The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura realized just then she had let more then a few things slip, still she tried to answer the remains of Jaxons questions the best she could. She would do so without mentioning the order, she had become decent at that over the months she had been here. She paused for a moment gathering her thoughts to herself before she would answer, it was best to be careful and precise. Jaxon seemed clueless on the true state of things and Aura was a bit distressed by that as well, but again, maybe it was just how they were raised, Aura was raised to be a weapon and so that is what she did. Looking aroubnd she realized if she knew how to use this place better it might help explain things, but that was another day and another time. "We all serve somone, weather it is our selfs or someone els, and it may be better for you not to know." she said before continuing on.
"In the woods, i was tought how planets work, a planet can only have a single domanent species on it at a time, if their are more conflict will arise and the stronger of the two species will survive. Humans and Mutants simple can not coexist for this very reason. The appearance of our kind on earth tells us, that the reign of humans is over, nature has chosen us to guide it into the future. We need only to stop the humans who are causeing harm to our kind though, this is becuse when two mutants breed, they normally have a mutant child, however the chances for Humans are somewhat less and so simple breeding is in our faver, humans will cease to excist as more of our kind emerge." she said simply as if this was all matter of fact and somthing most people would know. Aura was more or less reciting the teachings Miracle had bestowed upon her and her friends.
"a while back my old team lost their fight, and most of were gunned down one by one, my good freind Via, was killedin her sleep when a morter struck her chest, i pried my sword from her charred hand. I know that i am a weapon and so i must train and fight to be useful to our species as a whole. If me or you wished to have kids, we would have to fear them being dicriminated against and hurt simply becuse we are mutants ourselfs, and it would be worse yet, when those babys obtained their own powers. Our children should be able to come into a world, that cares and loves them not one whare they have to fight simply becuse they are what they were meant to be. " she said this time it came from he rheart and her mind, though still based in her teachings. She was trying to help Jaxon understand things as best she could.
"My weakness, lead to my friends dieing, if i had been stronger, i could have prevented their deaths, Now the People of sanctuary are my family, i can not remain weak and allow them to be injured and killed again. So I train every secound i can and i fight any one who wishes to, so i can become better and stronger, so no more have to die because i was to weak to make a diffrence. Their are mutants such as the X-men who beleive humans can coexcist with Mutants, but that for the most part simply can not be, atleast not with those humans who would slay our us and our children. It will not be a short journy and many of our brothers and sisters may fall in the process, but it will be for a future that is ours, a future we can be happy and proud of, one in which our children and those we love can live and play without worry. Humans are much like deer at this point, they know they are cournerd and will lose this fight so they fight us and harm us to try and add a few more grains of sand to their remaining time on earth, but no matter what they do, the earth has chosen us my friend, to aide it into the future" Aura finally finished her speech over, unable to go on for days much as miracle had many many times. Still she thought she did pretty well herself, she rubbed her head a bit.

We all serve some one…. Jaxon thought for a moment. “I suppose you are right.” Though a lot of what Aura said made sense, Jaxon wasn’t sure she liked it or wanted to believe it. Jaxon wasn’t very combative by nature, and the idea of having to fight to take over the planet made her uncomfortable. Jaxon still felt human after all, and it was hard for her to reconcile those feeling with the idea that humans were a dying species. She still felt that humans and mutants weren’t very different.
two human parent can make a mutant and two mutants make a mutant, and I bet a mix makes a mutant… [colot=teal]“But doesn’t that mean that there is nothing anyone can do? Won’t mutants just become more common that humans until it is strange to be human, instead of strange to be a mutant? Until there are no humans?”[/color] The unspoken question in Jaxon’s mind if all that were true, the one that she wanted to go find out for herself, then why is fighting the only answer? Jaxon was tempted to simply dismiss Aura’s ideas because of her violent background and upbringing. But it seemed like such a prevalent opinion it had to have some weight.
The idea of having children would have usually made Jaxon protest vehemently. She wasn’t ready to have kids, too young, didn’t want them yet… all her objections. But her dreams of late had changed one of her objections. One of the clear things she had gotten. “Not me, I won’t have kids… I’d be a bad parent.” Jaxon’s tone indicated that it was simply a response, almost an instinct to say, rather than something she wanted to talk about. How do you tell someone that you had a strange unremembered yet highly detailed dream in which you were a terrible parent and person?
Jaxon felt bad every time she heard Aura talk about her past. Aura had it rough and Jaxon had the exact opposite, and it made Jaxon want to give Aura a hug and some cookies… find a way to make it better somehow. At some point Jax would have to tell Aura that she couldn’t blame herself for everything that happened in her past. After all Aura had been and still was, along with most of the people around the sanctuary including Jaxon, a child and too young to have so much responsibility, even now.
It seemed unfair that when most of them should be having fun and figuring out who they were, mutants for the most part had to decide early on what they were going to do and had to, from what Aura said, fight to survive and fight for the future of mutants. But there were good humans weren’t there? Just like any racial conflict, a person had to remember that every group has two sides of the coin or a few bad apples to spoil the bunch. Maybe Jaxon had been taught too much by her parents, was too tolerant, to accept any of this easily. “I need to think about this stuff more… Right now I don’t know how I feel about all that.” And even if she disagreed, Jaxon didn’t exactly have any better ideas so she couldn’t very well object to the ideas of others.
She sighed, wondering how they got on this topic, and glanced over at Aura. “This is all very depressing and deep.”
"Yes from what i was tought that seems to be the case, a species evolves becuse nature feels their is a need for change and it will not create uneeded changes. When one species becomes another the privious vertion begins to dye out. It is natures way, it changes a species so it can survive which means our planet has decided humans are no longer equipped to survive" she said as Jaxon asked if it was the only way, it was not they could simply wait for humans to die. "My route in life is to fight, it is what nature chose for me when she gave me my powers and so i will fill that role, still their are many other skills one was weild which can be just as needed. Even if the Humans dissopear we still need police and school teachers and the like" She said admitting their were many roles though she did know hers already and she felt comforted by that.
"I meant as our species has children, but i understand what you mean, i will bring no young to this world eather. My life style would make it a cruel choice for any kid i might bear" she said making a reference to what she felt would be a short brutal life, but on that would have meaning, she hoped people would remember her for what she did. "Becides that im not into boys anyway" she said with a smile.
"It is really quite sad, but the bright side is i get to fight and meet many new people. We for example may never have met had we been born in another time. Still i to wish for a world whare fighting and killing was not needed but i can not see that path now. But when people know your a mutant, humans will simply attack you becuse of that, so learning to use ones power helps ensure your own safety as well as your friends.
"We can't go to the same school as a human, after all if one team had a player who could telaport then they would win every game. Which creates jelously and then anger and hatred. Weather we try and be peaceful or we try to be agressive, the fight will find us. If a mutant can heal any wound with a touch, he could replace five human doctors, they might carry a grudge for loseing their jobs to a better suited person" she tried to explain furtehr. "It ok to think about things before hand after all combat is not the only things that helps in war. Doctors, police and even super merket clerks are all needed" she said though in truth those things seemed so very distent.

Murmuring in a soft sound, implying listening rather than acceptance and understanding, Jaxon nodded a bit dejectedly. Or the more populous species wipes out the new one before it gets a foothold… Either way it seemed like Aura was right about having to fight. Jaxon brightened slightly at the idea of herself not having to fight the way Aura did. Jax knew more about corporate take-overs and public relations than she did about fighting or people her own age. “I guess I should figure out how to help in a different way…”
Jaxon was unaware of it but she was steadily changing thanks to living at the sanctuary. Her neutrality and naivety were being slowly washed away like sand on the beach, to be replaced by a more flowing thought, one that leaned inexorably towards the ideas of those she lived with.
Jax chuckled at Aura’s little joke, or at least what she thought was a joke. “Oh yea, I forgot…” She grinned back at the other girl, deciding ot to add the thought that Aura was lucky to not have that complication. But that would bring up another discussion about whether Aura’s sexuality actually was lucky; she would be doubly discriminated against in the real world.
Knowing she wasn’t fit to be any of the things Aura mentioned, Jax would have to figure out what she was. How her powers could be used. All she could think of was that her powers could hurt people, but that didn’t really mesh with her personality. “I have never understood jealousy, not the way people use it… I mean, if I want something I find out how to get it.”
In her research Jax had found that it wasn’t odd for adopted children to have trouble with similar things like trust and abandonment issues or an inability to connect and feel the same emotions in the same situation. Still, it made her feel almost like more of a ‘freak’ than her mutant powers did. But everyone had their problems around here so, maybe she wasn’t so different.
((OOC: if you want to end this soon or keep going let me know. I think we crammed a lot of stuff into this, Lol! and I am still having trouble with my computer so I am not on as much as I should be.))
"People want things because other people have them, so they run out and find something better or the same so they can show it off. It's some thing i try not to have in my life, though i do some times get jealous of the more peaceful stories i here from Mutants, Like my friend Kausmi, had two loving parents who care for her even knowing she is a mutant. Mine let me rot in a box, that peace most people understand and live with.....i often wonder if i am to far gone for life of the field of battle" she said to her friend, revealing something she had never mentioned before. "But the battle's keep the images in my head from becoming blinding me to reality, so i train and fight every day" she said unsure how to explain the images at all. She had no idea why the images came and went only that they did.
"Jealously is natural though just like any other emotion and it seems to be why people buy things." Aura said thinking to herself. She really needed to go shopping one of these days, most of what she owned was worn and trashed from countless fights int hem. Switching the subject she looked up when she spoke next. "Is it strange i can not recall my life before the cage, like my parents faces, my address or even my actual name and age, for some reason these things elude me and it bothers me greatly. " she said moving on, the missing information bothered her mostly because it was missing and Aura could not explain why, her memory simply seemed to get faded and tatterd as she tried to go further back, until quickly it was all just darkness.
