Aurion didn't use the Gym much, he didn't really see the point. What would he do? Use a treadmill? Did they have one that he could use and not crush with his weight, or tear up with his claws? Not very likely. What about weights? Did they have two ton weights he could lift? That would be unlikely. He could possibly ask Jupiter or one of his brothers about that, their strength far outstripped his, maybe they'd have an idea what he could do to push himself.
No Aurion didn't use the Gym to work out or improve his physical abilities. Aurion went for the pool. A nice, long, deep, warmed pool, perfect for swimming laps in. He followed another mutant into a large sauna, which he stayed in for some time. While he didn't quite feel the heat like the other mutant, he enjoyed breathing in the hot, wet air. Afterwards he went into the changing/locker room and showered. His only dilemma when he finally moved to the pool was to 'jump' right in or go to the diving board. He tilted his head from side to side a few times before he stood at the pools edge and dove in. Though his head was much larger than a humans, he didn't make too much of a splash.
Aurion made sure he stayed to the far side of the pool to keep away from anyone else swimming. Even with him swimming lazily, if someone accidentally bumped into him they could get a nasty cut from his claws or his tail as his propelled him through the water. Though that didn't seem to be much of an issue, there didn't seem to be many people in the water, and those that were were either more adept than he was, or gave him space because he was large and moved through the water faster than most of them could run.
One mutant in particular, who Aurion watched swim, looked like a cross between a shark, a man, and some strange glowing thing, and he could swim circles around Aurion, and actually did just that at one point. After a few minutes of that Aurion actually gave chase just to see if he could catch him. The two of them swam over every foot of that pool, to its depths and back. Aurion had even resorted to launching himself off the walls and floor in an attempt to catch the mutant. That had the shark mutant kicking it into high gear, moved faster and more deftly than he had been before. The two of them ended up churning up the pool like rough rapids, creating small white capped waves.
They had ended up floating along the water after that laughing and completely out of breath. It had been a long time since he had had so much good natured and free spirited fun like that. When the mutant, Jullian, finally had to go Aurion was a little sad, but hoped he would see the guy again. He couldn't guess at his age, his shark-like features obscuring many normal signs of age, but Aurion was sure that Jullian had more than physical ability assisting him while in the water.
So he lay there in the pool, on his back looking up watching the ceiling as he slowly moved himself through the water with the barest movements of his tail, thinking and imagining, lost in his own little world, surrounded by water.
