The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hello all! This is a thread that is meant for a very special purpose. To see who would be interested in partaking in a forum based Dungeons and Dragons session.
I want to host this, because my usual D&D group IRL is gone... and will be for some time. Leaving me for the entire summer with no way to vent D&D creative juices except for here.
Those who have played the game befor are probably better off than beginners, considering how confusing it is to explain it with a book in front of you, it would be even more difficult to explain online.
Right now, all I want to know, is who would be intersted in participating. I know it may seem rather difficult, but I assure you that I am a highely experience nerd dungeon master, and will be able to supply everyone with basic online information if you don't have books, and can also work an effective system of play.
I would really appreciate all D&D players to post here and let me know if you are willing to join.
Please let me know either through this thread or through PM if you have any questions comments or concerns.
I have some where the 3.5 rulebook and dungeon master's guide and the 3 monster manuel, and have successfully run a few low level, quite simple games with my brothers. So I'll be fine at the lower levels, it's as thigns advance that I may have to mug up on stuff.
(This is Hunter by the way, I just cant be bothered to switch accounts)
Also, I would like to stress the importance of Clerics and Rogues. Clerics are a must, because they are truely the only sorce of healing your gunna get for many levels, and you should try to keep them alive at all costs.
Rogues are also a must, and are required to bypass traps, and pretty much bail you out of any bad situations with their vast amounts of skill points.
These two people will be essencial, but you also need combat oriented people to keep them alive. Make sure these roles are filled when you make a character.
I have a few house rules that everyone should know too.
I can either roll your stats, or you can use the eighty point system, where you distrubute the eighty points between the six abilities. No abilities are allowed below 8, or above 18. Also, at first level, each character starts out with three feats instead of one. If your human, this means you start out with 4.
Also, for your first three HP rolls, we assume you get max. This is to make it fair for Rogues and Wizards and the like so they don't end up with 7 health at fourth level... Never a good thing.
So if you were a Cleric, you would assume that your HP equaled 8+ your con mod, because Cleric use D8's. A barbairins HP at first level would equal 12+ his con moddifier at first level. And so on and so forth.
I've played a few games, but like huntershield I haven't played seriously. I'd like to join in, a chance to recreate my old character from when I used to play (a half-orc ranger, I like the unusual ). But wouldn't mind making a half-orc cleric, that would be interesting as he could probably take care of himself quite well and let the others get on with completing the quest.
Well, right Hunters' is the only character sent to me, and he's a fighter. You can still be a ranger, but the next two poeple will have to be either a rogue or a cleric.

If you need Adobe Reader go here Adobe and download it.
If you don't want to download from me do this: Bitcomet Download and install it. isohunt Search for Dungeons and Dragons, DandD, DnD, etc. find the one with the most seeders and a decent amount of leechers, has the core books in .pdf form, and any other books you want.
Click the Download Torrent part. It should come up with a box asking: Open with ____ or Save As. make sure it's set to Open with ____ and select bitcomet if it is not already set. Once you say ok, it'll open bitcomet, select where you want it to download on your computer, make sure it's set to start now, and click yes/go/whatever, and let download.
EDIT: For those of you who don't have AIM: www.aim.com/get_aim/win/other_win.adp Theres a new version but I don't know how that one works and I use Trillian, and I don't know how compatable it and the new version is, so I gave you the link to an older version which I know works very well.
