The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vibe felt like termite in a termite tower when she arrived at the training grounds. The place was huge! While she was growing a bit more confident without her sister lately, the cavern still made her feel uneasy. Seeing the ruins of what looked to have once been a Camelot-type castle, just added to it. She reached up and touched her necklace, the one Doc J (Gearhead) had altered for her. It allowed the mute girl to speak in a voice like Amp. It was like having her sister with her, and gave her just a bit of comfort.
She was dropped off one side of the ruins, the East Side. She could see a hedge or garden of some sort in the distance to one side. She didn't see anyone else yet, so she just stood where she was. Idly she took out the note she'd found in her room, requesting her to come train.
Remember that the main goal of this training is to prepare us to free the mutants in the camps as soon as possible. In order to do that, we need to learn to trust each other. We can’t beat the Stalkers unless we know how to work together. No single group is strong enough to take them out on their own, but together we will find a way. This exercise requires that we work together with new people in order to learn to trust them and to work as a team.
The goal is to work as a team to find Katrina and bring her safely back to your team’s starting base. The entire team must reach the finish together and no one can be left behind. There will be no use of powers and no weapons. Anyone that has powers that cannot be turned off will have a handicap that compensates for that power.
This training session will challenge your intellect, problem solving skills, physical abilities, agility, and above all the ability to work together with teammates.
Signed, Kaz
Vibe frowned. The only team she was used to working with was her sister, and the other Order members, to a small extent. She didn't know who'd she'd be training with with now, either. If it was going to help get Amp out of the camps, she would do it. But that didn't mean she had to like it. Especially new people. She hated new people.
And why no powers? She frowned at the gloves and earplugs she'd been given. They were going to be using powers in the field, so why not here? And why did she have to have a handicap?
With a huff she crossed her arms and began tapping her foot. Where was everyone.
Vibe was not going to be an easy teammate to deal with today.
Voltaire walked into the eastern section of the complex. He was suited up in his new scubasuit looking suit. It was to suppress his powers. He didn't feel very comfortable in it so he put on his green cargo pants and his black army boots. He had the suit all zipped up till his chin. He picked up a pair of strap on glasses too, just in case he had to protect his eyes in case of a malfunction in his suit. He worn the glasses on his forehead to keep his hair backwards.
As he walked around the corner he saw a young woman with copper colored, hair already present at the arranged meeting spot. He took his distance from the woman and said: "Hello, You must be Vibe." "I am Voltaire, nice to meet you." He continued. He was afraid to approach her because of his powers and he still hadn't fully adapted to wearing his new suit.

(OOC: We're still working on how to handicap Shogun, so I won't be dropping in until it's been figured out. And I thought complicated powers were fun lol)
Kitra had got there a bit earlier then everyone else and had been standing in the shadows. She moved out of them slowly so not to freak Voltaire or Vibe out. "Hi Vibe, hello Voltaire. Ready to start training?" Kitra looked around her a bit more in awe. "This place is huge." She laughed slightly, "It makes me feel tiny, really tiny." She frowned, "I think we're missing Shogun. I'm pretty sure his powers are rather hard to handicap."
*Shogun, do you want us to wait for you, or should we go into the maze? Pm one of us to let us know please*

OOC: It's being sorted, so shogun should be arriving shortly. It should be done within a day or two, and if not, then I'll throw Shogun in regardless lol
Still frowning, Vibe turned when someone new approached. She hadn't yet run across him. Any other time she might have spent a few moments deciding whether or not he was cute enough to pursue. But she was already in a foul mood, and not up for it.
"Hello, You must be Vibe. I am Voltaire, nice to meet you."
She gave him a once over look with her eyes, not moving or speaking.
The person who'd been hiding in the shadows when she arrived came forward.
"Hi Vibe, hello Voltaire. Ready to start training?"
Vibe merely grunted. She wasn't thrilled to be paired with the artist, despite the woman's efforts to befriend her earlier.
Kitra looked around her a bit more in awe. "This place is huge. It makes me feel tiny, really tiny. I think we're missing Shogun. I'm pretty sure his powers are rather hard to handicap."
Great. The Samurai. Wonderful....
"Whatever." Vibe spoke out loud through her new 'voice'. It mimicked her sister's almost identically. However, she hadn't had much practice with the device yet, and forgot to move her mouth along with the words, giving away the fact that she wasn't actually talking.
She walked over and sat on a rock, waiting for Shogun to show up, still frowning.

(OOC: and show up he does!)
Shogun walked towrds his new team. He had recently had Gearhead create a device to 'handicap' him. Joy. He also wasn't allowed to use his pulses, and ironically, he felt blind without them. The handicap was a new helmet, which looked exactly like his old one, but it had a huge amount of psyite lining the edges of it. This proved to be a great distraction, and Shogun was not impressed. But it would serve as a good training aide later, if he was allowed to keep it.
He could only sense up to about ten metres in front of him, and so he had no idea of the scale of the place. "Greetings. Sorry for my lateness, but Doctor J (OOC:I'm assuming Gearhead told him to use that name, since that's what you know her by) only recently constructed this. It means that I cannot see more than that hedge," He pointed over towards a hedge that was about ten metres away and that he could only just see, "And I can only see the living." Oh boy, was this going to be fun. The unknown girl from the meeting certainly seemed to share his attitude.
Kitra was slightly startled to hear Vibe speak. "That's cool Vibe." She turned as Shogun walked up and said his greetings. "Hello Shogun." She turned to the enitre group, "Well, since we're all here, shall we press on?"
Two more people joined the room. A woman with long hair and a happy attitude it seemed and a Samurai straight from a movie. He still found it weird that there where people like him. As he noted he couldn't see very far anymore, he noticed his helm. "Must not be easy to see anything at all with that bucket on your head." He said hoping to find out how serious he was about the whole samurai thing. He crossed his arms and leaned at the wall waiting for a reply.
"Well, since we're all here, shall we press on?"
Voltaire pushed himself on his feet. He nodded in a sense of agrement to her idea. He did note that she hadn't introduced herself but, he would not say anything about it so people won't start distrusting him. He started putting his glasses in the right position to keep his hair back and said : "I'm ready, what about the rest."
Vibe glanced up as Shogun arrived. She took small comfort in the fact that she wasn't the only one with a handicap.
"Greetings. Sorry for my lateness, but Doctor J only recently constructed this. It means that I cannot see more than that hedge. And I can only see the living."
"Hello Shogun." She turned to the enitre group, "Well, since we're all here, shall we press on?"
"I'm ready, what about the rest."
Vibe moaned and pushed herself to her feet. "Fine, whatever. Can we just get this over with already? I've got more important things to do than play games with some bored kid."
She wasn't even sure she was going to play by the rules, but she put on the gloves and earplugs to start with. She ignored the hedge maze and headed for the nearest crumbled wall. She wasn't going to spend time navigating a maze like a rat, instead going right for the building.

Shogun gave a nod to Kitra, and spoke to Voltaire. "Perhaps it must not be easy to see anything at all because I am blind?" Leaving it at that, he followed after the girl, whom he noted had put something in her ear. He also noted that she didn't actually speak, but when she moved the ripples went to her necklace, and the sound came. He pushed the information to the back of his mind, and by using information from the girl's mind, he was able to clear the wall after her. he turned back to Kitra and Voltaire, "Will you be joining us? I don't think she is likely to stop any time soon."

Another black van pulled up in a hurry and skidded to a halt. One of the men in the front rolled down the window and called out to those who were within ear shot. "We have one more to add to your team."
That being said the side door slid open and Ali stepped out. She first looked around and took in the vastness of their selected trainging site. How she wished she could light things up a bit more. It was really dark and the air was stale. Ali then turned her attention to the people she had been placed with. She recognized them from the meeting with Hunter but she was told there were four others and not three. Someone was missing.
"Looks like I'm with you guys. So I guess we should get started? Just one question though. Isn't someone missing?"

From the other side of the wall Vibe heard a new voice approach, but with the earplugs in she couldn't get a clear identity. So she popped her head back up over the wall. Seeing Ali, her face scrunched in annoyance.
"Great," she remarked sarcastically. "This game just keeps getting better and better. Can we move it along please?" Again she forgot to move her lips along with her synthesized voice.
She dropped back over, fussing under her breath while she waited for the other four to catch up.
Kitra shrugged and followed Vibe, "Not that I can think of Ali." She sighed inwardly, she didn't blame Vibe for not wanting to be social. It still sucked though. "We have Vibe, Voltaire, Shogun myself and you, Ali." She wondered if this training excerise would do any of them good, at this point, she doubted it.
