance and falling to the floor. He managed to break off a small amount of the cloud chasing her to break his fall, turning it into a make shift mat to land on which was surprisingly comfortable and supported his weight weirdly. Not enough to rest on but it would take a while to sink through.
Standing up he saw that she had perched herself on another air vent, he was really starting to get annoyed at them, however her comment did wonders to inflate his ego. Bringing up both of the clouds into a single swirling imitation of a tornado around his bottom half he watched what she would do. From experience he knew that the air vents posed a problem on his control, but that was the least of his problems as he could feel the strain of using his mutation for to long appearing. Namely in the form of his body temperature increasing to the point where it is quite uncomfortable.
"Well I would love to keep playing but I have better things to do so this ends soon. Very soon." He said with a very cocky smile, bringing the ash cloud above his head and breaking it into ten separate compact micro clouds, which could in some respects resemble bullets although they are about twice the size of a 50 caliber round. "So see ya." He said with all kindness gone from his voice, bringing is arms in an arc to a clap in front of him for theatrical effect, he sent all ten of the "Bullets" towards her spreading out in flight, due to the size they would normally pose little threat but the density and speed make it more problematic.
Tses watching him carefully from her perch, taking the break to breathe in as much fresh air as she could. Her lungs still burned, but she couldn't take a break quite yet. She picked this fight, and now she needed to deal with the results. The ash 'bullets' he created were something new and sent all sorts of warning signs off in her head. As they sped forward she quickly shifted her bow staff in her hand, wondering if she could play baseball with the dumb things.
It would probably be like swatting at flies. But as long as none of them hit her, she would be ok.
"What, don't already?" She called out, taking a swing at the tiny clouds and wished with all her might she could just clip him in the head with one of the dumb things. It felt like the situation could be a lot cooler than it was. She could try to dodge bullets or something that would match how bad ass it was supposed to be to have super powers. But in reality, it was about as tough looking as two kids on the play ground throwing sticks at each other.

He couldn't tell if he was amused or surprised when she tried to stand and fight the micro invasion, it would seem to him that fighting ten against one is slightly idiotic, and even more so when these ten happen to be able to change shape and fly. "Well I guess I could stay a little longer." He said slightly happy at the prospect, he didn't really worry to much about her as he was confident that he outclassed her in range. And could easily keep her away but that could just be an inflated ego talking.
Drawing a circle with his finger in the air, half because he was going for the whole theatrical look, and half because keeping all ten of these clouds under control was way harder than he made it look. The clouds now close to her started to mimic his movement and swirl around her at different times, similar to a a swarm of flies, with the occasional one darting across to smack her and rejoin the circle in the opposite side.
"Weird how annoying something so little and insignificant can be." He said to her attempts to swat the ash with her staff.
Tses glowered at his behavior. There was something immensely frustration about his powers, and while she didn't feel she was loosing too badly, it was a matter of ego more than anything else. She had been looking for a fight, true. But usually when she looked for one, she tried to pick a battle she could win. It was that whole ego thing again. He was pesky like the bullets, a fly buzzing around her ear. Her powers were a bit on the extreme side to deal with such annoyances. But it wasn't completely impossible.
"I guess you'd know that from experience, considering you probably make a living on insignificant." She countered, tossing a golfball sized explosive at him, compressing more of her limited supply of energy into it. She was getting to the lower levels of her storage of energy, each move needed more calculation and planning. If this hit him it would be a fairly solid blow, possibly enough to knock him from his feet. The 'bullets' smacked her arms and stung painfully, like painball bullets in a way, threatening to leave bruises or welts.

One minute he was listening to her taunts and concentrating on pelting her with his attacks, the next he was flat on his back. When he pulled himself back up off the floor he noticed that all of the little clouds he had made returned to him, his only guess as to why was that he lost concentration and reverted to defense. "Ouch that one kinda hurt, oh and hows your arms feelin? kinda think they sting. That's the thing I got your power figured out, but mines fluid and...versatile." He said with a little laugh.
Deciding to try a new approach to the whole thing he made all ten of the clouds fix onto one of his arms, from halfway up the forearm and down was encased. The rest of the ash kept running off the end of his arm forming a two meter long thin whip, attached entirely to his arm. The whip itself was constantly shifting and appeared to be rotating, as it shifted the cold ash from the outside closer to the fire on his body, replacing it with the glowing ash from inside that was already heated. Within a few seconds the whole thing was getting an orange tint with the color growing in intensity.
Seeing a thin screen on a vent next to him, one of those cross hatched ones only a few millimeters thick, designed to keep bugs and other things out. He spun and willed his new toy to act like a whip and watched in glee as it cut the grate in half, Leaving a trail in the air like a neon stick at a rave. "I can't tell if it cut that or melted it, want to find out?" He said with a huge smile on his face.
Tses stared down her opponent. On the one hand, getting hit by something red hot like that seemed like it would hurt like heck, and possibly leave some glamorous damage. On the other hand, he was insulting her pride. She has the upper hand when it came to fighting experience, and that was what caused her to move in the end. She started to relax her stance like she would stand down...
Then in a blur of motion she jumped from the vent, releasing an explosive orb next to his face and swinging her leg around in midair, aiming to kick him in the stomach. Her free arm stung up to protect her face in case he decided to hit her with the weapon after all.

She was standing down, at least that was what he thought until she pulled her little stunt. Catching him off guard she managed to let off one of her bombs right in his face, giving him only split seconds to react to her foot smashing into his stomach. Which hurt quite a bit and his face stung like mad, and he was pretty sure he bit his tongue when hit. As he could definitely taste a small amount of blood in his mouth. All in all he was pissed.
Seeing that she had landed and put up an arm to defend herself, he had to admit that she was putting up a good fight and pretty fearless. That or stupid. Spinning his whole body he brought the glowing whip through a large arch, leaving a small trail as it went. Meaning to bring it down on her arm, if it did connect though she would be in for a surprise as he was ready to make it wrap and curl around her arm if it made contact. Like a chain around a pole.
The whip moved through the air and connected with her arm in a painful sting. Initially, the cloth wrappings she had protecting her skin helped stop some of the force, the eventual burning sensation as the whip wrapped around brought a cry of pain from her mouth, even as she swung her fist at her opponents face in rage. Instinct wanted to try tearing at the burning cloud with her free hand, she was fairly certain that wouldn't do much good.
The green energy on her arms flared with her pain, and she wished she could do more with it than just make pretty green light shows right now...
