"not quite sure, popped up in a car crash" she told Nika and waited for the girl to finish speaking with Tricity. She thought the power rush sounded a little like her Frenzies but more controlled.

When they were gone Daria listened intently to what Tricity said and if the head mistress wanted a positve answer she really got one.

"Really!?" Daria exclaimed teleporting to the top of the celing light and sitting there happily. "OH I'D LOVE TO!!!!" she teleported back down and tried to contain herself to keep from waking the baby.

"I'd be honored! More than honored, I'm elated!" her ears were twitching comically and her tail as well. She had the urge t ojump into Mike's arms-because he was the only one who knew how much she wanted to do this-but the sobering image brought her back to reality.

"I'm still in the program to get my teaching degree, all that's been going on has been keeping me busy. But I'm keeping my two way on me at all times so I can just teleport back here in an emergency." she inserted.

Tricity laughed as Daria teleported to the ceiling. "Good Lord, woman! Well, I'm glad you said yes!!" she said in a slight squeal. "I seriously need the help, especially now. As a starter, I was hoping you would meet up with the new guests that come to the gates looking for a place to stay. I'm sure you know all the standard safety questions and such. Just get a radio from Johnathon asap. Think you can handle that?"

Daria giggled.

"I'm the tech specialist, I've got a two way in my room, and extras that I'm working on new technology for." she grinned.

"And as far as handling new students, SURE!" she thought for a minute. "I just hope they aren't allergic to cats." she giggled and calmed enough to gently kiss Tricity on the forehead.

"I'm gonna go shower, I'll check on you later, call me if you need me." She grinned and disappeared.

While Nika and Nicki walk to the infirmary Nika describes her power to Nicki."Well, I do have better reflexes, speed and I'm stronger than normal girls my age and build." Flexing her arms like a body builder she pauses and then laughs. "I do have another mutation though. I have super powered adrenaline. So like if I was really scared or mad or in a terrible situation and my adrenaline kicks in. I get fifty times stronger and faster." Looking at Nicki she made sure she explained it well enough without confusing Nicki again.

As they enter the infirmary the young cat girl looks to see if Tricity is busy. It didn't look like she was so Nika spoke up. "Umm, Miss Tipper. This is Nicki. She just got here and she wanted to meet you so I brought her here. She's seems very friendly." she smiled to Tricity. "Oh, um..could she be my roomie?"

Like the sterotypical blonde she was Nika jumped subjects again and turned back to Nicki. "Oh I forgot. What is it you can do?"

Nicki smiled, tucking some hair behind her ear before pulling on her lobe again, once again going back to her nervous tick.

"Um, hi there Miss. Tipper. It's nice to meet you. Congratulations on the baby. Um, I don't kno wif you remember me but I did enroll and stuff...Nicki Thomas?" Nicki lowered her voice. "I um..absorb knowledge?"

Nicki was so busy trying not to trip over her words she completely forgot to fully address Nika.

"So you can soak up people's thoughts or what?" Nika looked at Nicki a little puzzled. "Now you confused me instead of me confusing you." Nika giggled softly as she remembered trying to explain things a few moments ago.

Nicki tore her eyes away from Miss Tipper, looking over at Nika briefly, only to look back and forth continuously.

"Oh...um...kinda...I'm not too good at that part yet. Um...I can like...touch a book and pick up all the information on it. And um, I can kinda do that with computers and stuff but I'm not good with that one yet and it's a little dangerous and stuff and well..um...and I can pick up information from people but it really kinda depends...like I said, I'm not too good at it..."

Tricity saw Nika and a guest walking over to her as they entered the Infirmary. Nika gave the girl an introduction. "Hi, Nicki. Yes, I remember your file. Welcome to the mansion." She listened as Nicki explained her mutation and admired such a power. "That's an awesome mutation. I love reading myself. I have to ask you, though it seems like the answer would be no, is your mutation dangerous to anyone else or yourself?"

Nicki blushed at the compliment, especially from someone who was in control of the entire school: she must have seen the coolest things in the world and she still thought Nicki had a neat power.

"Is your power dangerous to anyone else or yourself?"

Nicki started shaking her head feveredly, then stopped for a moment to truly think about it. "Well, in all honesty, I have ODed once or twice before. I um, was using a computer and I tried to absorb all the information and I passed out for a couple of days but um, that really kinda only happens when I'm being stupid" Nicki smiled a little, biting her lip.

Nika listened to the conversation between Miss Tipper and Nicki. Her ears swivled towards whom ever one was talking. At Nicki's last statement Nika piped up. "Umm...Miss Tipper if it's ok Nicki could be my roommate. That way there would be someone around to make sure she doesn't over do it again." Nika looked to Nicki. "That is if you would like to be rommates."

Kaz walked into the infirmary and looked around. He heard a few people talking towards the back and went to investigate. As he walked closer, he could hear three female voices, two of them seemed younger than the third. As he rounded on the room where the voices were coming from, he saw two younger girls and a third laying in a bed with a child near. One of the girls had cat ears..and a tail. <Different.> The other had long brown hair and black glasses. He heard the catgirl say something about roomates to the other girl. "I hope I'm not interupting anything too serious. Tricity, I presume." He spoke to the woman in the bed, "Eldwyn told me to come speak to you and to give you these papers." He held them up for the woman to see.

Nicki looked over as the door opened, and her eyes almost immediately dropped to the floor as she caught a glimpse of the man in front of her. He was definitely a cutie...and that just made the young girl turn a lovely shade of red.

"So just tons of new students huh?" Nicki barely managed to get her voice to work as she kept her eyes down, bringing her index finger and thumb to her ear and pulling on the lobe

"Apparently," she replied, taking the papers from the new guest. She turned to Nika and nodded. "Yes, of course you can be roommates. I have no problems with that," she told the girls. Tricity read the papers and then looked over to the young man. "So, Kaz, you are looking to stay here at the mansion? Your mutation is interesting..."

When the girl in the glasses made a comment about a lot of new students, Kaz just shruged a bit. He did notice how the girl was blushing, only moments after he entered the room. Currious, though he didn't say anything about it. He was sure Tricity's acceptance of the girls being roommates would make the two happy, especially the cat girl. "....Your mutation is interesting..." The way she left off her sentence almost made Kaz feel uneasy, but he crushed it. <Maybe she's just worried I can't control myself...> "You think so?" Deciding to answer her question, "Honestly, I don't know exactly. I heard this is a place mutants can go and feel safe. I'm usually a drifter of sorts. Though I've never left New York after moving here, I haven't stayed in one place for too long. Eldwyn said it would be alright if I stayed with him, if I was allowed to be here that is."

Hearing Tricity approve of Nicki being roommates with Nika made the young cat girl smile. She turned to Nicki still smiling just as a boy entered the room. Her blue eyes looked him over as he got closer to the ladies. While following the guy with her eyes Nika spotted Nicki tugging on her ear and blushing. Wow, someone is guy shy. She didn't say anything to Nicki though. Instead she just listened to the conversation between Tricity and Kaz.
