The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

~~"Look at them, and yourself,"
A smirk instantly flashed onto her face, if he wasn’t talking about a passion he mioght have noticed that he walked strait into a verbal ambush, just by the coy look on her face. But she complied looking at them.
~~"Humans are so privlaged. You can go about your lives, from the day your born, to the day you die, with relatively little worry. Economy and bad luck aside, you don't generally have to worry about jobs, homes, or food. Not like us. Some of us, like myself, are lucky...or, made our own luck, and we got out, rose above all that, there aren't many of us that are lucky Tyranny."
Interesting how he decided that all the people before him were human, She assumed he had no way of know due to the fact the she herself was a mutant that could cancel out other mutants. She listened with mixed interest, she knew very well about how hard and easy mutants had it. she paced close to him, if he was aware of himself he would notice a distinct difference in his own abilities, like someone flipped the switch on his xgene.
~~"I have no idea how or if I'll be able to do it, but if possible, I want to make a community for mutants, help them get jobs, schooling, etc., where it doesn't matter what they are. That gives them the same chances as any human."
~~"You asked."
“And you, think that every one here is human, and more importantly, you think I am too.” her pointer finger raised to tap his nose. “further more you haven’t seen things from the other side. Humans have to worry about plenty. All the same things, we all have to worry about, the necessities, you can’t believe that there are only mutants out there that are losing hope. You can’t believe that every homeless person is a mutant.” She gestured to the crowd. “ And they have to worry about when an unlucky mutant will come along and decide that their bad luck just became yours and then decided to use what ever gift they have to destroy someone’s life. “
She then held up a pacifying hand. “ all that aside, I think it is wonderful that you would help those that are in need, whether you prefer one group over another doesn’t make it less of a noble deed.”

Kaz hadn't realized how close Tyranny had come to him, only that she had moved. When he turned back to her, they were less than an arm length apart. He felt a tickle behind his eyes, his scalp buzzed, his body tingled all over. He didn't realize his crimson gaze turned emerald while his silver hair darkened until the color resembled that of a raven's feather, even his ears seemed to shrink a bit as they rounded out.
Kaz narrowed his eyes at the woman, processing her words, his emerald gaze just as intense as before. Tilting his head a bit as she finished. "I'm glad you think so, but do me a favor and do not think me ignorant. I know full well what humans go through, what they have to deal with, my late fiancee was human. I also know how much help and how many programs there are for humans to help other humans. I instruct humans and mutants in sword arts."
He had been looking into Tyr's eyes while he spoke, only when he paused did he notice something he hadn't before. Her green eyes made it difficult, but there it was, he could see himself clearly in her eyes. His eyes widened slightly as her words surfaced and danced in the forefront of his mind, '..more importantly, you think I am too.' Kaz composed himself in short order and stood even more straight backed than he had been.
Muttering under his breath, which he could barely hear himself now, "So that's what that was." With a raised eyebrow, "You really aren't human."
