The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria laughed quietly. "Ah yes the ever elusive Tricity." She gave the room a quick one over. "Well where do you want to look next?" She yawned again and blinked rapidly.
"You want to look later? You look like you could use some rest," Mike asked. Her yawning hadn't escaped him, even with the rather touchy subjects that had been coming up.

Daria laughed. "No. I'm fine. I don't know. It's another weird thing about my mutation. I can sleep at anytime. I can just lay down and fall right asleep. Some super power huh? But then the still human part of me wakes me right back up. I'ts...frustrating." She stretched and looked out the window. The ground was still wet and thesky was a bit dark but it wasn't raining. She touched the spot on her pants where her car keys were located.
"Well... if there was one place that Tricity would HAVE to walk through sooner or later... where would it be?" He looked out the window, noting the dark clouds. "So... is it rain itself, or do you have to actually be in it for it to bother you?"

"Good question. I would say the bathroom...but that's just awkward. so my next guess would be here or..her office." She shrugged. There were random benches on some floors but Daria had never been to Tricity's room in order to know if there was a place for them to wait.
She answered Mike's second question with her eyes focused directly on his. "It's only when I drive in it. OR when I'm in a car." She swallowed hard and frowned, looking past Mike into some unseen space. "But...yesterday I was having these weird daydreams about the car accident...and..about drowning. The first time I was central park. And there was someone watching and I was screaming for help but no one was helping me. It was so vivid and When I realized I was just daydreaming that thought perplexed me so much that I walked into the pool!
"Cats hate water in the first place, to start. But when I fell in the pool I had this insane flash back...Like the accident was happening all over again. It triggered my powers and I was sort of 'blinking' in and out of..existance so to speak. I usuallly have that type of panic attack only when I'm in a car ona rainy day...not when I'm in a pool." She shrugged. "seems like instead of my powers growing, my fear is doing it instead."
Mike nodded. There were any number of pre-made consolations he could give, like 'it'll get better,' but he didn't. It sounded fake, and he had no way of knowing that they were true, or even suspecting it, and he hated when people said something they didn't mean. Besides, he doubted Daria would appreciate them anyway, they were too much like coddling. Coddling had its place, of course, but this wasn't it.
"Well, we could camp out outside her room, I suppose. Or we could just let her find us. I really don't think she's going to go there without us."
"Yeah." Daria said still half looking to the sky. "We can let her find us." She remembered the sketch book in her bag and suddenly felt like being outside. "Let's get some fresh air then."
