The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

> "Yeah, I got away, although I did take a nice beating. Should be alright > though. Just need some rest."
"Cool. Let me check on the download and I’ll call you back."
Once the conversation is over, she hangs up and goes back to thinking about next steps. She’s almost reached Tony’s apartment, so all she needs to do now is…
… *
… she checks the server and cheers quietly when she notes the database download has completed successfully. All right! I did it! She can’t remember ever being quite this excited about anything, and no wonder! Sure, there had been some unplanned bobbles, but basically the whole thing had gone off like clockwork.
She starts burning the data to disk, then calls Shade back on her phone. "Mission accomplished, partner… couldn’t have done it without you. I’ll be done burning to disk in about ten minutes and ready to deliver it to the boss… wanna join me for the victory celebration back at Resistance HQ? They’ve got a pretty decent med center, if you want someone to take a look at you… "

During the time, Sonya had been 'checking the servicer' the hooded mutant had gathered some medical supplies as he tried to stop the pain in his side. The job had been done hurriedly and badly, but it did stop most of the bleeding.
"Sure, sounds great..." Shade said, although his voice was rather monotoned and almost rude.
"I don't think any hospital will take a mutant in without having them arrested. Do you want to come get me or shall I just teleport there?"
> "Sure, sounds great... I don't think any hospital will take a mutant in > without having them arrested. Do you want to come get me or shall > I just teleport there?"
"If you feel up to teleporting directly there, that's probably fastest... but if not, I can come get you if you let me know where you are..." She suddenly remembers that she ditched Tony's car, though she can't quite remember when or where... but it doesn't matter, her own car is not far from here, and can't be as easily tracked anyway.
The first set of CDs is done, and Sonya is about to shut down the server when it occurs to her that having her own private copy wouldn't be a bad thing either. So she starts burning another set while waiting for Shade's reply.
(ooc: it more things a little quicker. I'm just going to say that i know where the warehouse is at if that is alright with you.)
"Yeah, I'll do that. I got it in me." Shade said. In his weakened state, Shade knew it would be a little tougher to concentrate. However, he could do it.
Moving several blocks at a time, Shade made his way to the warehouse. It took him a couple of minutes to recover every jump, but he was making progress. Still, a couple of jumps away, Shade 'slipped' a jump accidentally teleporting under a hotdog stand's umbrella causing a nice commotion as the cart was flipped and angrying the operator. He managed to slip into the shadows of a building before the authorities arrived.
Finally after about 15 minutes, he jumped into a shady corner of the warehouse and stumbled into the light. Breathing heavily and sweating lightly, Shade tried to catch his breathe.
Sonya/Teresa is startled by Shade’s arrival, and even more so by his appearance. "Jeez… you look like – well, like you’ve been worked over by a mechanical terror, which I guess you were. But mission accomplished, partner!" She holds up a set of CDs, having sequestered the second set in her clothes. "Now we just deliver them to the boss, and you to the doctor’s."
(( OOC: I figure we can end this here… Sonya will drive Shade to Mondragon Labs and get him to the medical facilities there. Feel free to post anywhere in the Labs. ))
