The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kilala watched as the new kid ran down to help the woman and other young man. They seemed to be alright and they came upstairs to see the observation deck, but then went back down for more sparring. Kilala pulled up one of the leather chairs and watched through the thick glass to see what was going to happen.
A moment later, the other young man who had been sparring came upstairs and introduced himself. "Hi, Karzelek. My name is Kilala. A pleasure to meet you." She nodded to the other comfy, leather chair near by for him to grab a seat. "Care to join me? No popcorn unfortunately."
Watching Kesuk take a martial arts stance, she smiled.
He's been trained... Let's see how far.
Taking her own stance, it was a relaxed stance with a rigid posture and raised arms for combat. Seeing him, she realized she was going to have to take the offensive, so she made a quick run and feint. Running to him, she pretended to punch him but instead kneed his side in typical kickboxing fashion. She did it slightly slower than usual to gauge her opponent's know how, in order to see just how far she could take this new fight.
Kesuk seen her charging and was going to evade but didnt for some reason. The feinted a punch but kneed him in the side. He barely was affected and quickly grabbed the arm she feint punched him with and used her own momentum against her and pulled her toward his foot and tripped her, with an elbow to the back as she stumbled
Seeing his game, she used the momentum he thought he had and somersaulted behind him. Wincing as he elbowed her in the back, she quickly roundhoused him. Stepping away from him, she readied herself in combat position.
"You're not the only one with training." she said, and smiled.

Kaz walked in through the observation deck, noticing two people sitting there, and two people in the danger room. "You could have the room create a bowl. Don't know if it would be edable, or taste good if it was, but you could still have some popcorn." He smiled and walked to the glass and looked down at the two people, a fairly tall guy, possibly taller than Kaz was, and a girl, about Kaz's height. <She's got a slammin body.> He watched the first round of their sparring match and smirked. "They're both overconfident, you can tell by their movements and stnaces. It'll make for a good show when they screw up. Which, they've each done once already." Turning to the two people sitting down, he held out his hands, "Name's Kaz."
"You're not the only one with training." she said, and smiled. Kesuk thought it might have been easy but this proved him wrong. So he evoked his mutation, hoping it would help him more than hurt him. A downpour started to fall, and not a normal rainfall one where you could barely see. Then he ran to where she was a tried a flip kick.

Kaz smiled at Karzelek. "Thats exactly how. They're overconfident that they can take and deal with anything their opponant could do to them, even if they're trying to test them out." Turning back to the window, "The smart thing someone would do is be cautious. The feight was a good idea, but her follow through was poor. Gave him an opening, which he poorly exploited. What he should have done, or some variant of it, lift his leg, stopping her knee. Throwing her off balance, then encircling her arm with his, throwing it out wide. Once his arm completed the circle, step forward with his raised leg, giving momentum to his next move. Either punching her, or if he wanted to test her, shove her chest above her breast using his palm. That would put her out of range without giving too much away about himself, though he could gague how good she was, if she recovered." Turning around, he leaned agianst the control pannel, "Instead, he screws up, lets her get behind him, and then resorts to that," Pointing down at the two with his thumb, "Using his power."
Thinking about what Karz had said at first. "In chess, pawns are not just cannon fodder, they can make or break your game. Be your saving grace, and sometimes your most powerful pieces. So throwing a pawn to be sacrificed, is sort of like strapping yourself into the electric chair, one strap at a time, until you're so strapped down, you can't stop the excecutioner from pulling the switch."

Kaz listened to Karz. "True, you didn't." Looking over his shoulder at the two people below, "I wasn't here when they started, but to me, it looks like a spar, a test of martial skill, not a test of powers." Chuckling, "I know this is a bad anology, but it's like bringing a gun to a chess tournament. It's just not right."

Kaz shook Karz's hand. "You're right, I didn't. But don't take that the wrong way," Kaz smiled at him, "I am too." Kaz quirked an eyebrow about the holos. "They'll be fine I'm sure. If either of them gets out of hand. I'll take care of it. Though what CAN she do? Unless she's some sort of telepath, I don't see how she could get him to punch himself. Not that it wouldn't be funny to see." Kaz couldn't help but smirk at the thought. His tone and his eyes told that he wasn't being over confident, but KNEW he could handle both of them.
Fiona had barely time to react when all of a sudden it began to rain. At first she wasn't daunted, however as the rain increased to that of a thick watery curtain over her eyes, she took Kesuk's kick hard. His foot connected with her shoulder and sent her reeling to the ground. She had to blink a few moments to stop the swirling rain in her eyes, and remembering what was going on she rolled away about three feet. Scrambling to get to her feet, she realized her offensive shoulder was out of sorts.
"Damn." she said, and tried to move her shoulder while keeping an eye on Kesuk.
Looking around, she quickly assessed that Kesuk's power was to control the weather. Her eyes widening, she realized he might be able to make it hail, thunder, add lightning... And if that happened, she was in severe trouble depending on how much he could do. Looking around for cover for a few moments, she remained in defensive position, not being able to do much as far as the offensive went. Finally realizing what she might have to do, she began to concentrate on getting him to stop the rain, through the only method that she could.
Walking defensively closer to him, she began her siren song. "Kesuk, you are so powerful... But this rain is horrible. Why do you make the rain so thick?" she asked in her sweetest voice, infusing the most power that she could.
Walking in a circle around him, she kept her guard as she continued to feed him what he needed to hear.
"I can barely do anything in this rain, and it's making me so cold..." she said with a playful tone, as though flirting with him. "I wonder how you do it. Can you make it stop too?" she asked him, trying to sound as innocent as possible while keeping her guard up.
Thinking to herself, she worked out her battle plan. Even though it would be mighty hard for him to resist her, he might not stop the rain fully. She needed him to fall for her so that she might have the upper hand and get him not to be as alert. Being injured and with an atmosphere manipulator was not a good mix at all.
Kesuk felt the blow land, and he knew hit hurt becuase it kind of hurt his foot. Between the kick and his weather control Kesuk thought he had this fight in the bag. She tried to move her shoulder but couldnt. this made Kesuk smile. Then she took on a defensive stance, but not for long. She began to talk, and this made Kesuk feel a feeling like no other and he stopped from being in his Tai Chi stance and started to walk to her in a hypotized way. What was happening?
"Kesuk, you are so powerful... But this rain is horrible. Why do you make the rain so thick?" She began to say and right then as if he had no self will he reduced the rain to a slight drizzle. "Is that alright for you my sweet?" Kesuk asked while giving an innocent smile.
"I can barely do anything in this rain, and it's making me so cold..." she said once again but in a more flirty manner. Just then Kesuk stopped the rain completley and returned it to its normal condition of crystal clear skies. " I hope this is adequate for you, love." he said while trying to get close to her. "Anything else you want me to do?" Kesuk asked like a child
Fiona stared him right in the face, bringing a hand to his chin. "No, that's just fine." Stepping away, she soon thought back to where things were going.
"Now, let's do something fun, huh? Let's spar."
Staring him in the face, she darted to the right and swung her left leg out with all the momentum she had to knock him to his knees. Spinning rapidly, she made sure to kick her right leg up this time and have her heel connect with his chest. Not a split second after she put a distance of about four feet away from him and herself, and waited for his next move. She knew the rage would set in now that she had attacked him, but she hoped she could still keep things under control as far as the weather went.
Getting back into defensive stance, she winced as her shoulder hurt hard. Doubling over for about two seconds, she bent back to try and recover as fast as she could, but she knew her shoulder was going to be a hindrance.
'Way to go for trying to keep things fair, now you're going to have to deal with a maniac.' she thought.
Kesuk was about to give this girl anything she wanted, but she only wanted to spar. He had thought he loved her but it was only her mutation doing her 'work'. Suddenly Keuk fell to his knees and began gasping for air, but right after there was another blow to his chest and he fell to the floor barely being able to breath. He breathed heavy and hard like a dying cow. He then looked up at his 'sweety' and realized he had been tricked. He instantaneously filled with rage and the sole desire to dispose of her.
He picked himself up and began to hover off the floor with his icy blue eyes staring down the little wench and all of her deceites. Then he made it rain twice as hard as before throwing in some hail to her general area, bombarding her with golf ball sized hail. Then he had seen her wince with pain in her shoulder, and Kesuk came to his senses and immediatly stopped the onsloaght of hail. He returned back to the ground and his eyes turned to their regular deep blue. He put his hands behind his head trying to catch his breath. "Im sorry i dont know what came over me" he said while panting
Suna gave a nod to the new mutant who came in the room, introducing himself as Kaz. 'Boy, some ego he's got,' she thought, tuning him out and watching the sparring below. It had suddenly turned for the worse as it seemed Kesuk was seriously attempting to hurt Fiona. Knowing the controls of the Danger Room, she quickly released the door to let herself inside. Tricity had made sure to make that door lock in case mutations were going out of control inside.
She rushed over and pulled open the door, jogging down a few of the steps. Her hands raised up and formed an enclosure around the rain and hail that was falling on Fiona. At that same moment it seemed Kesuk was coming back to his senses. Suna wasn't taking any chances though and she pulled one of the bows from the wall out, standing by Fiona. "Take it easy. This is only practice. You two all right??"

Kaz nodded at Karz's words. He watched the two below, notting what began happening to the boy. <He wasn't joking.> The girl kicked, putting the guy down. <Rain and hail?!> It was worse than before. The girl in the observation room left, and Kaz followed her. Kaz stepped onto the edge of the stairs and propelled himself with explosive speed down to the ground. Sliding just slightly on the wet mud, stopped just behind the guy who created the storm. Kaz was in a crouch with his right arm up. In his right hand was an uncapped pen, the point pressing against the soft skin under the guys chin. "Control, always control. Loose it, you could kill yourself or someone else." Looking to the physicly gifted girl, "You alright?"
