The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((OOC: Last post in the thread, don't really see what else I can do here.))
Gabe nodded at the two new mutants. He thought he'd seen the girl around before, but couldn't be to sure. He gave them all a farewell wave, as he'd already been through the whole sign up process and tour.
"If there's ever anything I can do for you guys, lemme know. See you around."
Gabe turned around, and headed back into the mansion.
Well that was kind of strange... Ghost waved to Gabe's back as he walked away. "Guess he couldn't stick around to chat." She shrugged. At least she'd met him... kind of. She shook herself ruffling her shoulders in a curiously bird-like movement to clear the strangeness.
"Alright! Let's get you fixed up. How long would you like to stay, Mister Tythan?" The guy looked like he'd been on the road a while and could use a good rest. Hopefully no one was attacking the Mansion today and that would be possible. "We'll have you fill out a paper, it's nothing big just name, mutation and possible threat to our students. We like to keep a record of who stays and all that."
Ghost led the group to the front doors and after tugging them open led them through the grand entrance hall and into the administration area. She grabbed a file folder from Neena's office and handed it to Tythan. "Just return it to this office whenever you finish. You can stay for as long as you like, you don't have to pay anything we just ask that if something goes down outside you help defend this place."
Ghost then led them past the infirmary which she pointed out at the end of the hall and ups some stairs to the kitchen and living room area. "Kitchen, TV and living room are that way and the stairs here lead to the dorms... uh - how old are you, Tythan?" Ghost was horrible at gauging age so she'd stopped just guessing.

"Oh, uh, 16....So that's it, just fill this out and i can stay? No security or background checks or anything? Wow." Tythan glanced through the file, like Ghost had said, it really wasn't much. He mentally tried to create a map of this place, he never had been good with direction, but he had a pretty good memory. Something told him it might be a little...interesting getting lost here, "What about a place to practice, is there anywhere i could do that?"
