The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((Man...I suck at fight scenes...so bear with me...okay?))
The monster bent down, nearly being knocked down by Hunter's low kick. It snarrled at the man. It leapt towards the man, and tried and corner him down. It observed that Hunter was trying to do something. But at the moment it didn't know what. ::Pathetic meatsac...:: It voiced, closing on Hunter like a Lion on the prey.
It seemed as though the monster was slower than usual, because of the wound, that was taking a slower time than usual to heal. It tried to ignore this aspect as it swiped at Hunter, grabbing hold of him, by the collar of his shirt and raising him up above his head.
(OOC: Hunter’s hunting outfit has no shirt, it’s a long red leather coat, combat trousers and boots so I’m going to take it as you grabbing the coat collar. Don’t worry about lack or RPing fight skill, consider this a practise)
IC: Hunter slipped out of the coat dropping to the floor. As he landed he bent his knees, then sprung forward aiming a straight kick at the beasts knee. Once the kick landed he intended to keep his foot on the monster’s knee and use it as a platform to spin up his other foot to kick it in the ribs.
If the monster dodged his first kick he instead propel himself backwards into the wall, push off and flip over the monster’s head, getting back into the centre of the room and giving himself space to manoeuvre.
His advantage was speed and skill, and to utilise those fully he would need space to move in. if caught in a corner he would be forced to trade blows with the creature, which judging by its size and build would be a poor choice of strategy.
((Thanks fer the patience..fighting skillz at rping..are my weaking points...))
It bent down due to the cause of Hunter's kick on it's knee's. It observed silently that the man was obiously try to disable it's movements. Fine if that's how its going to be, then it too, would carefully plan it's next moves. Letting go of the coat, it crouched down preparing to tackle Hunter down. It kept it's gaze on him, watching closely and taking all the shots that Hunter threw at it. Its jaws opened, it tongue lazily licking it's lips. It seemed amused with it situation and was enjoying every moment of it. The blood from it's open wound dripped onto the floor, only fueling it's rage even more as it prepared to attack.
Hunter crouched and readied for his next attack. The scent of blood was in the air, rousing him to fight. Darting forward he swung a series of rapid punches at the creature’s ribs with the intent of trying to crack a few of them.
He’d keep hitting until the monster stopped him in some way, so braced himself for the inevitable counter attack, ready to roll with and blow. What he kept his eyes on was the beast’s jaws, as if it bit down and latched on he could be in real trouble. He would dodge any attempt to bite him, even if it meant moving into another attack, as getting caught by those jaws would be devastating.
While being punched rappidly in the ribs, the monster growled, snatching the man in its arms. It squeezed, digging it's claws into Hunter's skin. Very amused, and deeply hungered the monster, held onto the man as long as it could, trying to pin him down as much as it could. It's breath was on Hunter's neck bending in, ignoring the attacks being sent it's way. ::Ya can't keep runnin' fere'er..::It voiced, hungerly.
Hunter growled back at the beast, his own fangs extending as it sank its claws into him. He needed space and soon. Spinning an elbow to strike the monster in the jaw he followed up with two more strikes, once to each of the beast’s wrists.
The strikes were angled to knock the claws out while doing minimal damage to Hunter. Once free he would use his agility and the wall as a push off to flip over the monster’s head. Once over he’d back into the centre of the room, gaining him the space he wanted.
It's jaw snapped closed from the sudden blow. It then reered from the hits to its wrists. This man sure was a nuicannce, it thought to itself, breathing heavily. Just what does this man want anyway? It didn't know anything, except that it wanted to win, badly. And if that made it so that it would be severly injured than so be it.
It stood, watching the man shortly before it jumped at the wall. It landed there, it's claws dug into the wall, and it climbed finding a spot so it would be a geat area to attack from. It growled, looking down upon at the man. When it was satified and sure that it was in the perfect position it released it's claws, dropping down onto the man, headfirst, his jaw wide open, drool dripping from it. It arms reached out, just incase it would miss and would need to roll away.
As Hunter flipped over the monster he could already feel the claw wounds clotting. Landing he turned to see that the beast had climbed the wall and looked ready to launch itself down.
He was right as the creature leapt at him. Diving forward he rolled and ended up behind the monster after it landed. Linking his fist together he spun and swung both aiming for the creature’s lower back, putting all his power into the blow.
While each attack individually was not doing a great deal of damage, he kept landing blows and each one was taking a toll, however small, on the monster. Ling Chi, death by a thousand cuts. Originally a method of Chinese torture that he had learnt and mastered it effectively summed up his strategy in this battle.
He could not hope to bring down Terrance’s beast form in a single blow, so it would take the combined effects of multiple hits to lay it low. The injuries that he had sustained in the bar fight would make Hunter’s job easier, as he had already taken a few quite serious cuts before the fight began.
Why wasn't any of it's attacks landing, it wondered, it's nails sliding across the floor before it came to halt. It had froze right in front of the electrified wall. Deep down it knew that this spot was bad in particular and had stopped just in time so it wouldn't be injured more.

The kick of Hunter's was strong enough to snap a rib. The noise of the bone breaking could be heard, through the room. The monster roared, now not caring about the electrified area and ramming into it. The shock added more to it's pain and it appeared to be weakening with each attack that was successfully landed.

All these blows from Hunter only angered the monster more. As it tried to swipe at the man, it would receive a sharp pain in both two areas that it was wounded. It weakly straightened, its claws scratching against the floor as it dragged itself, and tried to prepare a few final attacks before it was done.
Hunter stepped back and watched as the wounded beast turned to face him. He knew that this would be the most dangerous part of the fight. The creature’s eyes showed that it knew it was beaten, but it intended to go down fighting, bringing Hunter with it if possible.
His final attack would have to be a careful one. He needed to strike a finishing blow while avoiding a furious counter attack that was sure to come. Assessing the monster’s injuries it seemed that another strike to the ribs would be the most effective way to bring it down.
Usually he would prefer to use a head or neck strike to finish off an opponent, but with the injuries that the creature had sustained to its rib it was a weak spot. Hunter moved forward cautiously. Fainting one way he suddenly changed direction and lunged for the damaged ribs. He was aiming to hit with a quick double strike, once with each fist.
(OOC: Feel free to nail me with a final big counter attack Terrance)
The monster eyed the man greedily, it's mouth beginning to drool. It took advantage of Hunter's desicion to keep moving foward, and decided it would last one final attack. It paused for a moment, summoning up some of the last of it's strength. When Hunter had gotten close enough, it jumped over Hunter, ramming him into the electrified wall, and sinking his teeth into Hunter's torso. It dug in deep, it's tongue lapping up the blood that gushed out like it was milk to a cat. The electricity that surged through it's body burned it's insides, which should have hurt Hunter too, as he was supposed to be receiving all the electricity at once.
((I didn't know..so I just picked a random idea....I can change this if ya want))
Hunter’s strike only landed glancing blows as the beast leapt over him. Whirling to meet it he saw a fanged maw aimed at his torso. His quick reflexes allowed him to grab the creature’s jaws and prevented the fangs from sinking in too deep.
But it didn’t prevent him being driven into the electrified wall. A howl of pain escaped his lips as the electricity coursed through both him and the monster. However, he had suffered minimal injuries up to this point, and so despite bearing the brunt of the electrical force it laid the monster low before him.
When the creature finally collapsed Hunter fell with it, his torso still caught in its jaws. Forcing the jaws Hunter rolled free and climbed to his feet. Breathing heavily he quickly looked himself over.
The only wounds that he’d suffered from the monster were the claw wounds, which where already healing, and the bite marks, which while large had already scabbed over. But worse than both of those was the electrocution. He’d set the wall to a high power level to stop the beast getting out.
Despite it all however, he was still standing, and the creature wasn’t. He could clearly see its chest rise and fall, so knew that he hadn’t killed it. Going to retrieve his coat from where the monster had dropped it he put it on and stepped out of the cell.
Taking a large syringe he went back in and stuck it into the beast, drawing a large sample of blood. With that taken he let the cell and closed it behind him. Handing the syringe to an orderly he said, “Send that to Dr Ingram for analysis. Tell him it was taken from the subject in cell 003 while in his beast state.”
The orderly nodded and scurried away while Hunter sat on the bench opposite the cell and watched. He would wait and see how long it took the monster to awake and if it would change back before then.
Completely exausted and utterly in pain, the monster shrank in size, the fur falling off. Once again there was almost a completely nude man, lying unconcious. Covered in blood, and fur that stuck to his skin, because of the blood. His mouth opened slightly, letting out a small gasp, as he breathed and the pain struck him with each breathe he took. At the moment he was there pysically(sp?) but not fully mentallly. His mind drifted and he became sucked into his thoughts that became dreams, dreams of memories, and past ordeals.
::There was the moon lifting up over the trees. His body feels..different. Strange..It...hurts...hands...covered in red liquid...blood...smells..so many..different smells...screams...hers...the bleating of a goat being intereupted as his hands rips through it's body...it's lifeless corpse soon staring up at him...the sound of a woman screaming...her footsteps growing distant from him as he ran towards her...the beautiful sound of her snapping neck...all the bloodied maids lying in the dirt paved streets...his father's bulging eyes as half his body was torn away...::
((ooc. I just realized that this post reminds me a lot of Three Day's Grace's "Time of Dying"....lol...))
Hunter watched as the beast turned back into Terrance. It seemed that enough pain could cause the transformation to reverse, something he would remember. Taking another, smaller syringe he stepped back into the cell and took another blood sample.
Handing it to another orderly he said, “Take this to Dr Ingram, and tell him it’s from the same patient in cell 003 but in his human form this time.” The orderly nodded and went to deliver the sample.
Hunter took his seat again and waited to see if Terrance would wake up. He had taken everything useful that he could from him. Normally he would have just killed him at this point, but if he was a mansion resident then he would have to return him.
However, he couldn’t just let him go with the knowledge of what happened here. He would have to seal that away in his mind using his mesmerising ability, and to do that he’d need Terrance awake. “You,” he said to another orderly, “Bring me a bucket of water.”
The orderly shot off and quickly returned with the bucket. Hunter deactivated the electric wall, went back into the cell and dumped the cold water on Terrance. “Wake up,” he shouted.
He snapped out of his dreams, the water making Terrance jolt, and rise quickly. He rubbed his temples, and grasped at his chest when he felt the jab of pain that shot through him. "Shi-" He cursed. He looked around, almost forgetting where he was then the recent fight came back to him. ::So much fer a nap...:: He thought grimly. He used a hand to raised him from the ground, he knelt, trying to rise, but came short when the pain stopped him. "Wha' now?" he asked, his free hand grasping a wound.
