The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Urges? all the time." she admitted willingly. "I eat ketchup just cuz it reminds me of blood. Thats what the frenzys make me do. But I don't like that side of me. I just can't help it."
She wasn't offended nor did she feel bad as she spoke. Sadly it just was the way things were.
"I don't know... care to try to find the answer?" he grinned.
He sighed happily as he finished the last bite of his food. "You know, there's nothing quite like a good meal that you didn't have to make yourself..."

Daria laughed, sipping her wine. she too was finished.
"Yeah. I agree. Not that I mind cooking. Its fun, especially when there are kids involved." She thought back to when she, sarah and Kit-kat had made the pizza.
"Well, if you insist... THIS time," Mike smirked, rolling his eyes. "But only because you'll probably get angry if I never let you," he teased. As he spoke, Daria noticed a small box near her elbow. It certainly hadn't been there before... at least, she hadn't noticed it there before.

"Ahh the joys of having a telekenetic boy friend." she laughed.
the waiter brought the check and and Daria put her card in the little book and waited for him to return it.
"Whats in it?" she asked picking up the small box and holding it gingerly between her fingers. Tiny butterflies began to flutter in her stomach. Who didn't love surprise gifts?
There were, actually, two things inside the box, though they weren't both visible immediately. First was a necklace with a diamond pendant on it. The diamonds were arranged in the shape of an angel, with blue saphires forming the wings.
Once she pulled it out, she'd see that there was another under it that looked exactly the same. "The one on the bottom is fake," Mike explained, "Since I know you wouldn't want to wear something that expensive except for special occasions." He was obviously nervous, and seemed to be having doubts about the gift, now that it was actually being opened.

Daria looked at the necklaces. Her eyes showed shock-nice pleasant shock-her mouth was smiling.
The angel of course reminded her of Mike, when his powers were flaring..when he was trying to save her.
Tears formed in the corners of her eyes as she fought the urge to jump up and hug him.
"Smart." she said. "Smart and thoughtful. ...Best boyfriend ever." She said putting them both back int the box-with equal care of course. "I love them, they're beautiful!"

"mmmm. Don't call me a liar." She laughed as the waiter returned with her credit card.
She made sure he heard her emphasize her words to Mike. "If I say you're the best boyfriend ever, then you are." She finally looked at the waiter as she took her card.
"Thank you, dinner was lovely." she gave him a very even smile, one that was unmistakable for anything than a happy customer with a good meal. He was expecting something more obviously, for he stumbled when he answered, shying away from Mike's gaze.
"Er..I am glad you enjoyed your meal, madam. Please do dine with us again sometime." he nodded in Mike's direction and shuffled off.
Mike chuckled. "He's lucky that you're the one doing the tipping," he teased.
"And all right... I'll accept that I'm the best boyfriend, as long as I don't get arguements when I say that you're the perfect girlfriend. Does that sound fair?"

Daria gritted her teeth slightly-he knew she wouldn't be quick to agree.
But she laughed and shook her head. "All right." she said pretending to be exasperated. "If I must." she laughed and left the tip on the table. It wasn't too generous but still more than he was entitled to.
"He didn't touch me, I can't complain." she said about the waiter, standing and grabbing Mike's hand. "I'm not sleepy yet, where are we going now?" she asked, the child like excitement returning to her eyes.
Mike smirked. "We'll see," he said as he led her back outside. As he held her door open, he stopped her, pulling her gently into his arms and kissing her. "All plans can be changed... was there anything YOU wanted to do?"
