The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Having nothing else to do, Shogun did what he had spent all of his life doing; train. So, after donning his armour, he made his way through the building towards the training area. The path was becoming familiar to him, so he didn't have to ask for directions.
Upon arriving, he detirmined which room was empty, and entered. He had spent a large number of his recent training sessions practising with weapons that he was less comfortable with, so this time he chose to go back to his swords. He sensed some sort of technician or scientist passing outside, so he opened to door. "Excuse, I was wondering if there was some sort of dummy that could be used to practise against." He technician nodded, and brought some sort of screen out of the wall. He entered a few buttons, and a dummy rose up out of the floor. Shogun expected it to be made out of straw, but this was metal. Odd
Even more odd was what it did. It moved. It advanced towards Shogun, and he had to think quickly to bring out his sword and block the robot's strike. Fighting it took Shogun about as far as possible out of his comfort zone if every way possible. He had to focus on sending out constant pulses to determine where it was and what it was doing, and he didn't have the advantage of foresight.
All this meant that when the robot next striked, Shogun didnt have the time to bring his sword to block, and he hadn't yet activate his armour's field. It knocked him flying toward a wall, but he managed to roll up to his feet. He swiftly activated his armour, and thistime when the robot charged, he guessed where it was going to strike. He ducked, expecting it to swing for his head again, but instead it kicked out at his stomach. even with the field, it still knocked him off his feet, but this time at least it didn't hurt. He landed on his feet a short distance away, and found himself right up against the wall. Then the robot stopped, and sank back into the floor.
Panting, Shogun saw the technician, who chuckled. "When you feel ready to fight it again, press this button here. Use these arrows to change the difficulty." Apparently having something better to do, the man left. Shogun realised that if he hadn't had his powers, he would have had no idea what the man was referring to. Either the man didn't care, or didn't notice that Shogun's mask had no eyeholes. It didn't matter either way, as he went to the panel and chifted the difficulty down a fair bit. He hit the start button, and the robot returned. Again, it charged, and the fight started anew.
Karmalina was on her way to the Bunks when she heard a few loud noises. She took a small detour, following her hearing and instinct rather than directions and knowledge. Eventually, she happened across a door with a small code panel beside it. Due to the fact that she didn't know the code, Karma bent over for a second and slid her finger down the door. After it got down the door and before it reached the floor, Karma's finger felt an open space. She smiled. It seemed that this room whatever it was wasn't well protected. She knew that Hunter was probably a secure man, and if it was easy to break into, this room wasn't too important. With a quick outward breath, Karmalina once again de-materialized into a pile of sand. Once in this form, she flew around in a quick circle and slid under the door once she was spread thin enough.
Once through the gap, Karmalina re-materialized into her human form and smiled. She had made it. The first thing she saw was a robotic thing a a man in armor. She quickly scanned her memory and checked to see if it was a Stalker. With the robot looking different than a Stalker, she relaxed a little more before focusing in on the man. His name was.....Shogu ? Or Chogun? She remembered the basic idea of his name mostly becasue he stood out compared to the other members of the Kabal. When the robot charged, Karma assumed she was allowed to fight and sprung into action.
With a short, yet quick sprint, Karma picked up speed before doing a front flip. This had served to launch herself over the robot's head. She was then on the robot's right side and facing away from it. With a drop her weight, Karma crouched and spun around, attempting to knock the robot off it's feet before standing again and leaping backwards. She was now beside Shogun most likely.
"Mind if I join in?" she asked, her voice regal and calm as she eyed the mechanical beast.

Shogun had sensed the girl outside, and knew that she wanted to come in. But the room was locked from the inside, so she couldn't. But she did, proving herself to be a mutant in the process. He noticed the lack of shroud clinging to her, and focussing a little closer he got a bit of a look to the personality. She seemed a nice girl, probably one of those 'trusts everyone on sight' people. A quality that was great for making friends, not so good if the person is out to kill you. One of the reasons that he didn't like that particular trait was that he saw it as a weakness. But regardless, she was in the room, and swiftly tripped the robot and showed some good acrobatic talent too.
"I believe you already have. Interesting power there, are you a new member of the resistence?" But by now the robot was up again, and charging. Shogun split his sword into the twin blades, and swung out with the left one. At the same time, he spun right round to the right and so attacked with the right blade from the same side. The robot ducked the first one, but the right blade was swung low, so it severed the opponent at the knee. The robot fell sideways, and attempted to get back up. Now that it was useless, Shogun proceeded to remove the head. It stopped moving completly.
Karmalina watched as the...samurai?...worked his touch. When he was done, she nodded and turned to face him. When she attempted to look into his eyes, she couldn't. She was unable to find them. With a shrug, she spoke, her voice clear and regal and with a feminine tone.
"Ahhhh, you could say that." she said. She wanted to remain more mysterious, it set the mood and secrecy. With a quick look around, Karmalina saw a button beside the activation one and pressed it. The floor opened up below the robot and it fell in. She walked over about 10 meters and turned to face Shogun again. She knew he was blind, but also knew he was tuff. With a smile, she spoke loud and clear.

Was she challenging him? Without a weapon? Hmm. "As you wish." He spun his swords around in his hands once, taking up a defensive position at the same time. "Do you wish to pick up a weapon? Or would you prefer unarmed combat?" He didn't mind either way; after seeing her against the robot, he was just curious as to what she was really capable of.
Karmalina smiled as she picked up a Bo Staff. It was similar to her usualy Bo's; 6 feet tall, an inch in diameter, etc. But this one had one more special feature. Although she didn't know what it was, a small Adamantium plating was wrapped around the Bo, aking it a fair match against blades.
As Karmalina pulled her weight back, she assumed a form that was typical for somebody skilled in this art. She held the bo about a third of the way down on both ends, separating it into thirds. She then ran, jammed the Bo into the ground, and used it as leverage to fly way above Shogun's head where she then proceeded to turn into a pile of sand, dropping where his head was last. She had no idea if he was still there, but just hoped he would be.
Walking around this place, Mandain had no real clue of where he was going or what his next intention would be, what would be his role to play in this situation. While wandering he saw some people standing and having conversation, but when he passed by they would quiet their mouth and give an awkward look to him. This was not his place to be, these grounds were dark, something about this place was wrong.
Finally he was in a place where he could think clearly without people interfering with their starring eye's. He gave a tear, he was lost, since Ali his reaction on the lab grounds his cause for a better life was sort of faded away, darkness surrounded him too, it wasn't that he didn't like it, he was just not used to it, well people always were afraid of him in his home town, not used to extraordinary people, or mutants/freaks. Back to his thoughts he crossed Horus, what were his intentions with him, would he corrupt him, or be to good use, all these thoughts were driving him a bid mad so he walked further.
Hearing a sound he looked around seeing the samurai guy that he had seen in the war room, and a girl he never saw before, she was pretty beautiful but he was still in his head with Ali. Leaning on a nearby wall he watched as the two had a conversation, it ended quick. Not knowing what happened between them, the girl picked up some sort of stick, and went over the samurai his head. "Well now, what is going on here" Mandain wanted to move in closer, but a voice in his head told him to look what would happen between them, Mandain obeyed, and Horus smiled in his head.
As soon as she had been dropping, Karmalina saw the man. With a quick switch, she flew in her sand form to the left and then went towards the man. With a swoop, she went beneath his legs and down the hallway. How rude he was. This session was private and that man had no business spying. The sick pig. A moment later, Karma was gone.

She picked up a Bo staff, and judging from the way she handled it she knew how to use it. He was looking forward to this. She rushed him, and used it to vault over him. Sensing her about to use her powers, he was totally lost for what to do. He was about to swing upwards with his swords, when he sensed her annoyance towards their spectator. Shogun had sensed him enter, and couldn't really care less. But apparentl she could, and she flew off down the corridor. Odd. He turned to the man, whom he recognised from the meeting. He was one of the ones with a split personality, and Shogun had been meaning to speak with him at some point anyway. "Greetings. You appear to have scared off my training partner."
At some point in the jump the girl just vanished, it seemed like that this was private, the girl was obviously a mutant, but the samurai wasn't gone, he was where he stood. Greetings. You appear to have scared off my training partner."
The samurai talked, it was friendly and now what he had expected. "It seemed so yes" Mandain reached his hand out while saying the words: "My name is Mandain Gandron, Sorry about that, it wasn't my intention to interrupt anything, I was just passing by when I saw the flip" He gave a smile with his his hand reached out.

Shogun may have been tempted to smile back, but the full-face mask made him completely ignore the idea anyway. He ignored Mandain's hand, as he had always comsidered hand shaking to be silly. So he acted like he was; a blind man. "I'm Shogun. Weren't you one of the ones in the meeting earlier?" Shogun was normally much more reserved than this, but the boy intrigued too much. He could just abou sense it, the second personality, something dark and foreboding, just out of reach.
The hand was being ignored by the mysterious man, or he couldn't see good threw his mask, or it was some sort of Asian tradition, or something.
"I'm Shogun. Weren't you one of the ones in the meeting earlier?" " Well, I attended the meeting yes, and spoke some words, well I couldn't miss you since you are the only one in the Asian looking dress" He smiled again, getting a new "friend" in this forsaken place could be useful, since he didn't have any friends really. "Well now, How did" The sentence was being interrupted by pain, pain is his mind, "Horus you damn...."
"Have we what here" Horus was in charge, he looked around, where was Mandain this time? Horus looked at the samurai, he grinned with a cynical touch and sound. "Sword nice, what think you of mine?" Horus obtained his sword from his arm, now a shinning scarab blade was being held in his hand.

OOC: Shogun wasn't wearing his armour in the meeting. Don't worry, you're not the first to make that mistake Oh, and let me know if I read Horus wrong
IC: Woah. The second personality reared its ugly head, and forcibly took control of the body. Now he could really sense it, and it was... evil. Coming close to Antonescu in that respect. And it was old. Very old. He sensed something in there... sand? What?? Does that mean beach? Or a desert? It could be that it came from a desert or a beach, or is just thinking about the girl that just left. The thing started speaking, and couldn't really speak english very well.
The he drew a sword from inside his arm, and Shogun could tell that it was a part of his mutation. "Interesting. Tell me, how come there's two of you in one body?" Shogun decided to do what he was best at; being blunt.
(Ooc: I modified it , if you have questions about his way of speaking or you don't understand it just ask ^^)
Ic:
"Interesting. Tell me, how come there's two of you in one body?"
Evil laughter came when that question was being asked. The samurai seemed to have already talked to Mandain so trying to avoid an answer wasn't an option. But there was a way out from this question, and Horus took it. "Who you are to question that ask" His sword was lifted up in seconds pointed to the samurai. "Horus stop this!" Mandain came threw Horus his thoughts, Horus didn't pay attention, he was used to people saying stuff to him and ignoring them. "Suggest you question that reverse." Horus his eye's were starring into his mask, nobody would get to know the mystery of his rebirth.

Evil laughter. Never a good sign. Though it was supposed to be good for stress relief. When the boy held his sword up, Shogun didn't flinch in the slightest. He still had his sword drawn and halved, so he was confident that he could block any incoming attack. The boy's nicer personality tried to fight for control, but was knocked back. Shame. Shogun did not like the evil one.
It took him a couple of seconds to decipher what was being said, what with it being out of order and not his first language. "Reverse the question? I fail to see how that makes sense." Was Horus implying that Shogun had a split personality? Wait, Horus? Where did that come from? Was that the name of the evil one? "I know that the boy is called Mandain. You're name would be Horus, would it not?"
OOC: Do let me know if I'm god-modding by finding your name. Also, in case anyone is wondering, the reason he knows Horus's name is because Mandain shouted it at the very front of their mind, and Shogun is paying extra special attention to what goes on in there. Also, Horus being insanely old helps too
