The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Gorgon is lurking about in the park across the street from the museaum, trying to both not be noticed, and stone any humans. It's very trying for her. She's keeping an eye out for the arrival of Tricity.
*Tricity had parked a few blocks away, walking the couple blocks until she stood in front of the museum. She looked around for Gorgon, but there was no sign of her.* "Great..."
Gorgon crosses the street, when she sees Tricity, almost causeing a pileup among taxies, elicing a chorus of honking. She hisses, but refrains from stoning the cars for Tricity's sake.
*Tricity's head snaps around as the screeching of tires caught her attention and low and behold, the little Gorgon, shrouded no doubt, crosses the street as if she is invincible to being hit by two tons of metal.* "Way to be indiscreet..."
*Tricity leaned against one of the large statues they had outside, close to a newly installed fountain.* "Remember, a long time ago, when we spoke about there being both a green and red stone? Do you recall what they were for?"
"General Whitmore is placing shards of the green stone into the mutants he's been capturing, subconsciously giving them missions and releasing them back into society. This missions can't begin unless the green stone is activated by the red stone...which Whitmore doesn't have yet. There's no telling which mutant has a piece of the green stone in them because they don't remember a thing after being released. If Whitmore finds the red stone, he will be able to activate the green stone's power, making the mutants do whatever he wants. These stones somehow affect mutants and their mutations. You being an expert of stones, I figure you would have most likely known this." *Tricity took a deep breath and looked at Gorgon in the eyes.* "You told me once you knew where the red stone was, but never told me its location. Do you remember anything?"
Eliza got out of the cab she had taken to the museum. She glanced over to the steps, and sighed. " Damnit. " she said to herself, noticing Tricity. " Well, this should be interesting. Wonder how she will react. " Eliza thought to herself as she approached the steps that led into the museum.
