The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Two hours spent in the kitchen preparing a large, elaborate lunch... all wasted. Saph had been called away to work, and she didn't feel much like trying to put any of it in a box for him. Loukaniko; sausage she'd painstakingly fried to perfection- just the way mother had always done it. Spanakorizo; rice and spinach that she's cooked on the stove top, and then baked with a little lemon for an hour. And Moussaka, which had taken her the longest to make out of all the dishes. Just sauteing the eggplant alone had been a task for her, as she'd never learned how to properly wield a saute pan. Not to mention all the effort she'd put into making the layering of the dish look like a heart.
"hmph." Sighing, she picked at her un-touched plate, and picked up the book she'd brought with her. The four inch thick book she'd chosen to waste time on currently was 'The Odyssey'. She'd never had to read it, even though she apparently should have being Greek and all. Another downside of being home-schooled, she guessed.
While she idly tried to focus on reading, Andrea continued to play with her fork. Moving around bits of sausage and rice until there were well mixed with each other. Sloth, ever the curious snake, was watching her like a starving puppy from around her shoulders, just waiting for her let her guard down so he could flash out and make a grab at the food.
Looking at his watch Enders had only finally finished moving is things in about forty minutes ago and the groaning in his stomach was getting worse by the minute. As he wandered the halls trying to recall the directions he had been given. As the smell of something cooking began to fill the air he knew he was getting close and finally making a right he found himself in the dinning area of the mansion and was greeted by another rumbling of his stomach. Quickly making his way in he found remnants in a pan of some unknown food and snatching a plate from the cupboard he quickly filled his plate before turning to take a seat before he was stopped dead in his tracks.
He first saw the head of snakes slithering about as their tongues tasted the air, then the green skin and finally his eyes landed on...a book? He instantly recognized the woman sitting idly playing with her food out of all the Amazons Enders had confronted in the Hells of a future he and many others had endured, whether that was from the sight of his friends and soldiers encased in stone or because of what he had to do after as he broke the news of their deaths to their family and loved ones. Either way the sight of the Mutant Medusa did nothing but incite the rage he had been trying to let go after the realization that the future they had been a part of was not going to happen, at least not in the way they had seen.
Moving towards her he sat across from her, he doubted she would recognize him no one did with his head not shaved and no mask though the tattoos that littered his arm could still be used. Resting his elbows on the table he pulled the plate close as he leaned over it shoving never letting his eyes rest on the snake charmer across from him. “Evening Ms. Gordon, nice to see you again.” Enders was doing some of the best acting of his life, sure his voice was a bit distant but it did nothing to reveal the rage he tried to quench inside. Scooping up a fork full of food he shoved it in his mouth swallowing it quickly as if it was the first time he'd eaten in days. Slowly from where his elbows rested on the table a thin line of crystals etched themselves out and underneath the table making their way towards the Greek, just in case.
Honestly, she didn't see why people pegged this book as so epic. The first few chapters were rather depressing, and she wasn't exactly sure she liked where the story was going. She was stuck so deeply in the third chapter, brows furrowed as she ran through line after line of text, that she did not hear someone else join her at the table. So, when he spoke, it earned a yelp and her fumbling attempt to catch her book as it slipped from her hands.
Andrea cast a deer in headlights look across the table at the lone man, muttering under her breath in Greek as her heart sheepishly returned to it's proper pace within her chest. "...Oh, Hello. I had not heard you join me." Her cheeks flushed slightly as she marked her place and set the book down beside her on the table. It was rather embarrassing being caught so grossly involved in a story. Had that even been the first thing he'd said to her?
Her eyes landed on his plate, then slid to her's. Nope. No appetite yet. "I apologize about that. I usually do not read during meals." Her gaze returned to him from behind her glasses, and something dawned on her. He knew her last name? Had she met him before? He certainly didn't look familiar. A puzzled frown creased the corners of her lips, and she tilted her head slightly. "I.. I am sorry, but do I know you?"
Perhaps he knew Saphirus, or was a new staff member? Or, heavens forbid, she'd met him already and forgotten. She dearly hoped it was one of the first two.
