The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura watched from the sidewalk as Lenna went on to the house and began to push the insurance. She had learned fast and Aura felt comfortable just watching from the sidewalk. In just a short time Lenna had become an expert as pushing the insurance. She was glad this was going well and that nothing to bad had happened so far. Overhearing the conversation she heard Lenna's hint Aura knew the idea and took just a few moments tor react.
Aura let her Aura flare up, quickly covering herself in the pink energy and formed an Axe which she then used to cut the man's mailbox down in a single swing. After all she did wnat to inflict to much damage quite yet but their were other ways to get a good result and looking at her hand, she reformed her Axe into a drill and then a buzz saw. One thing she liked was that her powers were perfect for intimidation.
Looking at the woman she gave an angry looking scowl and licked her lips. She was dangerous and she wnated to show the man as such. Still she refrained from doing any more damage as people who had to repair their propertys could afford to pay less out. As much as she would have enjoyed mudering every human in range she had a job to do and do it she would.
The look on the old man's face perfectly spelled out the terror in which he'd now live. Angry mutants attacking his lawn fixtures... that seemed insurance-worthy.
"See? What did I tell you?" Lenna said. "If you had signed up for the insurance, we could have helped you fix that. If you sign up now, we can certainly help with the next one." She held out the clipboard and papers.
Silently and begrudgingly, the man signed.
Lenna smiled. "Good. Have a nice day, then."
With that, she turned and started walking down the street. She kept a fair distance from Aura, so as not to draw conclusions... eventually, after a tiny bit of walking, she was able to rejoin the girl. "And the next one?" She asked.
The racketeering continued on into the evening. Finally, it was time to call it quits. Lenna smiled at Aura. "We did good work today," She said. "Thanks for showing me the ropes."
"Not an issue at all, you learn quick and are not afraid to use a little violence to get the point across" she said having enjoyed her day with lenna. The girls power bothered her a bit, but what could one do, it was useful power all and all and one that could certainly help in a fight. Aura had to admt the job was more fun then she thought it would be at first, she was gload her fears had been proven wrong.
"No trouble, if you need someone to do a littile stabbing with, im always game?" she said happily as she departed from her new mutant friend blissfully unaware of what the term adapted even was. She headed back to the Sactuary to get some rest for the morning tomorrow was another day to reach out and stab some poeple. She made sure they missed no one then folded the paper and lit it on fire watching it burn away the evidence even though the act was unneeded.
