The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Zek
Something bounced off of Iguana-Girl’s head. Instinctively the mutant and reptile whirled around, searching for the source of this projectile weapon. In the dim light of the store, she did not see individual things as well as she had when human, but she could still see things clearly. Picking a target, she decided to teach everyone a lesson to never mess with a cornered iguana. LizZard Beta charged the nearest leg, hissing up a storm and sounding like a snake bent on murder. Claws poked holes in the jeans, instantly making the loser guy in them in style. She easily scaled his leg and reached his shirt. There, she tenaciously hung on to it with her sharp teeth, dropping off the leg and just hanging there, like a cold-blooded pit bull.
Then the fabric shredded and she fell. Surprisingly, the iguana took it easily and rolled with it, coming to a stop by Iguana-Girl’s natural body. Dark red fabric was stuck in her teeth. She glared at all the humans around, daring them to face her wrath and fear. And surprisingly, they backed away and then started running. But that was probably due to them witnessing a giant toss a person out a window like she would throw a lemon into the trash. But LizZard Beta didn’t really care. She just knew that her assaulters were leaving. Hissing, mostly to herself, Iguana-Girl nimbly clambered up onto her body, guarding it in the best way possible.
In the declining moments of anger, the decreasing feeling allowed Liz another window of rational thought. She moved the lizard’s head and took stock of the whole situation. From her previous small vantage point a half foot above the floor, surrounded by tons of angry people, and with dim lighting, LizZard Beta had not been able to keep track of anything else than protecting both herself and her body. And nothing else had mattered then either. Now she could see drops and smears of a dark liquid, possibly her natural blood, covering bits of tile here and there. She could see small piles of black and various other internal-organ colors dotting the place, obviously where some spiders had been forcefully exterminated. Cups dominated the floor.
She could also see Amber, in all of her dinosaur-glory, standing near her. And the giant, the only other person in the place, get closer to them. Terror began rising in Liz again. What was the man going to do to them? She hadn’t seen him clear out the building or take a bullet in his hand and then throw someone out a window. She hadn’t even thought of why the people had scattered like roaches. No, she had just been too preoccupied with the minor things of life, like fearing for her life and protecting both of her selves from everything. And so, because the green-scaled girl didn’t know what kind of a rescuer the giant-man was, it was only natural that Iguana-Girl assume he was a threat and so she began hissing again and lashing her tail as he approached.

Now that the site was clear and his ride was well on his way he lifted his shirt and removed three large bags that were fastened to his chest with a small cloth bed sheet (that could also came in handy when looting was an option). The dinosaur didn’t move as he approached but he lifted his hand and held it out to it so it could sniff it, a habit he had with all his critters, he wanted to let the large half dead looking beastie he meant it no harm, which he didn’t.
”Here for a few samples and all that,” Bacchus said as he spotted a coral snake slither by with it’s red, black and yellow… was that a coral snake? He shrugged and figured he’d get chewed out by Ulysses, he’d been chewed out before it was something he could handle, so he didn’t really think twice to scoop it up with a slightly less massive hand. The snake coral or not, tempted to bite him but didn’t manage to penetrate his skin, ”Easy there love, no need for a panic.” he said opening one of the large burlap sacks and tossing the snake in.
Another snake or twelve, a spider or two and then the larger reptiles, (all in their respective bags) ”Got about five minutes if you shiela’s want a ride!” Bacchus said looking to the lifeless body protected by a hissing iguana and the dinosaur, ”Errr… I might need to take you back myself…” Bacchus sighed as he walked over to the girl’s body and hissing iguana, ”Spit**** aren’t ya?” Bacchus asked picking it up by the tail with not worried to be attacked by it due to his skin being tougher than your average mutant.
Once he did his work and collected enough critters for his fill he smirked and tied off all the bags and set them down on the ground next to the lifeless body of the girl. ”Err…” he poked her body once then heard a honk of a horn and he spotted the converted escalade he managed to pimp for Ulysses, pimping included taking out the back seats and replacing them with plastic boxes so when the did manage to go collecting they’d have a crate the critters couldn’t escape from.
Bacchus looked back to the girl and then to the bed sheet he brought with him and shrugged, draping it over the body he scooped her up and tossed her over his shoulder as he shrunk a few feet so he could get her and all the bags out the door. Once outside and he tossed the girl in the front seat and the critters in back he looked to the simian looking mutant behind the wheel. ”Not sure the dinosaur is going to fit…” he muttered to himself before slamming the car door shut, ”I’ll meet you two back at the Sanctuary, get lil Shiela here into the infirmary!” Bacchus commanded as he heard Ulysses question about a dinosaur before driving off.
”Can you move?” Bacchus asked as he walked back into the pet shop hearing sirens whining in the distance.
