The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sam yawned as he walked out of his room fully dressed in his casual black shirt and his baggy jeans. He walked down to Raina’s birthday party and figured he might as well help out, be a good time as any to catch up with her seeing as he has only seen her once or twice around the mansion and of those times he hasn’t really got into a full conversation with her.
Sam entered the room and looked around he spotted two faces right off the bat that he knew, one was Streak and the other was Garret who he hadn’t really talked to much seeing as the last time they were together in close quarters Sam ended up knocking out him out which he still wanted to apologize for but never had a good opportunity for. Plus Sam was afraid that Garret was one to hold a grudge and decided to wait it out before he said anything to him.
Sam walked over to Streak and then saw three others, Sara who he had met several times before, Raina and some other guy. He then spotted Luna a girl he showed around the mansion in a dress, he waved to every one and said, “Hey all figure I would come to help. And here.” Sam handed Raina a small box that was wrapped in a ribbon he made of ice and figured she would get a kick out of it. Inside the box was two gifts, one was he got on the net it was a signed authentic guitar pick from Jimmy Hendrix, if she didn’t like that one he figured she would like the gift card in the box, which had a five hundred limit on it to a guitar store in New York city. He knew it was a little much for a gift but what the hell what else was he gonna do with his money?
Sam then walked over to Sara as he looked at her with a confused look, “What you doing here kitty?” he put a grin on his face as looked at her knowing full well she was the independent type which why was she here? Maybe she was just here to be a well-wisher for Raina, or maybe she was here regarding the little incident regarding a certain stolen wallet that he got back only after throwing around his powers.
Sara had done the mission. She’d dropped off the gift and was on her way, back out, when Luke saw her. For being blink he certainly was annoyingly observant.
"Hey Sara... nice to see you again. You doing all right?"
Sara stopped as Luke Jogged across the room to her. She returned the smile, with closed lips, so as not to flash sharp teeth, wondering if his sonar picked up on the expression. “I’ve been doing fine. Pretty much surviving, How have you been?” Sara asked cordially, despite Luke having ruined her heist and being an annoyance, the last time they met. Now there was an odd relationship to explain. Then the next person to walk in the room was an even odder one.
“What you doing here kitty?”
Ice manipulator wannabe hero with a willingness to cage innocents when his pocket gets picked. “Just dropping off a gift.” Sara returned Sam’s smile with another closed lipsed one of her own. “I can’t stay long though.” As it was, the feeling of being out of place was making Sara’s stomach tighten.

Raina saw Sam come in and she went to greet him. "Hey! I met a new mutant today, Leila, I think she said she met you. She's going to be coming tonight." Raina grinned. She saw the box he handed her and laughed at the ice. "Oh aren't you the funny one. Thanks, you didn't have to give me anything." she leaned over and gave him a friendly you-just-gave-me-a-gift peck on the cheek and side hug. "I'm going to put it with the rest, I wont open them until tonight."
As she turned to place it with the gifts she noticed one there that hadn't been there before (Saras Gift) she turned around confirming what she thought when she saw Sam approach Sara. She strode over where Sam, Sara and Luke were standing. "Hi everyone." she said darting her eyelashes toward Luke and blushing a little looking away hoping no one would notice. She was trying to keep things some-what private here but it didn't take a genious to notice the incredible amount of energy buliding up between them.
"I'm happy you could stop by Sara" she knew her friend likely wouldnt stay, and coming at all was a big step for Sara. "It means a lot, even if it's a quick hello." she reached across to give her a hug.

"I've been doing fine Sara." Luke replied with a smile. It was obvious the kitty wasn't planning on sticking around so as the other two came up to talk to her the blind man nodded cordially as then slowly stepped away. Walking over towards the vegetables that Raina had been working with he took over where she had left off. For someone used to cooking vegetables were an easy thing to handle. He could peel, slice, or chop as necessary and he was even pretty good at just organizing the vegetables on a tray.
"Just stick to helping out and hopefully I can keep from embaressing Raina." He thought to himself. So far it had seemed like the mermaid didn't want their relationship to be obvious but eventually they both knew it would come out. "We'll deal with it then and not before."
“That’s goo-d.” Sara sensed Raina’s approach now and when she turned, she thought she saw an unusual pattern in Raina’s normal behavior. Sara shifted her eyes to follow Raina’s darting eye lashes. Luke? One furry eye brow raised.
"I'm happy you could stop by Sara. It means a lot, even if it's a quick hello."
Sara returned the hug. Feeling awkward with the embrace. Hugs always felt awkward. Even at first with Ayesac. It was an odd sort of welcomed invasion into Sara’s personal space that only recently stopped triggering her claustrophobia. She was slowly getting use to them. Sara wanted to say that she liked them. She liked what they meant. “I really need to stop by more often. I cant stay today, though.” She pulled away. The tip of her tail flicked.
“Happy Birthday Raina.” Sara said letting the corners of her mouth turn up as she bid her friend bye, for the day. “I hope the party is good.”
Sara didn’t belong here, she had to leave, But she’d be seeing Luke soon. Sara began to head for the door again, then out.
