The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Her latest tactic worked. Though it followed a partially fierce round of attack, in which she was hit seven times. Following that, however, it seemed he listened to what his body was telling him - a wise move. As soon as the words “I yield” were called she stopped instantly, dispersing the heat across the room, so to prevent any harm befalling him. She also restored the light levels to normal; the game was over. Her last moves hadn’t exactly been fair, but yet no rules had been stated to follow. “You are an impressive opponent” she called, and it was true, beside the fact she would be sore in several places tomorrow, the game had become far more challenging than she first imagined. She also was aware that if he had chosen his globes could have carried far more energy, resulting in a hit being destructive rather than merely painful. She waited to see if he would need or break or if he wanted to continue.

At once the heat was gone and the light restored. With the heat gone it took him only a few seconds to recover. Rising to his feet, not even out of breath he bowed to Nox in way of recognising her compliment. “As are you.”
“You use your power is such varied ways, it makes me wish to delve into the depths of my own abilities. I feel that I can do more with my power than these crude and simple blasts. With time, I will find the answers I seek.”
He returned her comment with a bow, and then went on speak about his abilities. He struck the valid point that one should never presume one has learnt everything. She too wished to find other, more sophisticated ways of using her powers; with it having so many aspect she felt as if the numbers of grey, unknown areas far out numbered the known. This was something she hoped to correct over time. And the best way to do so was to challenge yourself, which was why she was eager to continue. And so she asked “I believe it is your turn to set the challenge, that is if you don’t need a break.” She was intrigued to see, if he stayed, what he would come up with; it would, in all likelihood, be something new and challenging, which was exactly what she wanted.
It was immediately after her last comment hung in the air, a thought flickered in her mind and she realised, to her annoyance, that her training would have to come to an end. The thought had been catalysed by a brief glimpse of a clock while speaking, followed by the acknowledgment that time was up; she had to be somewhere. And so she explained the situation before making a somewhat hasty departure: “I am afraid I have just realised I have a prior engagement to keep, and so I must leave. Thank you for the session.” Having spoken she collected her belongings and left, hoping that she wouldn’t be that late, since late itself had already past it was now a matter of how late.
