The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He smiles "Indeed I'm not one of yours. I wander tough these places and am here to help people if they are worth being helped. Actually i can do whatever i desire here but i find it interesting to see how you will end up." He crosses his arms as he slowly walks behind you as you make your way over the first part of the path. He smiles wondering if she would realise that she is dreaming already. But then again most dreamers don't believe it unless you smack them in the face whit the facts. He looks up as she told him that she didn't want blood to be everything she is. "That's probably a smart decision but to come back from all you already did, i think you still will have a heavy time ahead of you."
He quietly watched her standing before the 2 paths. The first one full of hidden and certain dangers and the other one a easy road leading to a small comfortable path and water. But by now he already was familiar eneug whit the way this dream was going so he wasn't surprised as the path changed into a shortcut too the dark path again. "Finding redemption and walking this path isn't easy you know ... There will be all kinds of temptations along the way and even the smallest sidestep could cause all you tried to do be in vain and you will end up back at the road you once walked. and it will make walking the right path again even more harder then it already is. But don't despair ... there is always hope." He walks into the mist towards the larger path and he holds out his hand suddenly towards you. "If you prove that you really want to take this path like you did ... there will always be people who will help you and make it easier."

Was it possible that a spirit guardian might guard many people rather than just a single one? In her dreaming mind, it didn't occur to Meld that the person in her dream might be another mutant. Mutants were for the waking world, not for the land of the unconscious. Besides, whoever said that a spirit guide couldn't also be a mutant? He was helping her and that was really all that mattered. That's what spirit guides did.
Meld watched as her guide walked back into the mist and extended his hand towards her. She took one more look at the dark blood red lake that still beckoned her and then back towards her guide, before taking his hand and stepping back onto the main path. "How will I know which is the right path to walk?" Meld asked. In the waking world she didn't like to appear weak, but this was a dream and he was her guide and as her guide he was supposed to answer questions like this. How would she know if she took a misstep when he was gone?
As he stepped into the mist his form was soon shrouded by mist as she could only see his hand that holded hers. She would see that where he guided her the thorns and other dangerous stuff couldn't reach and harm her. He had decided that for now this would be enough for her and started to reshape the dream to fit into something more pleasant to give her a break from that heavy stuff. After a few minutes walking in silence he smiles and looks up only to see sunlight slowly pierce the mist. They where out now.
As they stepped out of the mist they would see that they where in the clearing of a forest and had left the maze they where in behind. As he let go of her hand he turned around and vines came to life sealing of the opening to the maze so that the hedge was once again closed. " Which path is the right one and which path is the wrong one ... Nobody can say for sure its something you have to find of for yourself. And if you see that the path you are taking is wrong you mustn't hesitate to back up and make up for your mistakes. That's what this maze wanted to show you today. But i think that was enough for today. You took the first step on the right road so i have hope for you."

Meld trusted her guide in a way that she never would have in the real world. In the real world trust was dangerous and one had to be very careful who one decided to put one's trust into lest it end up in betrayal and death. But in a dream? In a dream all the rules that governed the real world ceased to exist.
"I don't know it I can make all the right choices and avoid all the hidden pitfalls," Meld stated because it was simple truth. She really didn't know if she would be able to walk to the end of her chosen path. She continued to follow her guide as he led her off of the twisted thorn laden path and into another path, a familiar path from her childhood. That path led to a peaceful forest complete with a small stream. She smiled at the image, remembering the good times she had had here with her sister.
"Thank you," Meld said. The dream began to break up as she slowly regained consciousness and, even as the dream faded from her consious mind, she smiled in memory of the end.
He smiled as everything slowly started to fade, she was waking up so it was time to say goodbye. "You don't need my thanks ... It was a pleasure from my part ... but don't worry to much. Nobody can avoid all the pitfalls . You don't have to be perfect just be yourself and you will find your way."
As his body faded as well he smiled "Well this is goodbye for now, but who knows ... I might meet you once outside the dream world ... The name is Brian by the way ... Brian Pitschon but i think my nickname Dreamer is more appropriate. " The fading remains of Brian turn back into a glowing orb before it disappears in a flash out of her dream.
Back at the mansion Brian yawns as he opens his eyes. He stretches out as he stands up out of his bed and looks around in his room again. The newly decorated room got lighted by several rays of sun coming rough the curtain. He walks over and pulls them open as he looks outside. The time for dreams and nightmares was over for today again.
