The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Arielle stood and watched as Leila ran off bawling. If she were an anime character, a huge sweat drop would have appeared on the side of her head. Was Leila really that upset that Sam accompanied Ghost instead of her? It wasn't like the guy was cheating on her or anything. The brazilian merely let out a sigh and watched as Shin went to inform Sam of the situation, who went immediately to see Leila.
"Good luck..." she muttered to herself and smiled as Shin had brought her back a sandwcich. "Thank you, Shin." she said accepting the sandwich. Then her eyes diverted over to Ghost, sitting alone at the table. She looked a bit lonely and an idea came to her mind.
"Shin, why don't you go keep Ghost company until Sam comes back?" Arielle said. "If he comes back" she added in the mind. "Really, I'll be okay. I'll go mingle with some other people. Or watch a Mutant version of Maury Povich go down between flipper and jack frost." she laughed a bit. "See ya soon..." she pinched Shin's cheek and wondered off into the crowd, eating her sandwich along the way. Finding herself outside again, Arielle looked over and saw Sam and Leila.
"Whoa. She looks hella pissed..." Arielle said and then she noticed the third person. Aura. Why was she out here? The same question could be applied to Arielle herself, but her excuse was that she was just nosy. Who knows why the little brat decided to come outside. Would she try to hurt Sam and Leila? No, what would be stupid considering how strong Sam was, and even though she had never seen Leila fight, she assumed she was not a push over either. Arielle melted into a puddle of water and stealthily flowed over closer to the trio so she could hear everything that would be said.
Isabel didn't care at all for all the camera flashes and the questions and shouts for attention that were all jumbled into a sort of hum and buzz of nothing but noise. It was almost enough to make her a little dizzy, causing her to fret over her balance and worry about tripping, even if the heels on her shoes were only small ones. She just wanted to get past all the idiots with note pads and microphones and inside the building. She knew some of her Order friends were attending this party and she would feel more at ease once she was around some of them. Plus, if they were behaving, there was a higher chance that she'd be able to keep herself in check, which would at the same time make dealing with and winning the current bet a little easier.
Bacchus, however, seemed to have another agenda. With his first comment about her looking nice just for him she simply rolled her eyes and continued on her way. She was growing used to his little remarks with whatever little time she spent with him around the Sanctuary. What she still couldn't seem to wrap her head around was his sneak attacks directed at her. Like his little show with yet another stolen kiss. It was the same trick he'd pulled the day she'd met him, after their first contest. Apparently he hadn't wanted to wait until the game was over this time. She could do very little but to go with the motion when she felt her hand grabbed and he body pulled back toward him. The photographers would be catching no look of affection from her. The most they'd get would be a look of shock with a hint of murderous intent mixed in. The minute the contact between their lips was severed, she quickly backed off a few steps, glaring daggers at him as she did so. She couldn't stab him. The contest rules said so. It wouldn't really do her any good anyhow. She already hated the bet, and she shuddered to think what her companions would be saying if that picture actually did end up in the paper.
Silently she seethed as he went and made a show of opening the door. She made just as much of a show out of wiping the back of her hand over her mouth before advancing toward the entrance way. Before she passed over the threshold, she took hold of one of the lapels on his tuxedo jacket and yanked it downward, attempting to bring his face a little closer to her own. "Stabbing isn't the only way to kill someone. Try it again and you'll be lucky if you ever wake up and read that article," she threatened raising her voice only enough so that she'd be heard by him. Releasing his jacket, she turned away from him and disappeared through the door.
Almost immediately after she'd taken a few steps inside, the lights were dimmed and a small group of individuals started to put on a sort of concert for the room. Isabel could not see in the dark, and there were far too many people inside for her to have any easy time locating her companions. Momentarily uncertain of what to do now that she'd made it past the media and into the actual party, she paused and reached a hand back to take hold of the hem of Bacchus' jacket sleeve. She was positively not doing so because she felt any kind of attachment to the idiot. She just didn't want to end up by herself in the middle of all these people. There were humans and X-Nerds here, after all. If she was by herself, there really was no telling if she'd be able to properly behave. Plus, she'd rather be with friends than by herself. Even Bacchus was preferable to the groups of people she didn't know and didn't like. Not that she'd ever admit such a thing. "Let's find some people we know," she said, pulling her companion's sleeve to get him closer so she could make sure he could hear her over the music. "I don't need to be stuck with you and your tricks all night," she added, quirking an eyebrow at him as she spoke.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
The lights dimmed and Ghost's attention was diverted from introspection to a very interesting light show that erupted into a live band. She wasn't quite sure how it happened, but she was sucked into the show even if it wasn't her typical music choice. They were so high energy and burning with the passion of youth that it was practically mesmerizing.
She didn't even notice a certain Sanctuary resident in top hat and fine threads approaching her desolate table until he was already there. Sebastian stepped between the band and Ghost's eyes effectively cutting off her fascination. She blinked a few times and looked up. Her mouth formed a surprised "o" shape. What was it with these mutants and old fashioned clothes? Well, she was guilty too, but not as guilty as Sebastian or Kaz.
“Good evening.” "Good evening, Sir."
She just couldn't help it. As much fun as she was having moping, it was just too cute to see a real live gentleman tip his hat to her. She smiled at the healer and kindred gentle soul. "Here to save me again, Mister Sebastian?" Her table was out in the boonies and so the music wasn't too loud. She hardly had to raise her voice to be heard. She stood to offer him a chair or a handshake or something.
The moment Pluto stepped out of the car he was attacked by birds. Or rather it sounded like a group of seagulls of vultures made of light were attacking him. In reality it was just the media going nuts over another "masked defender of justice." Hoo boy were they wrong!
Lori accepted the hand that Pluto extended to her and smiled for the crowd temporarily dazzled. Every picture they took would be a nail in Pluto's coffin. Yes, revenge. There would be repercussions for this act. Unfortunately she couldn't plot any of those now because Sailor Venus wouldn't brood. She summoned her inner cheerleader and posed enthusiastically. For the most part she ignored the questions as if she were deaf, but there were a few that were hard to ignore.
"Is this a statement of some kind?" "Of course it's a statement! <3" The spunk and purity in her voice made her want to hurt herself. "We want to show everyone that injustice can be overcome with love!" It was the sort of drivel that she'd heard from the X-men and it was probably think stuff the media would just eat up.
"Are you a vigilante?" "Oh no! I wouldn't go out like this normally, you know!"
"Do you fight crime?" "Crime fighting is for policemen. We spread love and peace in the name of the moon! What? No, we're not starting a religion, why?"
Ah but Pluto seemed to have the presence of mind to drag Lori away from the media and into the party proper with a promise to match her drink for drink. Why was he grinning so much? Oh yes, she was in a skimpy sailor outfit and the media was eating it up.
At least it looked to be a pretty rocking party. Celebs, dressy stiffs, and mutants galore. "Poor Tuxedo Mask had to had to blackmail a date into coming with him him. How sad." She grinned up at him for a moment before something peculiar caught her eye. "Oh! And you have a clone here that isn't red! I'll go get some drinks. Feel free to mingle, dear, I'll come find you after I greet the other Tuxedo."
Her heels clicked against the dance floor as she pushed through people to the Tuxedo mask that was standing all alone. "Wow are you fighting evil by moonlight too?" She flounced in her tiny skirt in a way that Lori never would. No one must know and if that meant she had to play cheerleader to throw off the scent so be it.

Kasumi looks over at Peter as she smiles "Ok you be the tree and I will be the leaves?" she soon takes his hand softly. She looks over her shoulders as she smiles him "Do not worrie I will keep all of the bad people away form you." All of the years of dancing her mom and dad made her took is about to pay off.
At the least she can look graceful in this dress that her mom had to send her. Kasumi would of were something other then this yet she did not want to brake her mothers heart. Her mother loved Kasumis spots and she wanted her little girl to have one night of showing them off. For Kasumi to be herself to be happy in her own skin to show off her trow self.
Not just prats like her mother says. People needs to see Kasumi for all of her not just for peaves of her. Kasumi is starting to get that now. She is happy that she is at last getting use to showing her spots off around people she will not get attacked this night. Flashs are going off eveywere she stops as she looks at the band on stage as she smiles more "Oh this going to be better then I have ever thought.." kasumi whipers to herself.
Aura nodded to Leila, she was glad she was ok and then she saw Same come out of the building, she made no moves like she might normally. She figured Leila could take care of herself and soi she stood up quietly, walking back torward the building glancing back a few times. The Look in Sam's eyes had told her he wanted to be alone with leila and Leila had stated as much. Quickly reentering the building she went back, looking for the same snack table she had been at before hoping nunally would still be thare. She was worried about Leila but what could she really do without beng able to just stab sam. Grabbing a glass of whine off of a tray Aura began to drink from it, despite being several years underage.
Aura stretched her back a bit as she looked around for somwhare else to explore, trying to figure out who was human and who was mutant just based on looks. She would rather avoid humans if at all possible. Running a hand down one of her hair ribbens she over looked the food they had available curiously considering weather or not to eat quite yet.

The air around them was stifling, a lot of things wanted to come out of his mouth all at once but he kept quiet till Aura left, he didn’t know why the girl was here nor did he care right now this was about Leila and him. He was staring at Leila hiding most of the emotion behind his ice, which quickly shattered to reveal himself in his ‘Bond’ suit.
The makeup streaking down her face showed that she was crying, frankly even though the love of his life was crying as much as she had he wasn’t too worried. He knew why she was crying and he thought it wasn’t a good enough reason for it. He kept eye contact with her and didn’t budge, “Do honestly think I am the type of guy to cheat on you?” he paused for a second to let the words sink in, “Ghost is a friend nothing more, she is not even my type…” Sam was now glaring right back at her.
He never heard her take the tone she had taken with him seconds ago and the way she said his name sent a chill down his spine, but of course in this intense situation Sam kept his composure and didn’t change his face, “No, I don’t think I would Leila Heart! I was going to try and explain myself to you and tell you why, I took Ghost to this Valentine’s Ball instead of you!” he paused then continued now slightly yelling at his girl friend, “I brought Ghost cause her and her boyfriend just had a pretty split! I brought her so she wouldn’t be so upset on Valentine day, the day your supposed to spend with the one you love! I also knew that you were going to show at this ball and once Ghost found some friends I was going to come find you, but instead I had to leave her by herself at a table because of your big dramatic exit!”
Feeling bad that he was now yelling at Leila, Sam pulled a handkerchief of cloth and gave it to her so she could wipe her face, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before… and I am sorry I snapped at you.” He paused and then sat down a foot away from her on the grass, “You have to trust me more, it’s not like I am going to wander…you're the only girl for me.”
The puddle formerly known as Arielle Monteiro had flowed it's way in a close enough distance to hear and not be noticed. Aura had left just as Leila and Sam had asked her too. Bummer. She was hoping the Orderling would attack so another brawl would ensue. Even as Aura passed by Arielle fought the urge to attack, but of course a lady shouldn't go around starting fights.
The raised volume of Sam's voice caught her attention again as he pretty much snapped and told the other blonde off. He was accompanying Ghost so she wouldn't be alone after a break up? She believed that was very sweet of Sam, but when he offered his handkerchief and spoke his last few words. Well, if puddles could shed a tear, Arielle would be doing just that. It was hella cheezy, but you can't have love with out being mushy. She knew that first hand from Aiden. Now, what would Leila's reaction be? Would she rush into the arms of her love, or would she beat the hell outta him for speaking to her in that kind of tone? Find out next on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Leila rolled her eyes, "That's not why I'm angry Sam. Of course I know you aren't going to cheat on me... But still, you chose Valentine's day to bring your friend to a ball?" she yelled at him, "I'm not sure if you know this, but too some girls, especially when they are in relationships like ours, Valentine's day means a lot." she was moving in on him now, feeling a lot of adrenaline pump in her system. His ice had shattered too, a little closer and she would be near enough to punch him...
She breathed in and out as he explained why he had taken her, somehow she was even angrier then before... Though, this time slightly more at herself then anyone else. "You could of explained that too me before the party." she spat, "Do you really have any idea how that made me feel? Knowing you weren't coming with me here tonight, knowing that you were with someone else... I know you didn't mean any harm, but it really did upset me!" she wasn't yelling anymore, but she really hoped he knew how hurt she felt.
Leila's heart was beating fast in her throat as she took the handkerchief, wiping her face lightly. She really would need to get too a mirror if ever she felt like going to the party again, which right now, she didn't. She stood there, her arms still crossed as Sam sat on te grass... What should she say? Just forgive him and let him go back to Ghost and cheer her up? Lrila sighed, putting her hands at her head to ease the pain that was slowly setting.
At least he apologized... Right? "I'm sorry too," she whispered finally, "I'm sorry I yelled at you like that...I do trust you..." she drifted off, her voice breaking again. Tears formed in her eyes, but she managed to keep them from coming out. Instead, she came over and sat beside him, hugging him tightly. "I'm still pissed off at you," she said, kissing him softly on the lips.
Sara found her feet and steadied herself as Abyss had held her at arms length. Air re entering her lungs. Wow being picked up and squeezed by Abyss was um…. Yeah…
It shouldn’t of been surprising that Amp and Isabel didn’t talk much about the camps. They were hell and Sara knew a lot of the things that happened to the girls there, just weren’t shared. Even when people knew what was going on, you still kept things bottled up. “The camps were hell” Sara said simply.
“ No, You stood with us when we needed you, Visit or not, your efforts were not wasted on me. You are of course welcome back anytime you like.”
“Obviously it wasn’t enough to stop what was going on. I may take you up on that offer some time.” Sara smiled though Leila and Sam crossing the room caught the attention. Her head tilted, but she didn’t know enough of the story nor did she feel it was her place to follow.
“ I didn’t squish you too much did I?”
Her attention was drawn right back to Abyss and she shook her head. “If you did, I heal.” Something she hadn’t exactly said to anyone in the Order before, but they probably saw it during the fight a year ago.
“At least the music is decent.” Sara said as she began leading thw way up the stairs to the balcony. At the top, Sara made continued leading her way to the railing where she found a little Kat and Koga. Now that was sort of cute. Sara thought as she came up behind Katrina. “Who’s this?”
How has she been was a question that was never asked to her before. In fact she never met the same people twice in the labyrinth that was the sanctuary. She tilted her head a bit to the left. "Lost." She replied simply. She has been that for a while since she didn't know where she was or what she was doing though she didn't mind.
“ May, open it?”
"Uhu." She said as she nodded hard as if her head was about to fall of. It twisted her mask a bit and she had to correct it and thus the heavy breathing returned. She hoped he was happy with the book though she had no clue if he could read or not.

OOC: .............(words)............... is my way of telling cadaver's thoughts. i think u misread. its np though i played on it.
Cadaver smiled as they walked onto the dance floor while some mutant rebel band played. He swayed to the music. some lyrics that meant nothing to him. but it sounded good. Thats all that mattered
..............now these are my kind of tunes. some rock up in this bitch. i respect a group who got some flare ............
The lead guitars hands flared. yellow lightning flung from his hands and onto the strings. it was majestic, fantastic, a mutant light show. A solo to rival the classics.... then the guitar broke.
............ha he rocked it too hard.
"Do u read minds Kasumi? Or am i really that much of an open book?"
"Anyone want another song?" the lead singer yelled out after the first set was done.
At the top of his voice Cadaver screamed "Hell Yeah! and make it Danceable!"
He turned to his dance partner. "i hope u can dance."
..............alright corrosive revolution. make this a good one and ill buy your cd.............

Shawn knew that there was a party going on. It was well publicized and it seemed like you couldn't get away from the advertisements. He knew full well what his guys were doing but it was mostly curiosity and being nosey that he found out what they were doing. He wasn't going to get involved, he was just wanted to know the game plan in case something went wrong later on they could look back and hopefully avoid the problem. Even with whatever was happening, he decided to go to this party. The last time he'd partied things didn't go to well. Although that wasn't exactly his, or any of the X-Men's fault. But now wasn't the time to dwell over who was at fault for the crashing of the party.
Streak had looked for a while since he knew that it was well known that mutants and high roller humans would be there, he needed to look slick. Things turned out well when he finally found a suit that fit him very well. Before getting out of his car he made sure that he looked good. There were plenty of camera's around that would make his human face known. As long as he didn't have to use his powers he would be safe for now. And if he was safe the mansion would be safer also. He climbed out of his car and walked through the throng of camera's taking plenty of picuters. Sure they didn't know him but if he was walking down the carpet towards the inside of the building then he must have been someone of importance. His silver eyes were shaded from the flashes of the camera's with his sunglasses. Even though it was getting dark he was sure that someone would pick up on the reflectiveness of his eyes compared to everyone else when they developed the photos.
It took a while and many "No comments." before he was in the building and for the first time seeing the massive ammount of people that had already arrived. "How am I going to find my friends in this place?" He wondered aloud as he pressed himself through the crowds. He knew they were going to be here, he just wasn't sure where they were. Finally he made his way up stairs and was able to climb up to the second floor. Once up there he looked around the tables, and railings and every other place that he could see from the second floor. The view was much better up here but he still didn't see anyone. If he was going to find someone they would probably have to find him first.

“Oh, okay.” Shin replied to Arielle, a little disappointed. Here he was, ready to dance with her, and then she skittered off towards the exit. Disheartening… but then the lights drew low and the music started. Everything got a little bit better. Was that…?
“Hey, I know that guy!” Shin pointed him out to Hymn, but she seemed distracted. Shrugging, he enjoyed the music. From his placement in the room, he had to strain a little to catch the lyrics. Still, dang that was a rocking beat. The drummer seemed a little off at times, and the guitar seemed unable to handle the guitarist’s vigorous wrath. Were those frets on fire? Holy…
“Whoa…” The song ended and the music stopped for a bit, letting the lights snap back on and the party resume. A blonde-haired girl in an outfit a lesser otaku would have nosebled to, approached him, asking if he was fighting evil by moonlight too. Shin tilted his head giving her a look of vague interest and confusion.
“Sure. If, by evil you mean energy thieves and people who dip twice. That’s some costume you’ve got there.” He slipped the tray of sandwiches off to a passing waiter casually. He figured, if it weren’t for the mask he might have looked like a waiter himself, carrying those foodstuffs. The thought struck him only after he’d passed it off. He could have offered her a bite. Raising his Mardis Gras tuxedo mask, he struck a quick disco-styling pose, hand thrust out towards the band. Then he quickly drew the pose back in, looking around like he hoped nobody saw that and scratching the back of his head.
“So, introductions right? My name’s Shin. And you?” He glanced over at the hulking red Tuxedo mask looming in the crowd behind her. “…” Were there more than one Mr. Valentines? “Who’s he?”
As Leila and Sam were occupied in a kiss, Arielle resumed her human state and let out an awe. It was such a sweet tender moment. Something straight out of a soap opera. Still, a little fight could have broken out or something for entertainment so she'd have something to gossip about. Shrugging, she turned away and headed back inside of the ball in search of her date for that night, only to find him paired up with...Sailor Venus?
"And I thought I was going a bit over board with my tiara..." Arielle sighed to herself and chuckled at Shin and the strange blonde. Seriously, did they thing this was a cosplay convention? Thinking it would be best to let Shin have his fun, Ari scanned around the room for another person to mingle with. She made another quick stop by the refreshment table to grab another finger sandwich and she began to explore more of the party and in doing so, she found herself walking up the steps to the second floor. Perhaps it'd just be better if she just chilled, looking out over the ball. Maybe find some other interesting people to laugh at besides sailor suited soldiers of love and justice.
"Well, well well. Look who's looking all suave tonight. That silver suit is hot." Arielle chuckled as she spotted Streak and walked up next to him. "Nice shades. What are you doing up here all by yourself?" she asked and took another bite of her sandwich.
