The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was around 4pm in the city of Kyoto. A light autumn breeze swept through a few sakura trees carrying a few blossoms with it through the air to sprinkle the pink petals over a maiden of 16. She held out her hand to catch one of these blossoms in her palm, then releasing it back into the air. It was moderately windy this evening for some reason. Perhaps a literal symbolism for the winds of change as a new path was about to unveil itself before young Kokoro. A new life that was on the horizon. New people. New adventures. New friends. New enemies. Perhaps even love and sure enough a path to self discovery. As exciting as that all sounded, it didn’t mean diddly squat to the girl. The growling of her empty stomach was where her concentration was set. With no food to fuel her body, Kokoro trudged through the city streets behind her best friend, Jun.
“Gah, Koko-chan! Enough with your foolishness! Will you come on?” Jun scolded, raising her nose out of her history book and tucking it back into her bag while frowning at Kokoro. “I have chores to do, and then homework and I know you do as well! So pick up the pace!”
“Easier said than done, Jun-chan. I think this just might be my swan song… ” Kokoro replied falling to her knees and coughing harshly into her fist. “I always thought I would live a full life…but I suppose not. Oh, no husband. No beautiful wedding, no children, no collecting my husband’s life insurance check. My dreams are dead and so am I. UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!” the girl released one last grunt before falling over onto the ground, her eyes closed and tongue handing out the corner of her mouth. Jun was not amused and walked over in a haste to promptly connect a light, but painful kick to Kokoro’s head.
“Owe! What the hell?!” Kokoro screamed bolting upright and holding her head. Jun merely chuckled in amusement and pointed a finger to her friend’s face. “I’m serious. I have an agenda to stick to. Now get up and move! Here, this will hold you over until we get home.” Jun said reaching into her book bag and tossing an onigiri.
Kokoro caught the riceball and wibbled back up at Jun. “You…knew I was hungry and you decide to give this to me NOW? You’re so cruel, Jun-chan…”
“Mmmhmm. That’s nice. Now move it!” Jun demanded putting her hands to her hips and tapping her foot impatiently.
“Fine, Fine,” Kokoro said taking a chunk out of the riceball. “I’s shrould prolly bhead bhome stuoo…” she spoke with her mouth full. Jun’s eyes narrowed at the rice particles flying from her friend’s mouth. The girl seriously needed some lessons in etiquette. “Tetsu-san is coming to visit this evening. I should be there to greet him.” Kokoro added before finishing off her snack. However, she could not get the chance as she soon felt Jun’s hands clutch her neck and she was shook violently.
“TETSUYA-KUN IS COMING TODAY AND YOU DIDN’T TELL ME!?” Jun hollered, continuing to shake and ignoring Kokoro’s eyes practically popping out of her skull. “HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME LIKE THIS? DOES OUR FRIENDSHIP MEAN NOTHING TO YOU!? WELL, ANSWER ME!!!”
“..Can’t…..breath… ” Kokoro squeaked weakly.
“Oops, sorry. Sorry Koko-chan. My bad.” Jun laughed nervously as she released Kokoro from her grip.
“Psycho!” Kokoro screamed as she brought a hand to her throat breathing heavily to allow air into her lungs. “…anyways, yes. Tetsuya-san is returning from America. Don’t get too excited. There won’t be a chance for you to see him because he will be sparring and training with me. So..yeah. You can just stay home with your little books.” she smiled smugly.
“…Alright. See if I ever do your homework ever again.” Jun replied and resumed her walk towards home. “And next time you decide to forget your lunch, don’t bother trying to eat off mine.”
“…Jun-chan, no need to be so rash. I was kidding! C’mon!” Kokoro whined skittering behind Jun. “Who’s the bestie? You’re the bestie! I love you… ” she said poking out her lip. Jun merely turned and delivered a devilish grin raising a finger as she gathered her response.
“I’m the bestie? I’m touched. However, actions speak louder than words. I will contract you to design my dress for when Tetsuya and I get married. By doing this, your loyalty will be proven. Yes…” Jun nodded.
“…You’re shameless, Jun-chan….” Kokoro shook her head sighing as she checked her watch for the time. Her eyes bugged again as she noticed it was nearly 4:30pm and Tetsuya was due to arrive sometime around 5 that afternoon. The 16 year old put that riceball’s calories to work and broke out into a sprint towards home. “Bye, Jun! Call you later! Gotta boogie!!!” she cried disappearing into the distance.
“That you will…oh, Tetsuya-kun…” Jun blushed and swooned while holding her bag tightly to her chest.

The sun in the sky was brilliant. Brighter than one million middle school geniuses arranging a bonfire in Time’s Square. The fields were long and sloping, covered in grass and bunnies. Demon Scrolls fluttered in the morning wind. Suddenly, a white wolf leapt onto the crest of a hill and reared back its head to howl.
~*~
A mild bump jostled Shin from his nap. The airplane was landing. He pushed up the window on his right and glanced out at the Kansai International Airport’s tarmac as the plane taxied towards to ramp. The afternoon sky was blazing gray. Shin smacked his lips a few times and yawned, gathering his thoughts. What kind of dream had he been having? Far too much gaming the night before the flight… and too much reading during it, too much doodling on the sketch pad during turbulence— all combined with jet lag to bring him on a trip. He held his head. Oh, the trip he’d had. They didn’t even make trees bright enough to mimic the varying degrees of hot pink heaven he’d been dreaming.
A sketch pad with a yellow cover shifted off Shin’s lap and flopped to the floor. He bent forward to slip it into a navy blue shoulder bag alongside his books, and then reached up to open the overhead compartment, grabbing his red duffel. As he sat back down in his seat, he laid the duffel and the shoulder bag across his lap.
This trip had been long overdue. Shin hadn’t been in Japan since two years prior. He’d kept in touch with family over the mail, be it snail or ethereal, but there was no substitute for good ol’ fashioned face-to-face visitation. His sister had insisted. It seemed his grandparents weren’t doing as well as before. She wanted him to see them now, while it wasn’t too late. The timing was too perfect for Shin. He’d spoke with Ghost and arranged his vacation to coincide with her schedule, and he’d made sure she had people to take his place while he was away. He’d been apprehensive leaving Full Circle after the man he’d later learned to be ‘The Predator’ had stopped by the shop and manhandled him. Ghost had insisted it was alright. Full Circle would survive without him. Shin had thanked her more times than he should. He’d let Kasumi know where he was going, and told the people at the Mansion he’d be absent, and they’d have to arrange the Mansion Greeting schedule a bit differently while he was away. Before he left, he’d made one final arrangement. He asked Katrina to babysit Thor for him. Shin didn’t want to leave the dog, but he figured if he did leave him, he could trust Katrina to take excellent care. After all, she’d been doing fine with Sam’s other dog. The fact the two dogs had lived together and were friends only strengthened Shin’s belief that things would be fine. While he was away, Thor needed a friend. Kenzie filled the bill.
As he walked out the exit to the ramp, Shin glanced around. People filed by in thick crowds. He caught sight of two familiar faces for a split second, then lost them in the torrent of men. The crowd seemed to blur. He put a hand to his forehead and found his way to a line of chairs. He shirked his shoulder bag as he plopped down, and let his duffel bag rest at his feet. They'd said they were going to meet him here, weren't they? He squinted again, searching for a relative’s face. Nothing, nada, nope. Where were they, where were—
A comforting hand rested on his shoulder. Shin looked up from his worries. There was Sasami. “Tetsu-chan. We’re here.” She smiled quietly. Shin returned the smile with a look of relief.
“I’m glad.” He picked up his bags and walked towards the luggage area with Sasami and Reika. His sister and his aunt had chosen to meet him this time. He’d visit his parents and grandparents later. A small group was better here.
They collected Shin’s luggage and purchased their tickets for the Kansai Airport Rapid Service train to Osaka Station. From there, they took the Special Rapid train to their destination in Kyoto. Along the way, they talked of many things. They talked of family, of work, of politicians, and they talked about Shin. He told them where he was working now, keeping quiet just how special Xavier’s Institute really was.
Aside from talk, the two hour trip home was uneventful. They pulled up to Reika and Ichiro's house at exactly 4:45 PM. He stepped out of the car just in time to see Kokoro blazing towards him.
"Damn, damn, damn!" Kokoro cried as she looked down to the watch on her wrist and it read 4:37pm. The girl was cutting too close on time, and maybe she shouldn't have been lallygagging with Jun. She hadn't seen Tetsuya in a couple years and it'd be rather rude not to be there for his arrival. It was ok, all would be ok. The 15 year old kept a steady and swift pace with her foot work. Swerving in and out of the crowds and vaulting over whatever obstacles in her way, whether it'd be a small child, animal or a fire hydrant. She would make it home to greet her cousin. Nothing would stop her, nothing at all...until her nose picked up on the sweet aroma of Kushidango.
"Oh man..." she sighed coming to a screeching halt in front of the dumpling cart. She looked at her watch...would she be able to spare a minute or two to grab a snack? That question was answered when Kokoro slammed down her yen and snagged a skewer holding the 3 sweet dumplings."Arigatō!!!" she cried to the cart owner and broke out into a sprint once again.
Just as she rounded the corner, Kokoro could see her mother pulling up in the driveway with a male figure sitting in the back seat. In that moment, Kokoro put every ounce of strength she had into her legs and was practically leaping down the street as a ballerina did across the stage. "TETSUYA-SAN!!!!" the 15 year old screamed. She would pivot her foot to keep herself from running him over. However, her footing as lost and the girl found herself flying into Shin, sending both to them to the pavement.
"Owe..." Kokoro groaned, laying across Shin's stomach. She took a moment to sit up panting heavily. Then she turned to smile at Shin and giving him a special welcome as she dragged him into a tight hug. "Tetsuya-San! I'm so happy you're here! I've missed you so much! Oh my god, you've been away too long! You've been in America and you're not a lard butt! Happy Day, cousin! Happy Day!!!" she cried.

KABLAMMO!
Shin's ass hit concrete. He winced! They fell. Kokoro lay heavily on his chest, and tears welled in his eyes. He was so weighed down.
"I just recovered from a broken arm, Kokoro... I really don't need a broken neck." He grimaced, propping himself up on his elbows as she flowed straight from chest weight to bone-crushing hug. A squeak escaped the confines of his throat. He struggled for a second, then gave in. "Or broken ribs~" Shin patted Kokoro's head capriciously, gently reaffirming. "That being said, hey. It's been a while. You've grown... Are you still into Sailor Moon?"
"Oh...sorry..." Kokoro said turning Shin loose and backing away to give him room to breath. She always did get a little too rough with her affection, especially when she hadn't seen anyone for so long. 2 years qualified him for a rib crushing hug. She heard of his arm injury and her eyes widened. "Your arm broke!? What happened!? Oh no, no , no that's not good at all!" Kokoro hopped up to her feet and raised her fist o the sky before declaring: "I shall avenge you, Tetsuya-San. I shall travel the globe and break every one of my opponents' arms in your honor! THE SHINBO'S FAMILY HONOR SHALL NOT FALL!!!!" she declared leaping on top of the family car. "NOTHING WILL DEFEAT US!"
"Kokoro, get off of the car and stop acting like a nut!" her mother, Reika, demanded, "Behave yourself while Tetsuya is in town. None of that fighting nonsense."
"..Fine..." Koko sighed hopping from the car and back onto the ground facing her older cousin . "Yes, I'm still into Sailor Moon. I have my Sailor Mars costume hanging in my closet...along with my Cure White, Cure Aqua, Mew Mint, and Miziruo Pearl Voice outfits. It really depends on my mood..." she said with a smile. "I'm really happy you've decided to visit...Now I have someone to spar with! Unless you don't think you can take me..." she smiled smugly.

It was a bit easier getting to his feet with Kokoro off his chest. Shin leaned forward, curling one knee in. For a second, he sat there cross-legged with his hands resting on his knees. "It's complicated," he replied. He gave her a pained look as she rose to announce the vengeance she'd most certainly seek on the unfortunate foes of the world. "And really, that isn't needed... Sam was a friend. It was an accident... about as accidental as any other possessed state inducing violent rages and chilling combat could be." With a grimace, Shin's hand pressed down on concrete. He got to his feet.
Sasami blinked at the pair. “… Eh? Sam… possessed… violent rages? I’m confused…” She pulled Shin's duffel bag from the trunk.
“It’s fine, Sami-chan. Don’t worry. And don’t go breaking any arms, Koko.” Shin turned to give Kokoro the serious eye. "No reckless fighting. I worry."
He smirked when she replied to his question about Sailor Moon. “That’s certainly impressive. I wonder if you have the Moon Princess dress… I doubt anyone could top Kasumi’s rendition of that.”
He reached forward to ruffle her hair teasingly. "And maybe later we can spar. Right now, I'm a bit jet-lagged. I actually doubt I really could take you..."
Dot dot dot. Sasami wrestled with a heavy suitcase, jerking it from the trunk. It flopped down on its wheels with a clack! She blinked at the pair, talking about fighting.
"Yes, Tetsuya-san..." Kokoro said with a nod as he instructed her not to engage in reckless fighting. Of course, it was a good thing she said yes rather than making a promise, then she wouldn't feel as bad and dishonorable for what she had planned for that evening. That was for later though, the current thing on her mind was this Sam character her cousin mentioned. Or rather, Who the hell does this Sam guy think he is breaking her cousin's arm? Violent rage? Didn't seem like a very good friend if he went around breaking his buddies arms every time he got upset. Tetsuya had always been patient and understanding, but Kokoro was less forgiving. She vowed revenge against this Sam character. The grudge will stay with her and once she was old enough to travel out into the world on her own, Kokoro would slay the fiend who dared to hurt her own flesh and blood. She would show him what true rage is...
"Pffft. Whoever the heck this Kasumi girl is, I would totally drag her through the mud with a Princess Serenity Cosplay. I just choose to do Princess Mars because I like her dress better..." Kokoro replied eying Sasami struggling with the luggage. The 15 year old bolted over to her eldest cousin and gave her a salute."Sami-chan, allow me to to handle Tetsuya-san's luggage. It's the least I can do for not arriving on time to greet him properly." Kokoro said grabbing the largest of the bags and began to drag it up the drive way towards the house. "Not a problem at all!" she said before feeling a sharp pain in her head, or brain. It was like a migraine. It was as if her brain had swollen and was pressured against her skull. Whatever it was, it hurt like hell and the young girl found herself falling backwards on top of the suitcase holding her head as her face scrunched up from the pain.
"Asprin! ASPRIN!!!"she flailed like a fish on dry land.
"Oh dear, not again..." Reika sighed reaching into her purse and crouching down beside Kokoro. She took out a bottle of said asprin and deposited two pills into her daughter's mouth, after wards, Kokoro swallowed them down like candy. "This is terrible...I have no clue what's wrong with her..." Reika sighed to Sasami and Shin. "She's been having these awful migraines for the past month...they get so bad, she passes out at times. The doctors have no clue on why either. They say that she's perfectly healthy. It is a mystery to us all."
"I'm ok...." Kokoro said giving a weak thumbs up. "It's not that bad...all the time. It comes and goes. Particularly when I'm stressed. Not to mention that blacking out in P.E. gets me a free pass to skip the rest of the school day..." she shrugged.
"You're shamless...." Reika sighed with a face palm at her daughter.

>>"Pffft. Whoever the heck this Kasumi girl is, I would totally drag her through the mud with a Princess Serenity Cosplay. I just choose to do Princess Mars because I like her dress better..."
Shin laughed. “Well, I suppose I am a bit biased when it comes down to it there. See, Kasumi’s my girlfriend, and…” Shin held his chin with an egotist’s smirk. “I’m Tuxedo Shin.”
"Eh?" Sasami dropped another bag as Shin gave the world a glinting grin. She stared at the luggage on the pavement, uncertain, then looked up at the happy volunteer's face. "I appreciate it. Thank you." She bowed her head with a smile. "I'll take what I've dropped. I hope you don't have anything valuable in your luggage, Shin-cha—” Her bright smile vanished as Kokoro shot back like she’d been slugged. "Oh dear. Are you okay?!"
The banshee cry of 'aspirin, aspirin' tore through the air. Shin spun just in time to catch Reika rushing to her daughter's aid. She provided both medication and explanation. Worry leapfrogged over Shin's heart. “Migraines?” He tried to interrupt. ”You mean, like extreme headaches. Have you gone to the—”
“The doctors have no clue on why either. They say that she's perfectly healthy. It is a mystery to us all." Reika finished.

"Somehow, I don't think that's the most positive thing in the world, Koko. School's important, and so is—” He almost wanted to duck in advance saying this. Instead, he settled for a subtle drop in volume. “Learning.”
The suitcase under Kokoro's back shifted. Carefully, Shin put a hand against Kokoro's back for support, and pulled the suitcase away. He helped her to her feet. "Are you absolutely sure you're alright...?" He asked her.
What was it about teenagers having frequent migraines severe enough to miss gym that made him so concerned?
Kokoro's eyes narrowed. School important? Well, that maybe true but you can't deny the fact that it's also a pain in the ass and one of the most miserable things she had to put up with from day to day. School was evil and lame! "As long as you don't give me that 'knowledge is power crap, I won't hit you..." Kokoro spat rather bitterly as she was helped up. Speaking of power, Shin's concern triggered Kokoro to glance over at him. Was she absolutely sure she was ok? Of course she said she was because she didn't want to worry her parents anymore than they already are. In truth, she wasn't completely sure. She never could speak to her her parents and not even her best friend Jun about what was going on...or at least what she thought was going on. Tetsuya had always been kind and ready to lend an open ear if she had a problem. Perhaps he was the one she could actually talk to about her "condition."
"Tetsuya-san...I'm fine. However, I need to talk to you about something...please?"
"What would that be?" Reika asked crossing her arms over her chest. "You're cousin is tired and you need to get some rest as well."
"It's...about a paper I have to write...about american culture. I just need to talk to him quickly...that's all. Won't take longer than 10 minutes..." Kokoro replied with a bold face lie to her mother. She look back at Shin, giving him the slightest head nod of 'no' and mouthing the words, "It's very important." to him. "So please, Tetsuya-san?"

"S-sure..." Shin replied with a hint of worry. What could she have to talk to him about? He was pretty sure American culture was out of the question. What couldn't one find on Wikipedia? That only left important matters. Oh god, it couldnt be... Shin's face color-inverted in terror, then faded to normalcy.
As Sasami and Reika moved to bring Tetsuya's bags into the house, Shin stared at Kokoro. "It isn't homework problems, is it?" He whispered. "Well, whatever it is. I'll listen."
He bent down to pick up the suitcase Kokoro had been sitting on, then walked into the house. The suitcase's wheels wobbled into the guest room. He looked around. A simple navy blue futon lay folded in the corner with paisley pillows and a purple comforter. A television sat on the stand on the opposing side of the room from the window, and a plaid rug stretched out on the floor. Shin padded over said rug, plopped down on the futon, and bent forward to pop open his suitcase.
He sifted through a few things (Underwear, comic books, t-shirts, books...) until he found what he was looking for. "Here," Shin smiled as he tossed an Usagi plushie to Kokoro. It wore a little knitted sweater and people-sized socks. "I made those myself while I waited in the airport. You wouldn't believe how much work it is to get a set of plastic knitting needles around Airport Security. Glad you still like Sailor Moon. If you hadn't, that..." He pointed at the stuffed character. "Would of been a big fun waste of time. So, what is it you wanted to talk to me about...?"
Following him in his room, Kokoro too a seat on the carpet in front of Shin, watching as he unloaded his bags. One particular thing had caught his eye and that one thing he happened to actually toss her way. A Usagi plushie with..socks? "Kawaii!" Kokoro cried catching the plush and snuggling it affectionately. "Thank You, Tetsuya-san. I love it!" she smiled continuing her snugfest with the plushie until Shin's next question. At that, Kokoro fell over completely taken off guard. Really? His first thought was that she was having guy troubles?....Which she was because she didn't have one and it totally sucked! But that wasn't what she wanted to discuss. "No boys..." Kokoro said picking herself up again as she tried to find a way to word her problem.
"Tetsuya-san....it's about my headaches....." she began with a heavy sigh and continued. "I don't think I'm normal. By that I mean, I think I'm a....well I'm not exactly sure. You see sometimes when these headaches occur, It feels like theres something else there. Like they get so strong and something invisible or I don't know. Stuff gets knocked down. Like some kind of invisible force knocks them down. It's weird. I think maybe I'm paranoid or maybe there's something more to it than I'm giving credit to..."

>> "No boys..." Kokoro replied, picking herself up and struggling to find the words.
Shin put a hand to his chest and let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness. If it had been boys, he'd of had to maintain the age-old refrain of 'none till your 20'. Nobody ever seemed to like that statement... he wondered why. His dad had always had so much success using it with Sasami and Shin... But if it wasn't boys... he watched Kokoro tactfully, seriousness slipping back into his features.
She thought she was a... he took a deep breath. It was only natural this might happen. It ran in the family, after all. Powers always seemed to act up during the coming of age, and now was that time. Headaches... unseen forces... oh, but she must've been so worried. His stomach muscles tensed as Shin leaned forward, arms on his knees.
"It's about time you learned the truth, Kokoro..." Dramatic pause, serious face serious face serious face. "Us of the Shinbo clan are out of this world."
He wiggled index fingers to simulate antennae behind his head.

>>"It's about time you learned the truth, Kokoro..."
Her stomach knotted up as the 15 year old leaned in to listen for what her cousin had to say. She wondered what exactly the truth was. Oh god, if she was adopted she would just die right then and there...not before snapping and killing a few others though. Okay not really, but being adopted was the last thing she wanted to hear...
>>"Us of the Shinbo clan are out of this world."
"..." Kokoro glared at Shin and his "antennae". Her reaction was her right hand curling into a fist and plowing into the side of Shin's head. "THAT'S NOT FUNNY! I'M BEING SERIOUS. I THINK I'M ACTUALLY A SAILOR SOLDIER!!!" Kokoro huffed. "I mean...I'm 15 and weird things are happening...I'm just waiting for a cat to bring my henshin wand so my powers can truly awaken. I wonder what planet I am...must be that planet after Pluto... Eris. Sailor Eris. Yes, and my element, I think I control the forces of energy. I kind of want to wear heels in my fuku like Mars, Venus and Neptune..." her eyes glazed over at the blissful thought of fighting off evil space aliens in a mini skirt. Then she came crashing back into reality. If only Sailor Soldiers were real...
"Seriously Tetsuya-san. I feel like I'm...different. You know? I don't want to say it, but...well...no, nevermind. That couldn't be it. Maybe I am just over thinking crap" she sighed burying her face in her hands. "Mutant....? It's not possible."

"..." Sweat beaded on Shin's forehead as the fist connected with the side of his head, but he stood strong and took it like a man. His neck fought back against 15-year old fist as long as it could, and then... he fell over on his side.
Not from the fist, mind you. But Pluto?! Pluto. He knew a Pluto. Big red guy? Super-human strength. Wore a Tuxedo Mask costume at some party and glowered at him while he danced with the pretty little thing that was his date. And Pluto? Or Venus, or Neptune, or... oh. Maybe the concussion had really gone to his head after all. Shin rolled back to his feet and sprung up.
"No, seriously..." He paused. She was suddenly serious too. Worried she was different, and... she buried her head in her hands. Shin slumped forward, defeated. "Okay. I wanted to sidestep this whole thing, but... look up, Kokoro."
Shin wore a pair of long triangular antennae on his forehead like a Gundam's V. He paused for a moment, focusing on the shards, and then... they fluttered off his forehead like a butterfly. Pinkish-triangular wings beat up and down across the room.
"It runs in the family, Kokoro." The butterfly touched down in front of her, wings folding inwards to form a pyramid. Shin's voice cracked as he came clean. "I'm a mutant. Heck, the entire school I work at is populated by them. And the bookstore where I work... the stance it takes is one of mutant-human peaceful coexistence. It wasn't always that way... when I first went there, an anti-mutant mob tore the building down with vengeful vigor. I... wanted to keep you from dealing with that... hoped it wasn't so, hence the jokes, but... if you really think you're a mutant, I know people who can help you. You don't have to go it alone."

As instructed, the teen looked upwards, spotting the antennae on her cousin's forehead. Her cheeks puffed outwards and her face scowling at Shin. Was he really making another alien joke? Well that's what it seemed like until the antennae started to flutter about and landing in front of her as a pyramid. Hm, well while it was nice that Shin was confessing his mutation and all, Kokoro was more mesmerized by the little object in front of her. A simple minded girl who was entertained by the shimmering pink surface...it would make a beautiful accessory indeed. Maybe she could turn it into a belt buckle or something. Then she remembered, Tetsuya was speaking to her. So...he was a mutant...and he works at a school for mutants....very odd in deed. Did it really run in the family? Tetsuya was the only one she knew of now...she still wasn't even sure if she was one herself yet.
"Tetsuya-san, why didn't you ever tell me? This is so pretty! I could have been making a fortune by turning these into jewelry!" Kokoro said grabbing the pyramid and staring at her distorted reflection it's glass surface. "What's it feel like? Does it hurt when you make them? What exactly are these? Elaborate on your powers! I wanna know everything!" she said excitedly. "I won't tell anyone either..."
