The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Still a bit dazed from before and from in such a thinking mode..as he usually was, Terrance heard the door open and saw the familiar face from before. Terran smiled, seeing that she looked somewhat "rushed" in her clothing wear. Of course Terran was still in his usual choice of clothing, which consisted of black denim jeans, his worn leather jacket...which he almost was never seen without. He looked her up and down, a somewhat amused expression playing his unshaved countanance."Hey. Ya mentioned somethin' earlier..." He caught a glimpse of what appeared to be reconstruction of her room."Ah, I see yer in the middle of somethin'...shall I lend a 'and? Or did I come at a wrong time?" He asked. His hand figeted, reaching down into his pocket for his favorite zippo lighter. Although he had forgotten it on the kitchen table downstairs. And for that he quitly cursed himself. He waited for her reply standing there in the doorway, his ears catching the sounds of the electronica music. It always did seem strange of what music people listened to these days. 'Much different than wha' I had...tha's fer sure...' he thought.
Looking him over, he still looked his tough self as he had downstairs in the kitchen. "Nah, you can stop by whenever you like. Come on in," she said, "There's a seat right here." Leading him by the hand, she sat him down on the chair she had pulled out before. Now taking a look at him, she got a chance to take in his features: rough appearance, dark eyes, dark hair, an almost animalistic primal way of being... And yet, she knew there had to be a softer side to him--or rather, she hoped there was. Now turning back to her work, she decided she would make conversation with her stranger.
"Those two in the kitchen were almost electric, weren't they?" she laughed. "That's why I offered for us to come up here--half needing to finish the project, you know, and leave those two alone... and half wanting to get to know this rugged man I have sitting here in my Ciapercelli Cave."
Laughing to herself, she turned to him. "Well, while you're here, I wouldn't mind if you stirred up this paint for me." she said, and pointed at the paint can. Hopefully, she might be able to get something out of him if he was absentmindedly working on something else.
"I remember you said something about being a shapeshifter... If you don't mind my asking, what is it that you can turn into?" she ventured.
"Those two in the kitchen were almost electric, weren't they?" she laughed. "That's why I offered for us to come up here--half needing to finish the project, you know, and leave those two alone... and half wanting to get to know this rugged man I have sitting here in my Ciapercelli Cave."
Terrance nodded, a grin starting on his face, remembering the faces in his mind's eye. "Yeah..children...or rather teens these days...are a tad bit...chatty..."He paused. He felt a little confused. But he would get over it soon enough. He started for the paintcan. "Nice to be 'ere." He replied, hand going through his hair. Now that he thought about it...he really did need to get a hair cut sooner or later. But he decided that was to be done another time.
"I remember you said something about being a shapeshifter... If you don't mind my asking, what is it that you can turn into?" she ventured.
He looked back, a small smirk beginning on his lips. "If ya really wanted to know...guess there's nothin' really holdin' me back." Terran reached for the paint can. He chuckled inwardly, amost like a animal's growl. "Ever see the old movie...."The Wolf Man"?" He asked, a hint of non-seriousness in his tone. ((GAAAAH WRITERS BLOCK)) He peered over at her, his eyes piercing into hers.
Fiona smiled when he said he was happy to be there, as in the back of her mind she had been wondering if he was lingering out of boredom. She looked up just as he passed a hand through his hair and smiled.
"I like your hair..." she commented. 'It looks so cute on him...' was what she thought.
Looking him over, she heard him linger on the answer to her question. 'The Wolf Man? What the...' In her mind's eye she pictured the scene that she remembered: her as a child watching the film projected on a giant screen, eyes glued to the picture before her. Her eyes staring into his, she raised an eyebrow with a slight half-smile.
"You're a sort of werewolf, aren't you?" she said, sort of amused, yet incredibly curious.
Fiona was always the kid who, even though she was scared to the point of being dazed, identified with the "bad guy"--be it Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, or coincidentally the Wolf Man. She remembered sticking up for him to her friends in the Tour, trying to humanize him to everyone. Usually she only got rolling eyes and laughs, but she wondered how they would feel if she brought a real Wolf Man home.
Fiona put down the spade in her hand and walked closer to him. She studied his face, his hands, arms, legs--body in general, imagining it turning into a large, bloodthirsty wolf. It wasn't too hard with someone like Terrance, although she didn't quite see him going after her... A tad bit naive, but Fiona was Fiona. She leaned down, looking him straight in the face. Raising a hand, she placed it gently on his cheek, feeling the roughness.
"Can you shape shift whenever you want?" she said and continued her study.
