The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The barrier dropped and Kaz seemed to ease off Alexander some. Syn nodded to Kaz. "Yes, that's one of the things I can do. It comes in handy quite often too." She smiled at him briefly before turning her attention back to Alexander. "Perhaps if you provide us some details about this mutant there might be a chance someone may have encountered him." The expression on her face showed her curiousity. She was suprised Mr. King hadn't said anything with all that has happened. Perhaps he's testing us she thought. Syn looked to Isabel who seemed to be in agreement with what Syn had just suggested to Alexander.
Isabel took a slow breath as the second barrier shattered and disappeared, feeling her head clear as the small concentration of pheromones dispersed. The young mutant could feel the calming effects slowly wearing off as her irritation at Kaz returned. "Kaz, leave the guy alone. I'm sure you wouldn't want to spill your guts in front of a bunch of people you didn't know, so why should it be any different for Mr. Gainsborough?" she said, trying to keep her voice even despite her frustration. "Besides, if you haven't noticed he has been listening to Mr. King, at least to a certain extent. But apparently you were too busy flexing your muscles to pay attention to anything but yourself."
With an exasperated sigh, Isabel turned her attention back to Syn, agreeing with her suggestion. Isabel was also curious about Alexander and the mutant he was pursuing.

He felt annoyance with Isabel. Pulling Alex up to his feet and letting him go with a small shove. He looked at the girl and calmed himself. "Flexing my muscle? Did you pay attention? All I did was step behind him, and he put that barrier wall around me. Do YOU want to be surrounded by some guy who just showed up. I didn't make any threatening moves towards him. He made the aggressive move. Or do you see only what you want to see?" He stepped past her to lean against the wall behind Syn.

Looking at the two girls, Alex calmly smiled at them. The way how they spoke reminded him of a happiness that he thought e'd lost long ago. Not making any attempt to get Kaz's grip off of him, Alex sighed and spoke. "Well like I said earlier, G has short brown hair, looks as young as me, and is usualy seen wearing leather clothing. His powers however, are more complex to explain. All I can honestly say is that he has powers that could classify him as a god; limitless and can do nearly anything. One thing I can say is that he has a large black wing that he can retract and srpot out from the back of his left shoulder. Also, his eyes constantly have a feint glow to them. That's the best I can describe him."
The young girl listend to Alexander give his best description of the mutant that he is searching for. Meanwhile she followed Kaz with her eyes as she walekd around behind her. When Syn heard that this man could do just about anything and was practically a god she gave a look of awe. Then her devilish side kicked in. If she fight this mutant and make him use his powers on her she could negate them and possibly beat him at his own game. "Well, I for one have not seen or heard of such a mutant, but he does sound interesting."

"HE'S A MONSTER AND NOTHING MORE!!!!" Alex suddenly yelled out of anger. As his anger suddenly appeared, his body began to radiate with a deep Crimson aura this time. "He cares of nothing of anyone or anything. A vile beast who only finds pleasure in utter chaos and destruction and the deaths of people by his own hands." Alex then began to clench his fis very tightly. "And by any means neccessary.....I'll kill him!"
"Wow! Someone's got a temper." Syn replied back to Alexander. "I'm sure many of us could be called monsters depending on who you ask." With a glance to Isabel she continued. " You should've seen us outside this place about an hour ago." She then looks to Dorian for his response before turning back to the furious Alexander.
"Well, Kaz from as far as I could see, the barrier was being used defensively. If some guy I didn't know suddenly showed up behind me I think I'd feel at least a little threatened. Your acting almost as impulsively as Jonas, or 'The Reptile' as you've taken to calling him."
Isabel then turned her attention to Alexander and Syn as they talked, finding the newcomer's description of the mutant he was looking for rather vague, but interesting none the less. She almost jumped at his sudden outburst, but instead a small grin spread across her features. "Well, Alexander, I'd say that I hope you find this mutant that you're looking for, but after hearing your description of his abilities, I'm not sure I'd wish that upon anyone."

"Defencively huh. I think the defencive action was first taken by Mr. King when he had the doors locked. That clued me in there could be trouble. That doesn't seem impulsive, I think that's called taking in your surroundings and paying attention." Holding out his hand, he spred his fingers out and proceded to crack all of his knuckles. "Perhaps you weren't paying attention and only see what you want, as I've said before. When you come into a place and start asking questions of someone, I would think you would answer any questions from them without being vauge. Unless you don't care to get answers." Taking a deep breath. "Even if he felt threatened, there was no need for the second barrier, especially one that encompassed yourself, Syn, Mr. King and his receptionist and our former Xman. If he was still threatened, he could have encased himself in that prysm, or try it on me again. Who knows what that green aura does, or what else he can do. For all you know Isabel, after encasing you all, he could have melted your bodies, or wiped your minds, or any number of other things, yet you stood there and continue to stand there as if you've known him for years and trust him with your life." Moving up behind her and to the side.
"That just seems foolish, and stupid. Never trust anyone right away, easiest way to get yourself killed. Do you believe I trust either of you fully?" He from her to Syn and back again. "My guard is always up. That is the only reason I can understand Mr.King's secrecy. But I also see the other side, almost nothing can be accomplished alone," He looked to Dorian, "so a little bit of trust must be given so more can be earned." He sat down on the receptionist's desk crossing his legs, ankle on knee. "If I had not given Alex a small bit of trust to begin with, as soon as I concidered him a threat, I would have ripped his head off or crushed his neck. He failed my trust and used his abilities against me, and then again to someone I would hope to come to truely trust." He looked directly in Syn's eyes.
Speaking to Alex, "If he's just a monster hell-bent on destruction and death, it shouldn't be that hard to find him. And you would have no reason to be here would you? I think whatever passed between you is purely personal and you're just out for revenge. And probably stop at nothing to achieve your goal of killing him. But if what you say is true, that he's basicly a god, then you have no hope or chance in killing him. In which case you should just forget about it and go home. Otherwise shoot yourself in the head, 'cuz the result would be the same if you did find and attacked him."
Isabel crossed her arms irritably as her eyes followed Kaz to his position on the receptionist's desk. "Maybe I am a fool, in fact I know I'm foolish about some things. I tend to put more trust in mutants than in humans, but I can't really help it. My hatred for the non-mutants runs too deeply and more often than not I find it much easier to give my trust to someone I can relate to in some way or another. I may not be placing my full trust int hem, but I am trusting none the less. Take Mr. King for example'" she paused, casting a short gaze at the man she had named before turning back to Kaz and continuing, "I trust him to the extent that he knows how to properly run this Sanctuary and to take the necessary precautions that are needed in maintaining it and keeping it safe. Therefore I felt no need to step in when Alexander entered the conversation. And speaking of Alexander, I trust him to the extent that he wouldn't do something overly foolish within such a large group of mutants that are more than able and willing to fight back."
Isabel stopped there, beginning to feel a bit guilty about having an argument that included people who were standing only a few feet away but excluding their input. "I suppose the easiest way to put this argument to rest is to agree to disagree."
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
"The easiest way to end this argument is to end it here...Mr Gainsborough, as of yet, no Gods have signed up for my little project, so unfortunately I can't help you." Dorian said kurtly, "However, your display of your powers today is quite impressive, and I'd be pleased if you were to accept my invitiation into the Sanctuary."
(ooc: sorry about not being here, work's been on my back...)
Syn listened to Kaz and even looked back at him when he gestured that he wanted to be able to trust her someday. She smiled inwardly to herself but didn't reply back. Then Isabel began with her point of view. Both of them did have their points but at the same time it wasn't getting anyone anywhere fast. That is until Mr. King spoke up and got everyone's attention. He especially seemed to have grabbed Kaz's attention by the throat when Dorian asked Alexander to join them.
Syn looked around at everyone's face including the bloody man who had stayed quiet throughout the whole thing. "Well, we're just growing by leaps and bounds aren't we?" she said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. The young girl then turned back to Dorian. "You never replied to my statement earlier. Do you want our help with your plans or not? Because I dunno about the others but I personally would get bored with just hanging out around here until who knows when." Her green eyes peered into Dorians as if looking into his soul for answers.
"My dear," Dorian began, staring straight back into the girls eyes with equal intensity "the whole purpose of my Sanctuary is so that we can rise up against those who persecute us mutants." Dorian broke his gaze and looked around at every mutant in the room. "Every single mutant in here will be part of my plans, don't you worry about that," Dorian grew more expressive with his hand as he spoke, "and we shall crush anyone who stands in the way of overcoming our plight." A pause, "Don't you see? We have a whole army of mutants under this one roof, and all I'm waiting for is the final piece of the puzzle before we exact our revenge. And as it stands, it would appear that the time for retribution is near at hand."
Dorian looked around once more and noticed the fast mutant avoiding his eyesight. Dorian attempted to silently communicate with him.
"I know offering Mr Gainsborough here a place in our facility would appear to be a tad impulsive, but trust me, I have my reasons; which I will share after a few things about him have been confirmed."
Dorian turned back to the girl who asked him the question in the first place.
"Ah, Mr. King you are a man after my own heart." Isabel said, her voice light with a tone of amusement to show she was just joking around. "What a clever idea, disguising the Sanctuary in the fashion you have. The fools won't even know it's coming. Finally, a chance to get back at humanity for the wrongs they have done us and to earn the respect we deserve." The young mutant paused, trying to calm her initial excitement, although there was now a devilish grin firmly plastered across her face.

Kaz's eyes looked around for a moment before locking on Dorian. He heard the voice in his mind. Mentally his eyebrows raised in surprise, though he kept his face blank. Turning his eyes away, he had no idea if he could say anything back, or if it was just a message. Wouldn't hurt to try. <Impulsive seems like an understatement. I don't like his attadute, I don't like the way he seems to think he's any better than me, or anyone else. If there's ANY reason I should trust him the slightest bit, I'd like to know now. My fangs are itching to taste blood.>
"I've had my own bit of retribution against human's who've stood against me or in my way. None of them draw breath now. If it's a war you're planning on waging, then you don't even have to ask. I'm always up for a bit of fun." His voice became low, with a smirk playing on his face. "The Dragon's been caged for too long."
