The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"So I would travel to america, so that I could get a chance to fight against this swordsman, and could return at any time?"
"I do believe so Shogun" Kitra gave a small smile when Shogun took off his helmet revealing a face with many small scars and a simple, black blindfold. 'Well this is a bit better now that I can see his face.'
"So you want me to leave my homeland, and come to visit this man who may or may not be a great swordsman, all on the words of two strangers?"
Kitra's eyes narrowed, 'he does have a point but...' Her eyes went even narrower and then she grinned slyly. 'I think I will have some fun now." She now smirked, "Shogun, I thought all samuri were fearless, would tackle any challenge, as in accepting any challenge to fight as well. Hunter Antonescu is doing just that." Kitra's voice was now challenging Shogun and somewhat mocking. "Did I say best in New York or the U.S? I meant in the world actually. Will you really turn this challenge down Shogun? He is better than your late grandfather as well"
. Kitra stopped for a breather and sat slightly back in her chair, as she had leaned forward unconcouisly to have a go at Shogun. She had been staring at him levely where his black blindfold cobered his eyes. "What have you to say now Shogun?
Tris was impressed by the way Kit was handling things, so she backed off and let her take center stage.
She was watching Shogun's reactions too, as surely as he watched theirs. Tris knew he had every right to be suspicious and she should account for that.......but patiences and her didn't exactly always goes hand in hand, and her temper was still her master at times. She didn't particularly like his standoffish attitude on top of jet lag and a left over headache from the freezing thing.
Never the less, she held her temper and tried to calm her energised thoughts

She spoke up from the chair she was currently lounging in; "Besides- we're not complete strangers.......physiologically speaking anyway........we all share a common little something......even if it does manifest in different ways."
There was no one else in the room, she Tris waved a hand nonchalantly at a chair in the corner of the room.......which exploded with barely a sound......just kinda almost vaporised.
Tris smiled a satisfied smile- that little demonstrated had a dual purpose.......firstly to demonstrate they were as different as he, if not more so.......and secondly, as a subtle message of the 'look what I can do so you better not piss me off' variety.....subtle yet usually rather effective.

Shogun gave off no emotion at the first girl's response. She was right; he would never turn down a challenge. But then he felt the ripples from the other girls again after she mentioned something about them having something in common. A second later, a chair seemed to just evaporate. One of Shogun's eyebrows raised. He rarely gave off any emotion; that alone showed that he was mightily impressed. But what did she mean by them having something in common? "Fine. So you take me to New York, and I get a chance to fight this man. Then, I can come back whenever I feel. Agreed?" He was not fond of the idea of travelling somewhere and not being able to come back.

Kitra grinned slightly, 'Way to show off and warn at the same time.'
"Fine. So you take me to New York, and I get a chance to fight this man. Then, I can come back whenever I feel. Agreed?"
"Yes Shogun, that is the deal." Kitra paused, 'I should probably warn him about the bill, it seems like it pertains to him as well. And I am going to go out an a very fragile branch here.' She swallowed, "Shogun, I should warn you that a bill is trying to be passed in the US. It's for registering mutants." She winced slightly, "I'm not sure how you do so well, but my guess *she held up her hands in a slight defense* is that you are a mutant."
Kitra then paused and looked at Shogun and lowered her hands. "I know it's a long shot, but if you would still like to travel to the New York with us... We can leave as soon as you wish."

Registering mutants? What's a mutant? "What's a mutant? And how am I one?" He assumed that the second girl must be one of these 'mutants'. Maybe it has something to do with those ripples...
Kitra frowned thoughtfully, "A mutant is person with enhanced abilities, their genetics contain the x-gene. Like, moving things with your mind, having enhanced senses, reading someone's mind, having animal like features and instics. Things like that. I'm not sure if you're a mutant or not. But, my guess would be yes." She pondered for a moment, "How are you able to sense things...If you don't mind me asking."

Shogun frowned. He doubted that there were actually people with these 'abilities'. Though, his ability to sense things nearby wasn't exactly normal... "I can sense anything with life that is near. So I can tell what everyone in the audience is doing at the same time." He refrained from telling them that he could sense auras too; noone knew about that. "So you want me to come to america to meet this man's challenge, but now there's the possiblity of being 'registered'. Is that correct?" He had liked the idea of a new challenge, but this bill was not something he was looking forward to.
'Ah there we go, thats it!' Kitra now smiled, Shogun had just made it all clear to her. "Yes Shogun you are a mutant. But you need not worry, you will be under Hunter's protection at all times if you so wish." Kitra stood, "If you need to retrieve anything before we go... Um, it would be for the best if you changed though."

His eyebrow almost raised when she said protection. He didn't truly believe that he needed it, but he was no fool. He knew nothing about America, so being in the graces of a fellow swordsman couldn't be all bad. "I have a few things, but they are mostly at my home. Allow me to go and retrieve them, and I shall join you." By a few things, he meant his multitude of weapons. "You wouldn't object to me taking my weapons? I refuse to leave them here." There was no way that he was going to leave his weapons, but he would most likely have to leave his horse. Regardless, she could take care of herself. He rarely left he tethered anyway, and she was probably roaming the mountains right now. "My house is a two-hour walk away, so I shouldn't be gone long." He got up, and tucked his helmet under his arm. "First I'll go get changed, and then I'll go."
Tris stood up with a grin, glad they'd come to this arrangement......her focus had kept wondering from the topic of why'd they'd come and to more trivial pursuits- like shopping and sight seeing ......if she kept on like this.....Hunter was soooo gonna lecture her when they got back.
"Well I'm very glad we could all come to this mutually beneficial agreement.......I'm sure both sides will find something equally valuable to take away from such an alliance." She concluded both smoothly and formally.

Tris raised her own eyebrow at this statement, interested in that fact. "........Weapons.....?" she asked, curious. "As in plural......how many did you have in mind?.......I mean take as many as you want, its fine....just wondering how your gonna get em through customs........though thinking on it your status as a world class swordsmen will probably help......and even if it doesn't, I would assume Hunter would have provisions made......" She trailed off, aware she was musing aloud at this point. She gave them both a look to say -ignore what I just said and continue on.
"My house is a two-hour walk away, so I shouldn't be gone long." He got up, and tucked his helmet under his arm. "First I'll go get changed, and then I'll go."
Tris bowed slightly as an acceptance of Shogun's decision; "Thats a fair plan.......but we can accompy you there if you wish.....help out, packing, locking your house up.....whatever you need.........or we could wait here.....the choice is yours."
She offered their help and a choice whether to accept it or not, knowing she hadn't exactly been the best model for friendly relations here with her standoffish behavior and veiled hints of threats and trying to do better and make up for it alittle. Tris offend tried to be more accepting, but she was a volatile personality, sometimes she had her little quirked that couldn't be helped.

Kitra chuckled, "I don't believe that we will have any issues getting through customs. And bringing all your weaponery is just fine as Tris said." She smiled, "We would not depreive a fellow warrior from his weapons."

Kitra once again chuckled, 'she could telll that her teammate wanted to go shopping. "Tris I can help Shogun if he so wishes." She looked at Shogun, "The choice is yours."
(OOC: You're coming back on a private jet so don't worry about getting the weapons through customs. You each have a message at your hotel detailing what will happen and will be met by someone at the airport and lead to the plane.)

Shogun bowed to them both. "I shall go on my own. All I'll need will be some horses. There is a stable near here that would be willing to lend me some, so I'll go visit them before I leave. I should be back in about an hour." He would have to pay a little money to borrow the horses, but his many competition wins meant that he had more than enough. "If you don't mind, I'll take my leave for now." He headed for the changing rooms, and got changed.
Kitra smiled as Shogun left and turned to Tris. "I am going to stop at the hotel for a bit." She stood and walked over to Tris and gave her a small hug. Stepping back she grinned, "Thanks for your help today."
Watching Tris zip out of the room with a smile and a wave, Kitra chuckled. A thought occurred to her, perhaps she should leave Shogun a message in case they weren't here when he arrived. She walked to the door, opened it, and looked around for an attendant. She spotted a young lady attendant, bowed to her and motioned for her to come into the room. "I would like you to deliver a message to the samurai."
She grabbed a sketchpad and a pen and began to write...
Shogun,
If Tris and I are not here when you return, this lovely young lady here will help you. All of your belongings will be loaded into a vehicle and they will take you to our hotel. I am in room seven on the first floor. I believe that if you have any further questions, we can address them then. After leaving the hotel or here, we will go directly to the airport if you so choose. My deepest apologies if this offends you in anyway. Unfortunately, I do not know where Tris went off to and as for myself, I wish for a relaxing soak in the famed hot springs of Japan.
Kitra Mavrick
Kitra smiled and the young lady smiled back. "I would be honored to give this message to The Blind Samurai." She bowed to Kitra and made shooed her out of the door.
Kitra grinned and grabbed her bags then headed happily for the hotel... She smiled lazily, 'A bath and then a short nap....'

Shogun reentered the arena, after having left his horses at a stables which was owned by a man who knew full well the consequences of letting anything of his be 'misplaced'. He made his way back to the room where he had left the two ladies, after strapping both swords to his hip, hooking his knife onto his belt, and strapping a longbow and quiver of arrows onto his back. He wanted to have his favourite weapons on him, where they were far less likely to be stolen.
He had almost reached the room, when an attendant ran up. She handed him the letter, and with bow, walked away. He called her back, and asked her to read it to him. She obliged, and he made his way back out of the arena, this time using the main entrance, instead of the private one reserved for competitors. He was approached by a man who asked if he had received the Kitra's letter. He replied that he had, and was lead to a large vehicle. His horses had already been lead there, and his weapons loaded on. He personally took his horse aside, and let it go free. It would still be around if he came back later, even if he was gone years.
The vehicle took him to a hotel, and remembering the note, he headed for the room.
