The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Yeah, no more wheelchair?" Gina echoed Svetlana's words, practically leaping to her feet in excitement. Gina's mind raced with things that they could do if he could actually walk, things other than eating sandwiches in the kitchen. (Or, for Fausto, just eating anything.) She was a little to caught up in the excitement to pay too much attention to what Svetlana was saying about something happening at the mall, and didn't begin to register it until after Svetlana had mentioned it.
Things slowly came together-- if the power-booster had touched Fausto, and his ailment had something to do with his power, touching him would only make the condition worse. Hence all the bandages. But, Svetlana seemed nice, nice enough to not intentionally break numerous bones in Fausto's body. Gina winced at the though, how terrifying it must have been for the two of them.
"Us?" Gina grinned, "Well, we're buddies-- saw him moping and practically freezing himself to death outside, one day, and I made him come inside, and we ate some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was the start of a beautiful friendship." Though she'd previously asked Svetlana a similar question, Gina didn't catch that connotation in the discussion now. She didn't pick onto the fact that she might also be asking if Gina was an item with Fausto.
Though she wasn't aware of Fausto's musing over what Gina's would look like with her powers enhanced, she was also letting her mind wander down the same path. Part of her didn't think it would do anything, but another part of her could only imagine how awesome she'd look. Awesome, and terrifying.

The boy nodded as his "friends" speak, corroborating the information given by Gina with his head. With a cheerful movement, but trying not to shake his head avoiding pain. Without thinking about the broken bones, he felt very grateful to his two new friends, because they had helped him to cease to regret not being able to walk, and especially he had not felt alone in these moments. He was accompanied throughout the process. To reward them something of what they did for him, he could invite them to Cielle´s house for a luxurious tea time... Would they like to drink tea and eat sweets? Returning back to the conversation, a slightly embarrassed Fausto answered Sveta, even with his memories trapped in a fog of thoughts, feelings and more memories. "Is okay. Actually I was not thinking... " He smiled foolishly and stopped talking for a moment, that was not usual on him. Then he continue with his thoughts aloud. "Apparently no one was thinking that day, because Takumi neither reacted normally. I've never saw him like that... "
It seemed that the two women exchanged secret information, with code words and gestures that Fausto could not decipher. There was something he was missing in that conversation, maybe it was something insignificant... He could not tell. "Healthy Bones, no wheelchair." His smile grows larger, he knew better than anyone all it meant that his bones would heal. He would be able to run again, jump, dance. Any of the things he could not do before.
The infirmary door opened again, this time much softer than when Sveta came in and in a more formal way. He could appreciate the seriousness of the person who opened the door. Who was standing there was the doctor. He ignored the girls, something very inappropriate in him, and turned his gaze toward Fausto. There were bags under his eyes. Apparently he had not rested much. As the boy watched his appearance and wondered what kept him without sleep, DocProf showed some papers and shook them with joy in from of him. There were many numbers mixed with letters... "Fausto... the calcium in your bones is coming back." He did a dramatical pause. "And..." Another short pause that seemed to last an eternity. Fausto watched him from his bed with excitement, his eyes wide open, he did not want to miss any of what he was going to say. "...the calcium you missed is in your teeth. Now they should be stronger than any normal tooth... " Even with the mask of exhaustion on his face, the doctor smiled. This mixture of relief and exhaustion did not last long, as he notice the two guests. "Sorry..." He apologized awkwardly, as if he could not believe his eyes. He refused to believe that he had not see them but he waved his hand the girls. Fausto smiled, a really big smile. He was just speechless.
>>"Us? Well, we're buddies-- saw him moping and practically freezing himself to death outside, one day, and I made him come inside, and we ate some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was the start of a beautiful friendship."
Sveta was sure it was. Sounded nice too. It was good to hear that Fausto did have friends in the Mansion, friends who cared enough to cheer him up and feed him sandwiches when he was moping around. Gina seemed like a nice girl. Gargoyle. Whatever.
>>"Is okay. Actually I was not thinking... Apparently no one was thinking that day, because Takumi neither reacted normally. I've never saw him like that... "
"Yes, it was nobody's fault." Sveta agreed, and smiled a bit; it was best to leave it at that. Whatever happened at the mall, it was some mutation-induced moment of weirdness, and whatever had been said and done, it did not matter anymore. There were no real feelings and thoughts involved. She was just glad that Fausto seemed to be thinking the same.
Doc Prof reutrned; Sveta smiled at him. He didn't notice.
>>"Healthy Bones, no wheelchair. Fausto... the calcium in your bones is coming back. And ...the calcium you missed is in your teeth. Now they should be stronger than any normal tooth... "
"Wow" Sveta blinked, shaking her head in disbelief "His teeth are stronger now? Like, a new power?" it sounded like something that would go really well with his original abilities. Also, it was good news: he was not only getting healthy again, he was also getting stronger. "Dat's amazing..."

"Healthy bones, no wheelchair," Fausto confirmed, beaming like a young boy. That meant that, once he got those God-awful casts off, he'd be able to walk again. He wouldn't have to sit around and mope all the time.
"Awesome!" Gina sighed, echoing Svetlana's sentiment. Just as she was about to continue onward with their conversation, the DocProf shuffled on in, quite obviously exhausted, beelining for Fausto and ignoring the two girls. He held a paper in his grasp.
Words came awkwardly out of his mouth as he explained ot Fausto the nature of his current condition. "Fausto... the calcium in your bones is coming back. And... the calcium you missed in your teeth. Now, they should be stronger than any normal tooth."
"Hot damn," Gina commented below her breath, quietly enough that no one else should have heard that sentiment. The doctor looked up, just then, and Gina balked, momentarily convinced that he'd overheard her.
"Sorry," the doctor apologized, now that he'd finally noticed the two guests, and that he'd ignored them when he'd first entered. Gina smiled as the DocProf waved awkwardly, obviously quite zombilike in his groggy state.
"It's okay, doctor," Gina smiled, "You look like you could use some more sleep- we'll keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't get into any shenanigans while you're gone." She winked at him and smirked. In Fausto's state, God-knew-what kind of shenanigans he could really get into.

"I will do it, thanks." He said goodbye to everyone with a slow movement of his hand, he turned around while the muscles of his face forced him to do a long, long yawn as he left the room. He dragged his feet slowly, producing a faint sound that was not enough to hide his sonorous yawns. Now that he healed Fausto and gave the results of his research, he was ready to surrender to the pleasure of resting his body and his mind.
The boy stared as Doc left without saying a word, the singer was still trying to understand the general meaning of what he had said. His illness was not such thing, but a painful process toward a new skill. What reconfirmed his idea of being an evolved being and not a mistake. He opened his mouth slightly to say something irrelevant, then closed it again. He thought his word for a couple of seconds. He had nothing to add.
Fausto step the tip of his tongue over his teeth slowly, feeling every form, trying to find the extra strength Doc was talking about but he did not find any evidence of that. And although he still was not quite recovery from that surprise, he added cheerfully. "So... When is the "you are healthy again"party?"
>>"It's okay, doctor. You look like you could use some more sleep- we'll keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't get into any shenanigans while you're gone."
Sveta nodded with a small smile. "And we make sure he don't leave the bed." That was aso very important. Knowing Fausto, his new power would make him feel invincible; that was a dangerous state of mind for someone who just broke all the bones in his body. No wonder Doc needed sleep after putting him back together. Wasn't there a nursery rhyme about that?...
>>"So... When is the "you are healthy again"party?"
"When you are healthy again" Sveta grinned "I hope it will be soon. What do you want for your party? Cake?"
Made of what? Now that he could bite through all kinds of stuff...

"And we make sure he don't leave the bed," Sveta added on. It was what Gina had implied, but the reassurance helped to encourage the doctor to get more sleep, and seemed to be enough reassurance to lead him out of the room.
The doctor dismissed himself with a wave and a soft-spoken sentiment of gratitude, and Gina watched with amusement as he left, quite obviously sleepy. Fausto seemed to visibly relax, as both he and Gina followed the doctor with their eyes, watching as he quietly slipped out of the infirmary. Silence lingered for a moment, before Fausto joyfully inquired, "So... When is the 'you are healthy again' party?"
"When you are healthy again." Svetlana clarified.
"When you aren't practically a mummy," Gina had added on, smirking. Though the idea of Fausto wabbling around in his casts to the Monster Mash was a sadistically humorous notion, such actions were probably not the wiser.
"I hope it will be soon," Svetlana grinned, "What do you want for your party? Cake?"
Gina had never been much of a cook, but she smiled in delight at the notion of a cake. With a sigh of agreement, she murmured, "Mmmmmm, cake."
"And sherbert," she added on, with a snap of her fingers. She'd always been a sucker for sherbert, "And games, and music--" Gina paused. She was getting ahead of herself, imagining Fausto's own 'Good Health' party. She was getting all worked-up about a party that could potentially be less grandiose than her imagined party. The excitement that limned her body faded with that realization into a more contained posture. Following the pause, she finally thought to inquire, "What sort of party, Fausto?"
