The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

ooc: haha i'm gonna keep this interesting! P>S Deathstar, you're doing a great job with this character! wow you play her well!
Ic: Raina tried one more time to break free from the ice without any luck. The air bubble was very quickly slipping away. She tried one more time to make a chant but nothing came out of her voice. She was shaking uncontrollably now... and everything she'd done untill that point was flashing in her head. Her energy was leaving her and before she knew it- she blacke dout with her hands still frozen to the bottom of the boat.
Raphael’s feet slowly plodded along, focused on his goal: getting to shore before running out of oxygen in his system. He hoped Raina had done as he said and immediately rowed to shore, and either way… he intended to have a word or two with Deathstar about trusting someone.
As he neared the shore, water becoming shallower, he was nearly regretting jumping overboard instead of trying to row the canoe back to shore. His lungs ached for fresh air and his legs burned from the effort he had expended getting to the shore. Walking beneath the waves was so much more difficult than walking on land. His head broke the surface and he gasped loud and long at the access to fresh air he sudden had. He paused in his walk, sucking in the air for a few long moments, oblivious to most of his surroundings, just glad to have air to breathe once more.
He continued his walk after a few moments of treasuring, pulling himself out of the water and letting himself fall on the shore for a brief break. It was then that he noticed the sound of the vehicle Deathstar had commandeered. Raphael sat up and stared blankly at the capsized canoe and Deathstar racing towards it. He let out a series of soft curses, hoping Raina was okay, while feeling completely helpless at his current position.
After a moment of no contact, Deathstar knew then it was a serious matter. She yelled for the new one but no response, Deathstar dived from the vehicle and into the lake, the water was dense and cloudy making it very hard to find anything beneath the surface. She swam around the capsized boat hoping to find her, but to her surprise she sees the woman struggling to break free from boat, as her hands are attached to boat with ice.
Deathstar swam toward the girl , not giving any eye contact for this was truly not her intent. She grabbed on the new girl's hand pulling trying to break it free but for some odd reason it wasn't budging. Deathstar swam up to the surface to get a breathe of oxygen, it was she notice a bronze bar with a blunt edge attached to the vehicle. Deathstar grabbed the bar and returned back to the girl under the boat, with all her might she thrust the object into the ice, since they were in water it was definitely a challenge trying to put her strength behind the bar but she was determined to save her.
After multiple tries Deathstar finally broke through and released the girls hand from the boat, shes swarm as fast as she could to get a breathe of air..awaiting for the girl to show face from under the surface.

everything happened so fast that Raine barely knew what was happening. A blunt object shatter the ice on her hands and they finally broke free but she could not feel them. The once graceful swimmer paddled to the surface like a limping dog and broke through taking a bone shattering breath. Her hair was no longer red, it was a glistening blue from over exerting herself. She weakily tried to swim but knew she had no energy. She looked around frightfully and saw Deathstar and met her eyes. She went to speak but nothing came out- she was drained. As she struggled to stay afloat she prayed the girl would understand and pull her in.
Deathstar held on the jet ski with one arm, and struggles with the other to grab a hold on the girl. With her speech staggering and slurred, she knew she was exhausted from trying to free herself, it was Deathstar's fault afterall and for that she felt terrible. Struggling to carry her own weight, she used every once of her might to the girl across the water vehicle. "Are you okay?", she asks while gasping for air. "Let me get you to shore", she turned around hitting the gas and speeding off toward the shore where Raph was laying.
Raphael watched the episode on the water unfold. There was little he could do but sit, or stand if his legs felt so inclined without the adrenaline to force them to support him, and watch. He could not go back out onto the water, as the two crafts readily available were currently either capsized or in use. He could not swim out there, the metal in his body made that next to impossible, the best he could do, as far as that went, would be to walk along the bottom of the lake and stare up at them while drowning himself. So, he watched Deathstar dive beneath the water and come back out a few long moments later with an unconscious, or nearly unconscious, Raina.
As Deathstar sped back across the lake with Raina ‘draped’ over the middle of the water craft, Raphael got up, even though his legs protested, and moved at a jog to where Deathstar and Raina impacted land. “Move Deathstar,” he muttered, and it came out a little angrily. He could tell the girl already felt bad about the state of Raina, but… he did not really care at the moment. He moved and lifted Raina gently from the watercraft, carrying her a few feet and laying her on the grass, bending to check her breathing, then her pulse. He found both to be fine, and figured she would be coming around shortly.
That settled, he stood again and looked at Deathstar. “What the hell was that about?”

Raina came too coughing and sputtering out water. She sat up breathing quite violently. Her hair was a brilliant blue- but as the colour came back to her cheeks it faded into a purple and then its' usual bright red. She was shaking and her lips were blue. She breathed on her hands trying to warm them- they were blue and bleeding in places and obviously causing her great pain.
When raph turned his attention to deathstar, Raine lept to her feet with all the energy she had left and bolted.
She was confused- and not unlike a deer in headlights. All she could think about was getting back to her bedroom... and that's where she was headed.
((continued in Raina's room... feel free to join!))
Deathstar got off the vehicle to help the new one, Deathstar was so much at fault she didn't speak a word. As Raina sat down to calm herself and to catch her breathe, Deathstar looked back up toward Raph. "Look!", she paused a moment to catch her breath, "This was a big misunderstanding and I!....I'm!...sorry!" Deathstar slowly shot the words out her mouth reluctantly wanting to apologize.
"you could of easily made the same mistake raph", she said toward Raph angered response. She watched as the new one walk back to her room obviously still in shock, Deathstar followed her not wanting to give off a bad impression of herself nor the mansion.
Raphael shook his head. “No, I wouldn’t have. Know why I wouldn’t have? I don’t jump to conclusions quite as fast as you do Deathstar. Learn a little bit of trust.” He would accept her apology when he found out if Raina were fine or not. She seemed shaken, a suitable thing to be, given that she had just had a brush with death as well. He let out a long sigh, watching Deathstar march after the fleeing Raina. After a moment he set out as well, choosing to take a different path through the mansion… one that kept him and his waterlogged clothing to the hard floors and away from carpets and rugs.
