The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Melissa was walking home from work, while she knew the neighborhood was questionable, she had never had an actual issue. Even the Rioting had skipped over the bar, which she was glad for. She really had not wanted to deal with the damage that had affected much of the city. She was looking forward to relaxing at home in her shower, and not smelling like she had swam in a pool of liqueur, which she had once that day. Still she could not help but notice someone's foot step's behind her.
Turning to look, she caught a solid punch to the temple and staggered back, the second blow missed but backed her against a wall, that instantly made her wish she had not touched it. The man was yelling something, and Melissa realized he was attacking her because of her bar and pro mutant status as well as being a likely mutant herself. She smelled the booze on his breath as she brought her foot up in a kick, she missed and before she knew it, the man had taken her to the ground.
She struggled and tried to yell but felt a hand clamp over her mouth. SHe felt his other hand touch her chest and in response she bit the man, who drew back his hand, letting her scream echo through the night.
Enders stumbled down the street, he had failed in his mission. He had failed to kill Maxine, all he had accomplished was getting shot out of a window by a group of girls. So now Enders would drink, and drink he has. Closing out bars meant that the only ones on the streets would be other lost souls in the night so the sound of yelling wasn’t all that strange despite what was being said, the wounds caused by the riots still very fresh but Enders was sure whatever mutant was being harassed would be capable of handling himself. Enders jumped in the middle of enough fights last week. When the scream echoed out from the mouth of the alleyway however whatever buzz he was feeling from the alcohol burnt off as felt the fire in his chest skip over the whole heating up faze and shoot right into outright explosion.
His eyes instantly began to burn blue as he took off in a dead sprint towards the sound crystals sprouting with each step he took, the Marine’s rage burning out of control. As he turned the corner and came upon the site of the man pressing his body against the small woman and that would be the last thing the Marine remembers for several minutes.
Moving with deadly accuracy the Marine snatched the man’s wrist off the woman’s chest as he twisted it in the wrong direction causing the man to stand up his arm held over his head. Enders didn’t hear anything anymore as he was completely out of control a slave to his rage. Crystals sprouted across the ground surrounding the three and Enders body began to sprout them as well the spikes twisting menacingly out of his back and shoulders. Twisting the man’s wrist he held it out to the man’s side and cranking down on it the menacing sound of bones and tendons shredding echoed throughout the alley followed closely by the man’s howl of pain. The Marine wasn’t done yet with no conscious effort his knee sprouted several long spikes on it and in a quick jab of his knee to the perpetrators groin he buckled over into the fetal position as blood quickly began pooling below him.
As he came to again Enders turned towards the woman who had been laying on the floor, as he breathed deeply calming himself down to the man’s sobs Enders eyes slowly died down and returned to normal. Reaching out a hand towards the woman he scanned her for any obvious signs of injury. “Are you ok ma’am?” Enders asked as he helped the woman to her feet the crystals that had covered his back retreated back into his body.

Her fear had consumed her to the point, where she did not immediately realize the man who had been trying to rape her, had been removed. She heard the sounds of cracking bone and the like but it never quite registered in her mind. Had she seen What ender's had done, she might have lost whatever she had eaten earlier. Her mind only punched through the veil when she heard someone talking to her. She pulled her hand back at first before her mind was able to distinguish this was a different man.
She had no idea who he was, but the crystals caught her eye and she understood that even if this new man was a threat, he was not the same one she had encountered. She took the man's hand and realized just how much her feet were shaking when she had to rely on the man, to stand for a few seconds.
"Y-Yes, th-thank you.." she said trying to regain her composure. She knew she should be more upset by what had just happened, but she just felt numb and her thought's disordered.
"If its.....not to much trouble, could you walk me home, i live close" she said hoping her voice did not sound quite as bad as she felt. Putting her hand's in front of her face, she closed her eyes for a second trying to chase the helpless feeling away. She would give the man directions. "I can't offer much, But i have some liqueur" she said the word's out of her moulth before she knew she had said them. Before her mind could protect further, the thought was crushed by the thick clouds in her mind.
"Y-Yes, th-thank you.. If its.....not to much trouble, could you walk me home, I live close. I can't offer much, But I have some liqueur" At first the young lady pulled away from Enders but soon she gripped onto him and used him for support as she tried to regain her composure. At the sight of the young ladies distress the Marine felt the anger in his chest brew but looking back at the assailant the screams and cries were already weakening as blood poured from his body. It would be about seven minutes total before the bastard bleed out due to the injury Enders had inflicted and it was a death Enders wouldn’t lose any sleep over.
“Sure I don’t mind getting you home. No payments necessary Miss.” The words left Enders mouth and on one side he did genuinely mean what he said but the thought of liqueur teased the troubled Marine’s mind as the itch for booze flared inside him. The Marine was careful to not touch the young woman any more than she was comfortable with he knew of the sensitivity that came with a situation she had just experience so as the Marine set himself between the girls line of sight and the dying man he made sure to avoid touching her at all. “After you miss.” Enders said making his gruff voice as unthreatening as possible as he held a hand out leading her away from the now silent man lying behind him.

She did her best not to consider the screams of the dieing man. She found it easier then she thought she should have but chose not to dwell on that. Deciding they should depart quickly, she looked around and guided her Savoir down the street. The path was quite though a few questionable characters seems to hang around a run down apartment building with boarded up windows. When they approached her apartment building it looked decent considering the neighborhood, but the neglect was obvious.
Since she only lived a few block's from work, she sometimes walked when the weather was nice enough. However she did figure that would not be the case for quite some time now. Reaching her door, she opened it without a thought and stepped in, turning on the lights.
The Apartment was clean enough, but the smell of liquor was a bit heavy. The wall's of the living room they had walked into, were lining with over a dozen kiddie pool's, some with various ingredient's in them, all filled to within a few inches of the top. The curtain's were heavy and let little light through. On shelf's were unlabeled bottles some filled to various point's others empty, most were only marked by a colored ribbon and a number on the ribbon.
She had avoided bringing people to where she lived for this reason, one could almost taste the liquor in the air and her neighbors were fairly convinced she was a heavy alcoholic. The situation at least to her mind begged to be explained. "I am a Mutant as well, My skin turns any water it touches into well...." she said sweeping the room with her hand. She was still nervous but it was nice to shift her focus to something else.
Grabbing a yellow ribbened bottle from the shelf, she opened it, and drank a decent amount right out of the bottle. "The stuff in the pool's is not ready yet, i can make the liqueur but the flavoring takes more time" she explained offering him the bottle.
Enders followed the young woman through poorly lit streets, the area boarded from what Enders had gathered to be the area bordering the mutant and human populations an area plagued by constant violence by one group on the other, each side seeing victims to the nonsense. Each group they passed Enders carefully observed some openly staring down some watching out of the corner of his eyes. It wasn’t long however before the pair reached an apartment building and quickly entered into it. As the black haired girl opened the door to a room the Marine was smacked in the face with the smell of alcohol and he felt his mouth begin to water at the smell.
"I am a Mutant as well, My skin turns any water it touches into well...." Enders watched as the woman stepped in with a sweeping explanation of why she had several small sized pools littering the floor of her domicile. Assuming the invitation the Marine stepped in through the threshold of the apartment but remained close to the exit incase his presence was no longer requested. His eyes followed her as she grabbed a bottle of a nearby shelf and proceeded to chug from it before offering it to him. "The stuff in the pool's is not ready yet, I can make the liqueur but the flavoring takes more time"
Gripping the bottle he looked at its contents for a moment surprised at the young girls ability and assumed that was he was drinking was of her own making. Looking back at her he pressed the bottle to his lips and drank from it deeply before letting the bottle tip back. “Well thats quite a useful ability.” Enders said as he swallowed down the drink licking his lips for a moment before clearing them with his forefinger and thumb on his free hand. Holding the bottle back towards his new host. He stepped to leave, he didn’t want to make any assumptions about the young woman and certainly didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable considering the situation he had rescued her from his own mind telling him that being around a strange man was probably the last thing she needed for the night.
“If your good Miss, I suppose this is goodnight...” Enders moved to leave, the young lady was beautiful no doubt but making any sort of move on her, despite his admiration for her ability, seemed to be in poor taste even for him.

"It does come in handy" she admitted shyly. She was normally proud of her creations. She still was though things had gotten complicated today and it felt different. Still as she looked around it was certainly home, even if it smelled worse then her bar.
Not for the first time she wished she had any number of powers that could have prevented the day's event's from happening at all. Her own power had no aggressive uses, besides maybe splashing someone in the eye.
"It can get annoying though as it won't turn off" she admitted. Her skin simply turned any body of water she was in contact with to booze. She could shape it, control it but not stop it. This made the simpler thing's like a shower much harder then it should have been.
"If you like you can stay a bit" she offered him, unsure why she was doing so. Still for some reason it felt comforting to have the man around. Their was little in the way of actual hospitality. She was sure she would see him again anyway though. She hoped this strange helpless feeling would fade soon, she was unused to it and did not at all care for it.
