The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>“Thank you, Gawain,. I…I appreciate it. Um…could I, you know, borrow some soap and shampoo?”
"Ya're welcome." Gawain smiled. The girl looked genuinely surprised that she was accepted so easily, and that she had a room, and at everything in general. He remembered still how that felt.
"Sure, I'll get you some" he nodded at her request "And if you need clothes, o anythin' else, let me know, we'll get you some."
With that, he left her alone, and went to hunt down soap and shampoo; he returned a few minutes later, mirrorwalking made the search a lot easier, and knocked on her door.
"There you go" he smiled, handing her the items "You can find towels in there too."
>> "Sure, I'll get you some…And if you need clothes, o anythin' else, let me know, we'll get you some."
Agnes watched as the Gawain disappeared. Once he was around the corner, Agnes turned and simply stared at the room she now stood in. Slowly she closed the door behind her and just tried to take in the entire scene. She had not stayed in a clean, fresh room in months. So much did she admire the room that she was almost too afraid to do anything but stare at it for what seemed like an eon before she finally found the will to move her feet. Carefully she began to pace the room, eyed the small bed, the closet and another door which more than likely led into the bathroom. But still she almost refused to move, as if all this were some mirage that would disappear the second she attempted to interact with it.
But still, the young runaway could appreciate the room even by just observing it. It was quaint and homely, something that made the resident not want to leave. She had to admit that so far that Gawain boy was right when he said that she would be crazy to want to leave this. It’s only been a few minutes and already she was beginning to appreciate it. Still…she needed to stay on her guard. Luck can switch drastically, she was all too certain of that.
In her spot still near the door, she jumped when a sudden knocking echoed in her ears. She spun and for a second wondered who it could be when she remember that she had sent Gawain out on a mission. A silent grin to herself and Agnes proceeded to open the door.
He makes a good go-for…
>> "There you go…You can find towels in there too."
Very carefully she took the shampoo and soap from him. She had to admit that she probably did smell but not all of that was simply due to not washing while living in the street. The constant stream of bugs around her tended to bring a certain…funk about her person. She hated it and knew that no about of washing would ever fully make it go away, but it was the thought that counted, the simple act of doing something so foreign and so familiar at the same time.
“Thank you,” she whispered as she took the bottles in hand and looked them over. They were generic and momentarily reminded her of her own home. A small tear rolled down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. “I have some clothes for now and…thanks for the towels. I’ll…talk to you later…maybe” she said with the briefest of smiles and gently closed the door in his face.
Once that was done, Agnes very gently removed her bag from her shoulder and set it down on a nearby table. As she unzipped it, she fished around for clothes and found that most of them were soiled and dirty. She could at least hand was them with some of the soap that Gawain provided. She trembled at the idea of clean clothes. Then she glanced down to what she was wearing that realized that these were the cleanest clothes she own and would be her attire for the day. But as she pulled out clothes to wash in the sink, she noticed her cloak…the hooded, patchwork creation of her own making that kept her warm on many a night. She raised it up, ran her fingers over the various materials it consisted of…then gently set it back into the bag. It may be needed again…she could not forget that possibility.
So with a sigh, Agnes grabbed her few clothes that she would wash and headed into the bathroom with soap and shampoo in hand.
