The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Very well then. Walk with me." Syn smiled at Omen. She was liking the girl so far. She could prove to be a valuable asset or partner.
Heading down the main hall Syn pointed out everything from the recreational area to the medical wing to the dining area and the rooms for the residents. "So what do you think of the place? Would you be interested in staying?"
Omen was obviously hesitant about the place because she paused as she answered. However, she liked Syn, the girl was pretty and, by the game she played with Zephyr she seemed smart and calm.
Omen couldn't handle people who weren't calm.
Made her want to kill them.
After a minute she smiled, focusing her eyes on Syn. "sure, why not? Is there rent or anything you need from me before I get a room?"
Shaking her head slightly and returning the smile. "Not at all my dear. To stay here is free. All we ask is that you fill out some paperwork att he front desk. It just asks general questions as well as what your mutation is. We try to accomodate everyone so we ask that incase something has to be altered within Sanctuary to help everyone be comfortable."
Syn paused from heading back to the front desk. "Is there anything else on your mind Omen?"
"Probably, but I can't imagine any of it being appropraite." she winked.
"I'm also new to the city, I'm from florida." she admitted. "So I don't know anything about the area. You can fill me in on clubs...unless you don't party..." she cast a sly, teasing smile.
Syn smiled big when Omen complimented her attitude. No one has ever really given her props for it. Most times they wanted to do something about it. "Thank you for that. You seem to be something of a kindred spirit and that's what is making me like you. I'd love to take you out sometime." Syn winked back to Omen.
The woman was definately someone Syn wanted to get to know and have stick around. So far this new arrival got along with Syn the best out of all the others she has met so far. "I'm somewhat picky too."
Omen laughed. "That's good. You should only demand the best for yourself, no one else is going to look out for you." This may have been a slight glimpse at her beliefs a warning maybe.
But Omen could tell that Syn liked her, which was what she was aiming for. She had no alterior motive, she probably never would; she wasn't into using people, she just wanted a good time.
"You've got a nice smile, honey." she ventured. "who's claiming that pretty face of yours?" Well aware that she could get slapped or scare the girl off she only smiled confidently in anticipation for the answer.
"Oh trust me when I say that I do look out for myself." Thoughts of her siblings raced throu her head though mostly they were of Deathstar.
Omen's compliment made Syn smile more. "No one is claiming it. Just myself. why? Are you hoping to have a shot?" Syn wasn't affraid of seeming offensive. When she wasn't playing mind games she was very up front.
"Well, I'm gald you like my looks and that you think I'm fun. You're very pretty and interesting as well" Syn winks at Omen and smiles. "You didn't really answer my question though."
"I can adapt to things very well as well as being able to influence people. Don't worry I haven't used it on you. I thought I'd see how you are on your own."
Omen grinned, she was avoiding the question. "I like to keep things a surprise." she teased.
"influence? That sounds very, very useful. How effective is it?" Omen seemed genuinely interested which, could be scary had Syn known anything of her past. She didn't take interest in things for good reason's usually.
Omen nodded. "Yeah, sure let's go sit somewhere...um..." she glanced back at the door. "I've got my cycle outside with all my stuff on it, it's gonna be alright, right?
