The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

<"Don't push her Nail,"> Iris thought silently. <"You don't know what she can do.">
Aloud she said, "We're doing just fine, thanks. Nice of you to check. Bye!" She put on a fake smile and waved, hoping the girl would simply disappear again. As much as she hated being cooped up and left in the dark, with Syn around Iris actually felt safer in the cell.
"You two certainly are a fun bunch," Syn said while laughing.
She smiled at Nail as he tried to put on his tough man act. Her tone became very serious as she made her next statement. "Believe me, I'd love to do more than I am right now."
Looking at Iris she noticed the girl looking very uneasy. "Something bothering you Iris? Do I make you nervous?"
Nail shame!ed an eyebrow at Syns statement. If he were half as mature as he was, and in a far less serious situation, he might have asked her if she was hitting on him. Probably not the best thing for the rabbit to ask the wolf.
Still, she did tell them something important. She obviously couldn't hurt them. At least not without good reason. She was restricted, just like them, meaning that there would have to be others in higher places pulling the strings in this little pupette show.
"Don't let her get inside your head Iris..." he thought to himself.

"Something bothering you Iris? Do I make you nervous?"
Nervous? A bit. Creeped out? Definately. Was she going to say that out loud? Not a chance.
She kept the smile in place and said, "Oh, not at all. I just figured you must very busy with.... um...." She waved her hand, indicating the whole situation they were in." "We don't want to waste anymore of your precious time than necessary."
Iris shot a glance at Nail, then turned back to Syn.
"Aww, that's so sweet of the two of you." Syn gave them both a very cheesy smile that was obviously fake. "However, you two are my job at the moment."
She stopped to look at them both like a predator that is moments away from taking it's prey. She knew she was getting to them and the thought of it made her smile both inside and out. If only she were a telepath so she could know what sort of nightmares they might be imagining to themselves.

"Heh heh. Oh joy." Iris couldn't help it; she shuddered. Suddenly her imagination's fears didn't seem all that bad. "Hope you get paid better than a normal babysitter."
The instant the words were out of her mouth, she regretted it. But she was tired and irritable and, apparently, having a hard time keeping hold of her emotions.

Curious as to how the captives were doing, more spacificly Iris than Nail, Kaz went to the hidden area underneath KP. A few of the guards Dorian had placed on the upper of the subterranean levels looked, or gawked at him as he passed. Most stepped back a few feet, not wanting to get in his way. His two smaller arms crossed over his large chest, while the others hung at his side, his strides long and smooth.
Taking the elevator down, he looked down the hall a ways when it stopped at the lowest level. He saw black hair, with bits of here and there. <Syn.> Walking quietly down the hall, he reached the main cell door and opened it. One of his large hands reached up in front of Syn's face as he moved close to her, one claw nearly touching her face. He had stopped out side the door just long enough to hear a bit of the conversation. His voice was nearly the same, though with a gruffer undertone. "You do have a way of getting under people's skin my dear, dear Syn. Your words a few days ago, I very much wanted to rip your throat out." Kaz had to push down the urge to tear the woman's head from her shoulders. Instead, using his smaller arms, he pushed the woman aside to he could move fully into the cell room.
His pants bent awkwardly on his legs. His chest was covered with just a black, very stretched out, beater. Taking a look at Nail he smiled a toothy grin. With his other large hand he put the claws up to Nail's cell door. Pressing on it, he brought his hand down slashing the cell door, the slash was deep enough to allow his claws to fully reach through into the cell. When there was an opening he pushed that hand through towards Nail and chuckled slightly. He pulled his hand out and the cell door sealed up. Turning his gaze to Iris. "I see you're finally over the effects of the drugs."

"Don't worry Iris. I'm enjoying my job at the moment."
<"I'll bet,"> Iris thought, and gulped. When Syn turned her attention to Nail, Iris took a quick drink to wet her dry throat. She twisted the cap back onto the bottle just as she noticed a slight movement in her periphial vision. Her jaw dropped, and so did the water bottle, when someone... something... appeared in the hallway. It was almost comical how wide her eyes were.
The creature paused next to Syn. "You do have a way of getting under people's skin my dear, dear Syn. Your words a few days ago, I very much wanted to rip your throat out." That voice sounded awfully familiar. She wondered if Nail's heart was beating as fast as her was right then.
Then it.... he.... turned to look at her. She froze, and if possible, her eyes grew even wider.
"I see you're finally over the effects of the drugs."
Her mouth opened and closed a few times before anything actually came out. Finally, "I'm.... I'm beginning.... to wonder...." Her voice was a bit hoarse from exhaustion and fear.

Kaz laughed at Iris' reaction. It was automatic. The look on her face was just priceless. Kaz dipped low, seeming to squat almost, until he was at eye level with Iris, this dropped him nearly two full feet. The extra slack in his pants was no more, as they became tight on his legs. A smaller arm reached up and opened the cell door. "I assure you, you're quite over the effects." With the opposite small arm he reached up and touched Iris' cheek. The hands and skin on the smaller arms was soft and smooth and had no claws. They were also gentle. His larger arms were hanging slightly bent, relaxed, but they were poised and ready if either Syn or Iris tried anything.

Iris automatcially backed up as the creature moved toward her. Sure, she was fast getting used to seeing strange things, but this? Her heart nearly stopped. "I assure you, you're quite over the effects."
Iris blinked. The hand on her cheek, the red eyes, the silver hair (granted there was a lot more of it).... and the voice....
<"No way. NOT possible,"> kept repeating in her mind. Aloud, she managed to squeak out, "K.... Kaz?"
Again she retreated, moving back toward the corner, too freaked out to take advantage of a possible escape route. "Wha....what happened to you??"
She glanced at Syn. Had she had something to do with this?

Kaz laughed bit when Iris retreated from his touch. Though it only took that moment of contact for him to get the information he needed. Pulse was steady, though elevated from fear; skin was flushed, though normal; eyes were normal, though wide. "K....Kaz?" Iris squeaked out. "Iris." Kaz responded in turn, a smile on his face. "Wha....what happened to you??" "That my dear, is a very long story. Which I'd probably have to flay you while I told it, for you to fully understand." Chuckling a bit as he stepped forward. He noticed her glance at Syn, and smiled. "Sufficient to say, I woke up this morning in this beautiful body. Though it was a bit difficult to get use to walking and four arms." Kaz 'sat' down, his knees nearly resting on the floor, dropping him another half foot. "Closest I can come to guess," He looked Iris and then Syn from the corner of his eye as spoke, "I had a second mutation." He couldn't help but laugh.
Nail thought Syn was trouble, but this guy, was a competely new realm. He lumbered in, as if ready to go on a rampage, and Nail wondered for a split second if Syn was about to get kill. But that of course, would be to good to be true.
Nail did not recognise the twisted man at all. But aparently he recognised him. Nail was still close to the front of the cell when he placed his hand on the glass. He watched in awe as he sliced the wall open, and then shot his hand through.
Almost instantly, crystal coated his chest, and long, very deadly looking spikes shot out to protect him. The spikes came within half an inch of the monsters claw befor it puled inself back through and the glass melded over.
"Now I know just what kind of freaks we're dealing with..."
He watched and shivered with hate as the mostrosity touched Iris. He felt helpless, but it didn't he couldn't take names for later.
"Kaz huh?" He half whispered to himslef.
It was at this moment more than ever that he truely wished he were free. So he could killl these people who were doing this to them. If this is what they did to themselves, he could only imagine what they did to the other prisoners.
He didn't bother saying anything or asking any questions. He simply stood and staired, boiling with anger.
Syn was too busy taunting Iris and Nail to notice someone else had come in. She enjoyed her mind game she was playing with the two captives. That ended when a claw moved infront of her face. The girl took a step back as she didn't know who or what it was. When the creature made a comment about something she had said at a previous time it made her think.
Her thoughts were confirmed when Iris asked the thing if it was Kaz and Kaz replied back. Syn now took the time to look him over while he was busy with Iris. He looked like a bad werewolf imitation. At least that's what she thought. Her sense of humor as well as her attitude both quickly returned when Kaz mention waking up with a beautiful body.
Syn couldn't help but laugh. "Well, Kaz...if you think that's a beautiful body then you should stay away form any beauty contests. Have you even looked in a mirror lately?" The girl paused as anew thought popped into her head. "Hmm...I wonder how well your friend will react to your new self."

Kaz laughed when Syn got her wits back. "Ahh, my dear. You're quite right, I should stay away. It wouldn't be much of a contest when the rest of the contestants turn up dead, their innards strune about the floor." Raising a large hand he held it close to Syn's face, palm up, as he moved his claws near her skin. "Or their faces shredded." Lowing his hand, he had his outstretched hand trace the woman's figure until it reached her gut, where he made a fist. His face was a full smile.
".....your new self."
"That will be interesting...if it ever happens." With that Kaz began to shrink, the smaller pair of arms becoming smaller until they disappeared into his sides, his larger arms shrunk to their normal size, claws retracting. His face flattened as his legs returned to that of normal humans. His hair stayed the same as it was, long and full, his ears also stayed tipped.
"Not all changes are perminant." Kaz looked like his normal self as he stepped back and closed Iris' cell door.
