The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((OOC: This is the first half. I will post the second half later.))
Darkness beyond the black void of space is all that can be seen in any direction. There is no ground to speak of, nothing solid. Only one thing, one object stands out in this black world: A huge red serpentine monster, horns jutting out from it's head; gigantic, powerful wings, slanted, intelligent, dangerous, beautiful, red eyes looking out over this dark world; a maw wide and large, filled with sharp and jagged teeth, each longer than an average human, and thick as a man's torso; a glowing silver orb sitting in it's massive clawed hand.
This orb, the beast watched most intensely. Watched every subtle shift, jerk, thrash, smile, every balled fist, every blink, pump of the heart, and most recently, every large tear fall down the cheeks of the figure inside.
Slightly curled, a silver haired man, at the pinicle of human physical perfection, was in a deep sleep. The beast used a claw to trace a crack running along the orb's surface."Soon...."A deep, blood-slick, beautiful voice spoke. The beast moved it's claw away from the crack when a pair of silver eyes flashed angrily at him.
Laughing, clearly enjoying himself.Ahhh..."It's voice trailing off into a sigh,"Aivashi, poor Aivashi. So small, pethetic and weak. You never had a chance."The beast gave the eyes a toothy smirk. Silver-slick, soft and innocent."Sarrus! You will not win! You will not take the boy!"The pair of eyes flared an angry silver, illuminating the giant beast.
Sarrus laughed, knowing the truth of the words he spoke."But I already won. All those many years ago."Sarrus' light tone became a cold death stare, eyes narrowed.
A soft whisper began, but was cut off by Sarrus' booming voice."Silence! I suffer your existence for one simple reason: So he may understand their world!"The words sent a convulsion through the figure's body."He suffers because of you. You lost. You're weak. Needing, waiting, and hoping for help. Help that never came!"Sarrus sneered at the silver eyes as another convulsion hit the figure."Remember this, Little Aivashi, you and he, WE would not be here if it were not for me. My actions, my will. How many times, how long, would we have suffered if you had your way?"Aivashi looked down, away from Sarrus' gaze, knowing he spoke the truth Aivashi couldn't deny. A long moment passed, in which neither spoke.
A heart skipped a beat, the two looked at the figure. Sarrus with a knowing smile, and Aivashi with concern, fear, and unease in his eyes."It's begun"Sarrus' words were flat and even."....What has?"Aivashi asked, knowing Sarrus was more connected and in tune with, everything, within Kaz. Soft and almost gentle,"Shhhhhhh.....watch and find out."The heart skipped a beat for a second time, then a third, a forth, but no fifth, as the heart stopped beating....

((OOC: Second half.))
Alone, alone in a silent, dark room, with only the fine edge of swords, knives, and other blades to bare witness to Kaz's death....and awakening.
His heart stopped. The room quieted, the air stilled, as if the room was holding it's breath. Only the slightest sound of the vent cycling the clean air into the underground chambers could be heard.
At all once Kaz's eyes snapped open, revealing slanted eyes, with beast-like irises. *Thump, thump, thump, thump, thumpthumpthump* His heart went into overdrive, blood pressure skyrocketing. Throat locking up, as he tried to breath. Hands gripping the sides of the bed, as he chest heaved upwards. Body in full convulsion. Head snapping to the sides, his jaw unhinging as it expanded and split at the chin, widening his mouth.
A hellish sound came forth from Kaz's widened mouth as his throat opened. This yell, scream, growl, was insanely loud, spanning the sound spectrum, from the highest pitch to the lowest all at once. Hair exploded from Kaz's head, spilling over his face. Rolling off the bed Kaz held himself up with his arms, long, thick, silver strand spilled down his back. Kaz's head twitched as his body convulsed.
Kaz's ears burned, reaching up to touch his right ear, he found that it had elongated, becoming pointed. His arm buckled as it spasmed. When he looked at it, it bulged, muscles pushed against his skin, threatening to split it. The same bulging happened to all of his limbs and torso. Kaz thrashed on the ground as pain washed over him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After long minutes had passed, Kaz rose from the floor, the pain finally subsided. Looking to the full length wall mirror on the wall, he saw it was cracked and spider webbed. Did he hit it while he was thrashing around? Or did his yell do it? He had no idea, he couldn't remember. Looking into the mirror, he saw he had grown nearly six inches. His hair was wild, and spilled down his face and back in thick locks. His brow slanted slightly, angling his eyes, which gave him a feral look, his red eyes were streaked with small bits of silver coloring, his iris's were slitted. His ears were deffinantly tipped and angled, reminding him of an elf's or a vulcan's. Looking as if he had gained at least 50lbs from the bulk he gained. Skin severely stretched over his muscles, able to see each groove of the muscles, as if he had injected himself with some crazy powerful steroid. Kaz felt heavy as he moved his limbs, though he could feel the power within them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Marvelous, just marvelous. Don't you agree Aivashi?"Sarrus spoke as he watched Kaz's transformation via the orb in his hand. A grin on the dragon's face. Aivashi's eyes were wide with surprise. Aivashi was speechless and awestruck.
