The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The shifter could hear better than others, all he heard from below was the sound of screams. Some days he wondered why he hung out with Zek, if all the beatings he received for being friends with the guy was worth it. If he had a mirror handy he would have adjusted his new magical top hat. Carrick knew he could pull it off. So yes, it was all worth it.
The portal opened and Carrick relaxed grinning as his friend exited the portal with clothes. Perfect. The shifter almost forgot he was in his underwear. Almost... the cool breeze of the New York city rooftop helped remind him on occasion.
Reaching out and snagging his pants first Carrick hopped, flapped his wings twice lifting himself into the air as he swung his pants on. ”Don’t know. Ya think they got the message?” Carrick asked looking into the hole that lead into the building. ”Hate fer them to think they have a chance against us again.” he looked back to the teleporter he choked out.
”Pit stop at the city dump? Can drop them where all the other city trash goes.” the shifter said walking over to the downed teleporter. ”Our city mate, don’t forget it.”
Why was Calypso in his underwear again? “Why are you in your underwear again?” Zek said. He’d changed clothes back when Zek did. There was a whole holographic team pep talk and everything. “You’d changed clothes back when I did. There was a whole holographic pep talk and everything.”
Then Zek’s non-glowing eyes turned to the downed teleporter. He glanced back at Featherbutt. “You know what? I don’t wanna know. You can do whatever you want with whomever as long as I don’t have to see it.” Besides, Zek was already almost blinded by all the non-feathered flesh. He’d have to start wearing sunglasses around him again.
The guy got dressed, although there was a little too much flapping around for Zek’s taste. Then they were able to put it all behind them.
“Good idea! These clowns have no idea who they messed with, but now they gotta know we rule these streets and skies.” Zek said as he dropped a golden ball on the teleporter, vanishing him away. He pulled his disco staff out of a portal. “Trashes to trashes and bums to dumps! Away we go, let’s ditch these chumps!” he cawed before hopping up onto the edge of the roof.
He flicked a switch on the staff and the LED lights on top started spinning as rave music started blasting. He thrust the staff up and held his arms out so he could easily be picked up by the Top Cat-Bird.
Carrick looked down at himself when it was pointed out. He had thought about it for a second then wondered if he lost the clothes when teleporting. It didn’t matter. All the mattered was that he needed some now. Shrugging and confused as well Carrick, ”I dunno.” he said honestly.
The disco staff was produced and the teleporter was balled. Carrick tipped his hat then watched as Zek hopped over the edge of the building into the city. ”Give me a heads up when ya do that!” he shouted and leapt over the building after his friend.
