After working on a particularly vexing problem involving airflow at high speeds past a streamlined body involving the Navier-Stokes equation and such related approximations, seemingly making absolutely no progress after getting engrossed in six hours before stopping only for a quick bite, Hades was feeling thoroughly fed up, so he exited the secret lab. He phased through a few walls and so ended up in his own lab, from which he exited. After locking the door and putting a sign on the door that he was temporarily away and for people to go in to the waiting room and wait, he set off at a good pace to the training area. He was proud of himself, after being at the Lab for not that long he had almost committed the whole floor plan to memory, such was the extent of his covert-ops training.
He entered the training corridor and selected a vacant room. After closing the door, he quickly changed to traditional Chinese martial arts cloths, loose fitting robes and trousers, tied at the waist. He sat cross legged, calming himself, focusing his mind. Slowly he rose and, picked up a Chinese sword. He hefted it a few times, noting the weight and make of the sword, appraising it. Finally he bagan to move with slow steady moves, graceful, perfect in form. His stance did not shake at all, his motions were fluid, he had reached the stage of mastery where one cannot distinguish where the last move ends and the next move begins, soon it was as though he was wreathed in a ring of steel, composed of one move that seemed to have neither beginning nor end.
Hades was at peace, this was where all things were logical, things made sense. On and on it went. The ring of steel faltered slightly as he used the tip of his sword to pluck another one out of the rack in the wall and seamlessly worked that one into his dance as well. His moves were slow and graceful, like a dance, but their power and deadliness was unmistakable, there seemed to be some deeper darker truth hidden within his moves, it was as if people had only grazed the surface, and that each move actually had a thousand different variations that could be used to respond to any number of attacks. Hades was at peace.
