The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daria screamed startled, for she had assumed he was asleep.
"MIKE!" she teleported one of the hotel robes to cover herself. "Get up, will you? I refuse to let us be late and ruin my surprise....es.." she laughed and lifted a leg to poke him with her manicured toes.
Mike grumbled and sat up. The he walked toward the bathroom for a quick shower, and as he got halfway there, the towel was yanked away again, right into his hand. He looked back over his shoulder to wink at her. "Hope you don't mind if I borrow that," he smirked, before stepping in and closing the door.

Daria wished she were telekenetic too so that she could turn the knob to cold water but she couldn't. She laughed. and tugged at the robe disappearing.
"Come downstairs when you're dressed." she said right before she disappeared.
And, true to form, it didn't take a long time for him to be ready. He showered quickly, shaved, and dressed. He took a little longer on his hair, making sure he had it looking right for whatever obviously fancy plans Daria had made, then picked the cologne out of his toiletries that he knew she liked best. The suit didn't take long... he was used to dressing up, and tying anything was simple with telekinesis. He put on his sunglasses, took one final look in the mirror, and, resisting the urge to say 'Damn, I look good,' and headed down to meet Daria.

Dressed in a long shining, strapless, black gown with a silver ribbon around the waist that trained down behind her, Daria stood at the foot of the Hotel's grand stair case. She wore her hair up, cleveraly managing to mask her cat ears and cover the spot where her human ears would be if she had them. The dress hid her tail as well, and she wore brown contacts; Mike wouldn't have to work to make her look 'normal' to night.
She wore a single diamond choker and matching bracelet and, with long lashes batting admiringly she looked up at Mike as he descended, smiling with crimson lips.
Mike smiled as he walked down to her, his eyes flashing gold behind his sunglasses. "My god," he said quietly. "You look absolutely radiant," he said, smiling that dazed, loving smile he got whenever he was absolutely dazzled by her.

Daria beamed brightly when he said so.
"You look so handsome! I'm jealous of the suit." she winked and kissed his cheek. She looped her arm in his and they made their way outside where a stretch limo awaited them, the driver holding open the door.
Mike held her hand, helping her into the limo, then climbed in after her, unbuttoning his jacket with a quick, practiced flick of the buttons. "Don't be jealous of the suit... If you wore it, I'd have to wear the dress, and frankly it looks worlds better on you," he teased, leaning over to kiss her lightly, being sure not to mess up any makeup she was wearing. "And yes... I've learned that it'd be useless for me to try to ask where we're headed to."

Daria grinned when he kissed her. "No.....I'm not telling but man are you gonna love it.
"The dress looks better on me but I hate not having a tail hole." she laughed. "and I never knew how much my ears twitched or rotated when I'm listening to things. I don't know how I handled human ears." she shook her head.
"Well, I hope you don't mind too much... because that dress looks amazing on you," he told her, squeezing her hand. He glanced over and, waving a hand, opened the refrigerator on the mini-bar and smiled as he saw a bottle of champagne. "Do we have time, you think?" he asked, as the bottle and two glasses floated up and toward them.
