The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The sky was just starting to lose the saturation of the sunset, when Aeryn took the final few steps and stood before the tall gates. It had taken her ages to get here. A month, at least, of hitch-hiking, trailblazing, and roughing it to reach this point. It showed. Her jeans, which had been worn to begin with, were threatening to fall apart. Her shirt had assorted stains on it from mud, food, and a few other substances that are probably best left unsaid. Her red hair was uber frizzy, and there were dark circles under her eyes.
On the whole, Aeryn supposed she looked like a bush-woman, or a maenad from Ancient Greece. Self-consciously, she brushed some of the dust from her clothes, then took out a small, dog-eared slip of paper from her pocket. She held it up to the plaque on the wall beside the gate and compared the two.
"Okay, this is it. I'm here, Dad." she said, relief making her knees unreliable. She looked at the closed gate, and scratched her head. "Now what?"
Her Dad had said this was a place with people that could help her. But what kind of place was it? A hospital? Some sort of philanthropist mutant celebrity that took in unfortunates? Aeryn could feel apprehension building behind her ribs, and swallowed nervously.
The closed gates worried her. What if she went in, and wasn't allowed back outside? She'd already spent way too much time locked inside her own house against her will. She didn't want it to happen again. Taking a deep breath, she chided herself. You'll never know if you can get out, if you don't go in. Besides, where else can you go?
She had a point.
There was a small buzzer on the side of the gate, and Aeryn walked over to inspect it. Should she try and buzz? She bit her lower lip, and raised a finger to press the button, hesitated, took a deep breath, frowned, and finally pressed the button. She waited for a response.
*As always, Johnathon was working at security and paged Tricity from her room. She had just gotten dressed and began putting her hair up in a messy bun on the top of her head, a few of the long wet curls falling down as she wrapped the pen in it. She picked up the two-way radio.* "What's up, Johnny?" Johnathon: "Hey, Ms. Tipper. There's a raggedy woman at the gate." "A ragedy woman? What?" Johnathon: "Well, she looks a little beat up." "Did you look at the list? Am I supposed to be meeting with anyone wanting to live in the mansion today?" Johnathon: "I dunno...should I open the gate?" "NO! Of course not, geez John! I'll be down in a second." *After coming downstairs and looking at the screens in the security area, Tricity opened the doors and went across the lawn. She took in the woman at the gates and figured she wasn't there to cause trouble, but as always, Tricity took precautions.* "Hi. How can I help you?"
Aeryn regarded the woman with the messy bun with a wary eye. She didn't look like a warden, or a celebrity, but that was hardly anything to go by. Wondering how on Earth she was going to explain the circumstances that brought her here, she cleared her throat. "W-well, um, my name is Aeryn O'Dannahur." she started, feeling really stupid, but her Father had sent her here, and she took heart in that. "Uh." She looked around, the street was empty, but she shuffled a little closer to the gate, and whispered her next sentence. "I'm a mutant." she studied the woman's face carefully for any sign of anger, or disgust, ready to turn on her heels and flee if it was necessary.
*Tricity came a little closer and as the woman confessed that she was a mutant, she stood straight up again and nodded.* "Well, that makes two of us then. Your name is very beautiful. My name is Delilah Rose Tipper and I'm the Headmistress here at the school. Um, you needn't worry about saying you're a mutant here." *Tricity replied smiling.* "Are you looking for somewhere to stay?"

Kaine rose from the shadows next to Tricity "That makes three of us.Im Atticus Kaine a so called student here" Kaine lent closer to the girls and said "Even though im older than her im still a student whats up with that?" kaine patted the pockets of his combats "damn i left my ciggerettes in my jacket. So what brings you here?um sorry what was your name again?"
Aeryn started when another person seemingly formed himself out of the surrounding shadows. Yeah, she'd say he was definitely a mutant! She drew in a breath when he leaned close to her, but relaxed at his words. She even ventured a small smile, scratching her head. "Heh. I'm Aeryn O'Dannahur." she wondered how often she was going to be repeating her name today. "I'm here 'cause my Dad gave me a little slip of paper with your address. Yeah, I'm looking for a place to stay." She held up the slip of paper in question, and held it through the bars, so they could see. "I was, uh, forced to leave my home, and this was really the only place I could think of going to, considering the circumstances." Inwardly, Aeryn was beginning to hope that she could stay here. Both of these people were pretty dang nice. She hoped whoever else was here followed suit.
*Tricity looked over at Kaine and smiled.* "You aren't a student if you aren't taking classes..." *She nudged him in the side.* "And you shouldn't be smoking anyway." *Tricity turned back to Aeryn, but a sudden intrusion told her Xavier had entered her head. After a few moments of inner thoughts being exchanged, Charles informed her that Aeryn was here with good intentions and had had a tough trip getting here. Tricity returned to the visitor and smiled.* "You're welcome here, Aeryn. Um, I need to do a brief interview with you to talk about your powers and a few other things." *Tricity took her radio out and informed Johnathon to open the gates. As they opened, she ushered Aeryn inside the grounds.* "Come on in..."

"Hey" kaine said as tricity elbowed him " Why cant I smoke?please say i can drink? I cant smoke but your doctor can hand out horse tranquiliser." Kaine looked at her as she radio the secuerity guard. "so tricity have you got a bloke in your life?" Kaine turned to aeryn and said "Dont worry about the interview nothing to worry about it piece of piss. I had mine about 2 hours ago" Kaine laughed "im as new here as you are"
Aeryn was startled by the sudden decision, but pleased. Relief flooded her, and she felt quiet a few muscles melt. She wasn't about to allow herself to faint, and sternly put her knees in line, walking through the gate, and getting a much more panoramic view of the grounds. The place was huge!
Kaine's confession made Aeryn grin. She had been worried about the prospect of an interview. Also, that fact that Kaine was so laid-back, even flirting with Tricity, after being here for only two hours was really reassuring. She fell into step behind the two, looking at how tall the trees were. She wondered if she was going to need to show her powers, and voiced her question out loud to Tricity. If she did have to show them, she was going to need sand.
*Tricity shook her head at Kaine, smirking, indicating now wasn't the time for that question.* "Yea actually, I do need to ask about your powers. What exactly is your mutation? Is it a danger to you and possibly others?" *She lead them across the grass, toward the doors.* "We have to ask for...well, obvious reasons. There are a lot of people living here."

Kaine joked "Say yes they lock you in the basement. No not really, I had to say yes to that question, well when i sleep my powers go a litle bit hay wire. So tricity when would be a godd time to ask that question maybe over dinner?"
*Tricity rolled her eyes and stood in front of him abruptly, smiling at Aeryn and continuing the interview. She wasn't taller than him and frankly, Kaine could look down at the top of her head, but Tricity did it jokingly as if to ignore him.* "SO, continue..." *Aeryn explained her powers, being the use of sand. Tricity was very intrigued, as she never met anyone with such an ability. She decided the powers weren't threatening at all and radioed Johnathon to come give Aeryn a tour. He came bouncing down the stairs, smiling brightly at the thought of another female he would be able to flirt with. Tricity gave him a look and he immediately toned it down. After they walked away to the mansion, she turned around to face Kaine.* "Yes I have a boyfriend...and well, our relationship is a bit complicated."

"So How are things complicated or dont you want to talk about it you must thing im a right jack the lad ive been here 2 hours and im allready flirting with you." Kaine walked to his bike and leant against it "So what is the policie on smoking in the school"
"He's always on the move. I don't see much of him. He stays for a while and then picks up and leaves for a while." *She crossed her arms over her chest.* "It's just how he is..." *Her face washed over with sadness for a few moments, but she looked back up at Kaine and smiled.* "WELL anyway, we don't permit smoking in the school as you can imagine there are kids here. You can smoke in your room, on the terraces and porches, by the outside pool... just not inside, ok?"
