The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Uniform: N/A
Sleepwear: An old pair of shorts that he wouldn’t wear in public with no shirt on.
Miscellaneous clothing: He has one suit for special occasions and moments of necessity, but honestly he could count on both of his hands how many times he’s worn it--not his cup of tea.
Character
Personality: Levi’s general disposition is friendly, open-minded and helpful. He’s always willing to try and strike up a conversation. He’s always willing to help somebody if the need arises. If Levi had learned anything from his dad, it’s that life isn’t all that bad. Someone always has it worse. This has given Levi an incredibly optimistic view on life. He’s always trying the good in a situation. He the type who believes that everything happens for a reason. And he more often than not will try and crack a joke to lighten up a mood or to keep morale up even in the most serious of situations. But when Levi’s not working on whatever it is he's working on, he loves to be outside. He has an extremely strong adventurous side. He’s willing to try just about anything at least once in his life. Sky diving? Sure! Rock climbing? Why not? Life is too short in his opinion. So why not get out there and enjoy it as much as you can?
Levi is a moderately outgoing person. He is not shy in the slightest. He has a good amount of energy which he normally expands in his work or play. He’s not very often seen just sitting around doing nothing. He’s always seen doing…something. He is also a very good listener. He's always there for someone if they just need to just talk. He might not always understand the situation, but he's there anyways. But on the flip side…he himself isn’t very open to other people about his own troubles. He’ll listen to you whine and complain all day, but he doesn’t like the idea of burdening other people with his own problems. They're his problems and troubles, not theirs. Truth be told, he's scared to tell other people about them because he has a deep inner fear of getting judged. He likes to thinks he can deal with them by himself and that he doesn’t need anyone else’s help to do so. They’re his problems, his issues, he can handle it! And so he keeps the sad and hurt emotions hidden beneath a happy go lucky exterior and a smile.
Now despite Levi’s easy going demeanor, he does have a wicked temper when provoked. It takes a lot to get him mad as he tries not to let things get to him. He likes to think he’s strong and unflappable, but really he isn’t. There is after all only so much one person can take before they snap. And when he gets really and truly mad, he just sits there and stews over it. He holds grudges and for a rather long time. He won’t forget what you did and he’s not above holding it over your head if he really wants to.
Another flaw about Levi you could say is his willingness to trust other people. Anybody really. He's trusting almost to a deep fault actually. Anyone and everyone who isn't openly hostile and bitchy toward him has his trust. Which can and has gotten him into trouble before. He doesn't really seem to pick up on small subtle hints that would tell another person that the other person might be a dangerous or have less than stellar intentions. It takes a lot to break his trust in you but when you do, you'll never really fully gain his trust back. There will always be some lingering doubts about the other person there. But he tries not to let that taint his view of all people. He's always willing to see the good in a person no matter how bad, to give the person the benefit of the doubt, a second chance.
Hobbies/ Interests: Any outdoor physical activity (but especially swimming and surfing) ; sketching ; camping
Job or part time job and description: Barista at a local coffee shop
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: That his brother actually did commit suicide (and that all the time he spent convincing his mom that he hadn’t would have been for naught and that he’d have to be the one to tell her) ; claustrophobia (fear of small spaces) ; the growing mutant and human tensions have him more then a bit concerned that it’s going to get out of hand
Special talents: He is a rather good surfer -- had won a few competitions before he had moved. He is also bilingual: speaking Afrikaans (the official language of South Africa-his native tongue) and English (which his parents taught him when he was a kid because they saw it to be a useful thing to learn).
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral -- he could be shanghaied onto the bad side or talked into joining the good side -- but for now he tries to keep his nose out of that sort of thing.
Mutations
Mutation description:
Vocal Amplification :: Levi has the ability to manipulate his vocal fold size in order to produce higher or lower pitched sounds. The higher the sounds are, the more he strains the muscles in his voice box. He can make people experience nose bleeds, headaches, dizziness and minor hearing loss if he exposes them to the louder sounds for a prolonged period of time. But in short bursts, the person will just experience perhaps a nosebleed, dizziness or a headache. His current power limitations are as follows:
10 dB -- like a pin dropping
20 dB -- rustling leaves
30 dB -- humans whispering
40 dB -- computer
50 dB -- light traffic
60 dB -- air conditioner unit
70 dB -- dishwasher
80 dB -- alarm clock
90 dB -- lawn mower
100 dB -- handheld drill
110 dB -- jackhammer
120 dB -- thunderclap
135 dB -- air raid siren
Voice Imitation :: Levi can also manipulate the harmonics of his voice to create the many different sounds of the human voice. He can at will produce the exact same sound and pitch, and imitate somebody else’s voice exactly. He has to hear the person’s voice first and it has to be clear. It can’t be jumbled or stuttered or else he won’t be able to pick apart the harmonic structure of the voice and therefore imitate it. He also has to hear it for at least 30 continuous seconds in order to give himself time to pick apart the harmonic structure of the voice. It also has to be in a language he himself knows in order for him to be able to use the power. That mean if the person is speaking in another language beside English or Afrikaans, then he can’t imitate their voice.
Strengths:
~If his voice is amplified loud enough - he can temporarily debilitate you -- very handy for getting out of tight situations
Weaknesses and Limitations:
~ Levi can only amplify his voice to 60 decibels (the conversation speech level) without straining his vocal cords. Beyond that he starts to really strain his muscles
~ Levi can use his powers for an indefinite amount of time when his powers are at 60 dB or lower. Then as the levels of noise increase over 60 dB, the amount of time he can use his powers will lower until he gets to the maximum level in which he can only use his powers for about 20 minutes before his throat will get all scratchy and red and then his powers will start to decrease in strength in an effort to protect his vocal cords and hearing.
~ Levi has to hear the person's whose voice he is planning on imitating before he is able to duplicate it. He can't just imitate voices on a whim.
~ He's much more prone to getting laryngitis then the normal human
~ Has to be careful how much he uses his amplification powers. He has already been told by one doctor that if he exposes himself to the higher end of his vocal abilities for too long, then he risks hearing loss.
~ When in emotionally or physically stressful times, Levi will sometimes accidentally imitate someone’s voice (if a person is with him and talking to him mind you)
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: No more than the average man really. He is as normal as normal gets in the physical realms.
Fighting Style: None really. When he’s panicked -- he’ll tend to flail about and hope one punch or kick hits you more than an actual style
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: N/A
History Of Your Character
Levi was born in the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa, surrounded by pristine waters and a few short hours from a game reserve full of African wildlife. It was a beautiful place to grow up and Levi and his older brother, Jared, took full advantage of it whenever they could. Despite the five year age difference the brothers were very close and had a really strong bond. The two of them could more often then not be found surfing the waves after school or going out camping over the weekends or taking week long (or more) trips out to the game reserve during the summer. Levi especially loved surfing -- it was something he practiced any chance he could. And he had grown quite apt at it as a kid -- even winning a few competitions among the local teens.
Regardless of what they were doing -- it was a great way for the brothers to bond. Each brother knew that the other would always be there for them...no matter what. And that they would lay everything down for the other...even their lives. Their mother stayed home to make sure they didn’t get into too much trouble while their father worked with the South African border patrol making sure nothing or no one came into the state illegally. A risky job yes, but their dad was a very patriotic man and was willing to die for the safety of the country.
Levi's life was very...average. Nothing ever happened that was out of the ordinary for someone living where he was. But then things started to change. He would accidentally start to imitate voices to the letter. It was kind of creepy, but he just brushed it off. And when anyone asked him questions about it, he just laughed and somehow talked his way out of talking about it. But there was no hiding it forever. And when he was attacked by a group of thugs that had been looking for money and instead thought they’d have some fun with Levi instead -- his vocal amplification powers came to light. The stress and fear of the moment triggered his powers and he screamed out--breaking any nearby windows and causing the thugs to shrink away in pain. And after that? Well he ran of course! And didn’t stop running until he got home. He then explained what was going on -- afraid and unsure of what was happening to him. What was this? He didn’t understand! But his family were awesome (in his eyes) and calmed him down and didn’t ostracize him. In fact, they helped him to control it to where he wasn’t going to blast your eyes out every time he opened his mouth. It oddly enough was something that drew them even closer together.
But then in November of 2004, two months before his fourteenth birthday, there came news of a death. A death that none of them saw coming. Seth Christiansen had been killed. Both he and his partner had been killed by a group of people that were trying to get into the country illegally. The entire family took it very hard, but none more than Jared did. Both of the brothers had a good relationship with their father, but Jared had always been closer to their dad. And he went into a depression over it. Levi tried to keep the mood up but it was hard. Their mom became silent. She didn't speak unless she had to. The stress of her husband's death and son's depression was getting to her. That much was easy to see even by someone who didn't even know her. Everything was changing again.
Eight months after his father's death. Levi's brother Jared had just up and disappeared. He left behind most everything he had and there was no note or anything letting them know where he went. He was just gone. Without a trace. It was as if he never existed in the first place. This was the first time Levi really began to feel the stress of all that had happened. First their dad and now this. Everything was falling apart here. But he knew that his mom had to have been feeling even worse. So he more or less kept all his feelings all to himself. Two weeks of searching high and low, near and far later and everyone had given up hope. They had all thought that because he had been in such a depressed state, that Jared had committed suicide. They all wrote him off as dead, but Levi knew better than to believe that. He knew his brother better than that. Jared wouldn't do that to them! He was too proud to kill himself! He was out there somewhere and come hell or high water, Levi promised himself that one day he was going to find him.
They tried to move on. They really did. And for Levi it was a bit easier then for his mom. He kept himself busy doing things like he always had. Though it was awful bittersweet without his dad or brother around to enjoy it with. He was just starting to get over it he thought when in June of 2006, another unexpected thing popped up. His mom has suddenly declared that they were moving to the United States. Truth be told, she couldn't handle being in that house, on that street or in that neighborhood anymore. The memories were driving her insane. She couldn't take much more. And so they packed whatever they could, gave the rest away to family members living nearby and then moved to a small town in the US where some of their other family had been living. For the then fifteen year old, it was a huge culture shock and so much change. But he took in stride like he always did. He had his doubts and worries and concerns like everyone else did but he had to adapt to it. He had no choice.
Over the years--he grew up and slowly adjusted to a different life in a different country. He has moved out of Kansas and is now working at a coffee shop and life is good right now. Different then he ever would have expected it to be -- but still good...

Levi quickly ducked beneath the counter as he saw the thugs walking into the store. Oh no. Not again? He frowned. What did he have ‘victim’ written all over his face or something?! It seemed like every time he was closing -- something had to have happened. Of course 99 percent of it was totally out of his control -- but it didn’t annoy him any less though. He froze as he heard one of them mentioning the ‘mutant’ and ‘knowing that he was around here somewhere.’
Oh no…this was worse than he had thought it would be.
Levi quickly put two and two together and figured that they were talking about him. They didn’t want to rob the store or take all of the money --they wanted to hassle him around because of his mutant status. He tried to keep it under wraps, but there was at least one person who found out and then told someone else who then told someone else. Thankfully this wasn’t an event that happened too often to him (still too often enough for his liking) -- oh but when it did, it was such a pain!
The man bit his upper lip as he quietly crawled to the end of the counter where the swinging door was (the one that let the employees get back behind the counter in the first place) and peeked his head in the space between the bottom of the door and the floor to see what was going on. Both thugs had their backs to him right now. He looked over at the door -- it was only about ten or so feet but there was nothing to hide behind. He could be seen. They could corner him. Hassle him, hurt him or worse--but no, no he was just letting his imagination get away with him now. But still--they were here to cause him trouble and he didn’t want trouble. And in order to escape from trouble--he would have to expose himself and then go through the door in which there was a bell and that was sure to get the thugs’ attention.
And now he was faced with a dilemma...what was he supposed to do?!

Character
Personality:Levi is a nice guy. He really is. He isn’t going to be mean for the sake of being mean. That’s just not how he is. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his demons though. He isn’t very open or trusting of people...he is rather wary about making friends due to his experiences with people who have ulterior motives and what not. He has a twisted sense of justice (what is wrong to him isn’t exactly always wrong). He is definitely the ‘end justifies the means’ kind of guy. He has his end goals in mind and if he has to go through questionable means to get to those goals--then so be it. He doesn’t want to hurt you purposely but it's really best for you if you don’t get in his way. He is more temperamental and easily riled up which has been his downfall at times (people can easily rile him up and use that to their advantage). He is still a family man and his brother and mother mean a lot to him despite everything that has happened and he wants them to be safe and woe be it to you if you harm them. He can be right protective over family and friends at times which can be used against him as well.
Hobbies/ Interests: Any outdoor physical activity that he can do by himself (especially swimming and surfing); sketching Job or part time job and description:Unemployed. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: That his brother actually did commit suicide (the guy is the only family left that likes him. He has to be alive!) ; claustrophobia (fear of small spaces) ; the growing mutant and human tensions have him more then a bit concerned that it’s going to continue to get further out of hand.
Special talents: He is a rather good surfer -- had won a few competitions before his mutation came to light. He is also bilingual: speaking Afrikaans (the official language of South Africa) and English (which he had to self teach himself when he moved).

Sadly his parents weren’t as understanding as he would have hoped. They were scared of his powers. Mutants weren’t taken to kindly where he lived. Not to mention the threats Seth occasionally got due to his job and they were rather unnerved. Jared didn’t care though and it was due to his intervention that Levi didn’t get thrown out. They treated him differently afterward--they were more aloof and distant and Levi knew it was because of his abilities. It hurt. But he kept it to himself and his powers to himself. He wasn’t going to put his family at risk. No way.
But then in November of 2004, two months before his fourteenth birthday, there came news of a death. A death that none of them saw coming. Seth Christiansen had been killed. Levi’s mom suddenly snapped and then turned onto her younger son. She suddenly began to blame him and that mutation of his for everything that had been happening. Seth’s death, Jared’s disappearance -- it had broken her and she wanted a scapegoat and Levi was it apparently. She threw money at him and told him to get out. That she never wanted to see him again and to never come back. Levi was beyond hurt and he protested. He wanted to stay. This was not his fault! But when she threatened him, he knew he didn’t have much of a choice if he wanted to stay alive for much longer and so he left.
Given everything that had happened, he knew moving would be his best option. And several months later, he found himself in the states. He had only but the clothes on his back to his name...he wasn’t sure what he was going to do! He had to figure it out and quickly. He quickly figured out that New York was as friendly to mutants as Cape Town had been -- that was to say not friendly at all. He was the victim of several hate crimes before he decided that he had enough. And it was time to do something -- if not for him then for the other mutants who were undoubtedly experiencing the same hate as he was.
And it was then that he began to throw himself into the crime fighting gig. He focuses mostly on crimes against other mutants in an effort to protect them all (and especially the children), but hey if he helps a human every once in awhile then that’s okay too. It was dangerous and he has had several run ins with the law and with others not happy with the whelp getting in their way but he is not about to change his ways now…
