The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty took her hand in his, the contact making him feel a little bit better about this. Jeez he really would do anything for this girl. "Gotcha." He gave a nod, speaking as calmly as he could for someone who was about to jump off of a rooftop.
When she said three, he jumped at the same time she did, but they landed with a thump. He'd followed her directions, but they landed a lot sooner than he expected. Then again, he should have known. He let out a laugh, opening his eyes and seeing they'd landed on scaffolding.
"Tses, you are some kinda crazy," he said, giving her hand a squeeze. He looked at her with that crazy grin still on his face. "But I wouldn't have it any other way."
Tses smirked and stretched her legs out in front of her, a sort of Cheshire cat like nature to her. Perhaps this was just the only way she knew how to have fun: slightly reckless, flirting with danger and enjoying the rush. It was hard for her to settle down, put she loved the thrill of being chased. But luckily he seemed to be good at keeping up, because the disappointing part would be loosing him.
She stood and helped him up since he still had her hand, and nodded back over her shoulders at the open window with it's plastic covering blown inward, leaving a clear path into the landing. "You should know by now I like you too much to kill you. Even when you drive me crazy half the time." She smirked, and dragged him inside behind her, almost a little skip to his step.
She laughed that he called her crazy, but was glad he didn't seem to mind. "So does that mean I'm the good kind of crazy?" There was almost a purr to the way she spoke, and the jump loosened her up enough for her to swing his hand a little as they moved. She was a strange contradiction; a little bit too grown up, and a little bit too childish. She had her head in the clouds when it came to danger and her feet cemented down when it came to people.

He stood up, with her help, chuckling at her first comment. "Well it's good to know you like me that much. Still trying not to press my luck though," he teased, following her with the same pep to his own walk.
"Definitely the good kind of crazy," he answered, "Keeps things fun. And you keep me in shape with all this running and jumping and climbing," he teased, squeezing her hand a bit. Part of him hoped she wouldn't pull it away, but he'd understand if she did, since that was the deal.
He loved how she swung his hand, how she skipped when she walked. He loved seeing her like this, especially. It was great, almost like they had something. Well, maybe they did, but whatever it was sure wasn't your run of the mill relationship. Though, Ty had to admit it was alot more fun this way...
Tses came up to one of the sections of stairs and smirked as she realized the railing was compete in this section. Again, her ideas sprang to life as she glanced at Ty with a gleam in her eye. "Ok, from all your urban exploration days did you ever try handrail sliding?" To be honest, she never had but it always looked fun when she saw the other street kids trying it. Well, the ones that did it right, not the ones who face panted at the end. She always wanted to try but never found a good opportunity. This seemed like it might be right. There was plenty of room to sit on the railing and keep your legs over the edge without hitting anything and just enough room at the end for a decent landing.

Ty chuckled at her question, looking from her to the railing, then letting go of her hand. "Ya know....allow me to answer your question like this," he flashed her a grin, stepping back to judge the railing a little. After a second, he took a few steps, and grabbed the railing only quick enough to lift his rear end onto it and slide down sideways, feet landing nimbly on the ground at the bottom.
"Yep. Still got it~" he said, looking up at her. Okay, yeah maybe he was showing off a little. But he really couldn't resist. And it'd been so long since he'd done that. Man it was fun...
"You gunna give it a go?" he asked, stepping back just in case the answer was yes.
Tses blinked at the top of the stairs down at him. Ok, so maybe it looked fun at first but that was before she saw how fast he slid. She grinned sheepishly from the top of the stairs and shuffled uncertainly. "Ok, so you've done this. I have to confess I haven't though If I faceplant ... Take care off the stuffed tiger for me!"
She swung herself onto the rail, dragging her foot to stop herself from sliding too soon. Then she tucked both legs to the side, picked up her feet and let herself go...
And promptly let out a muffed scream as she went shooting toward Ty at the bottom. The rail ended before she was ready and she tried to land on her feet, tripped and crashed into the red head.

Ty smiled, nodding. "I'll catch you if you fall," he comforted, watching as she slid. He moved into position, and wrapped his arms around her as she tripped. Stepping backwards, he kept his balance fairly well this time.
"I gotcha this time, promise," he said as he broke the awkward hug-like grasp and let her stand on her own. "Okay, admit it. Landing or no landing, that was fun, right?" He flashed another cheesy grin.
Tses seemed to be tripping all over herself today; definitely not her smoothest landing she had. But she'd rather crash into Ty than fall off the building. Well, she was pretty sure she would rather. When she felt his arms close in she had a mild moment of safety and panic until he set her back on her feet. Thankfully he didn't try to keep her there. It gave her the chance to just grin nervously back at him.
"Terrifying, but fun. I loved it." She grinned and laughed trying to calm her pulse. She couldn't remember ever laughing like this. It felt nice. Felt ok. "I always wanted to try that. It was as fun as it looked." One of her pigtails had shook loose and she pushed her hair out of her face but it fell back again.

Ty chuckled. "Yeah. My first time doing that ended with a busted nose. It was a building just like this one, and I misjudged the distance, and wound up pretty much kissing the wall. Thought for sure I broke it, heh. But that's what makes doing this stuff with you different. My friends back then just laughed."
Shaking his head, he held his hand out to her again, wondering if she'd take it or not. "Shall we~?"
Ty's story sounded similar to some of the stunts she watched the other street kids do. For a moment she could almost imagine him hanging in the streets of Chicago while she watched from the rooftops. Back then she kept to herself. but maybe now things could be different. It was almost like she had finally bridged a gap in her life, and he helped her through it.
She took his hand with a smile and let him get away with it this time. He wasn't getting that kiss yet, but she wanted to hold his hand more than torment him today. He made her feel safe, and protected. She wasn't used to feeling like she could rely on someone.
"Yeah, lets go. You promised to walk me home." She smirked.

Ty held onto her hand, loving how it felt. It felt....right. They fit together perfectly. "Yeah, that's true." He smiled, walking with her, not really caring that he didn't get that kiss now. He was just happy to be with her. Today hadn't gone exactly as he planned it, but it was still perfect, nonetheless.
"I used to alot of crazy stunts like that. I may seem like I know what I'm doing now, but I didn't always. Never broke a bone but I've gotten many a bump and bruise for it. But some things take time," he said, looking at her.
Tses laughed, and followed him, letting him take the lead when they got to more stairs and started down. "I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie sometimes. I love flirting with danger, but I don't usually end up lucky. I've fallen off roofs, fallen through floors, you name it. But I always heal up, so I guess it doesn't deter me. If nothing, I feel more reckless sometimes." Lately that held true more than normal. She was confused by her current attraction to him, and her relationships with other mutants. She didn't know where she stood in life anymore. She cut ties with the people she was working with, and knew that could be a dangerous choice. But the more she got to know other mutants, the less she wanted to do with people who were prosecuting them.
"I used to think if things worked out differently for me I would have been a skater or something like that. Alternate universe or something. I could see me being a bit of a tom boy." She was glad she was wearing her arm bands so her hand wasn't sweaty. Then again, she realized he always wore gloves so why would it matter anyway?

"Yeah, I can be too at times. Sometimes a good rush is all one really needs. ...Actually that might explain alot," he teased, flashing a toothy grin behind him. Finally, they reached the exit, and he looked around the city, lost in the moment.
"Yeah....I don't know what I'd be. Besides I kinda like being a punk kid. It's fun," he replied, trying to find something to fill the awkward silence that started to set in. His left hand brushed his hair out of his face, ignoring the fact that it was all messed up from the activities of the day.
When they stepped outside, Tses breathed deeply and tried to suck in the little bit of moonlight she could feel hitting her. It was hard to really see the light on such a bright evening, but she could feel it; little tinges against her skin that flooded her veins like pulses of adrenaline. Today it was weaker though, and she dreaded the coming stage when the moon would wink out for a few days and leave her on empty. It would be a boring few days for awhile, but eventually she'd start building up her powers again. The full moon was always the best, the new the worst. Her powers were an inconsistent roller coaster. Maybe that was why her personality ended up that way.
"Hmmm. don't know if I could see you as a punk. Not broody enough. Well, at least not that I've seen." True, she'd seen him upset after the grocery store incident, but he seemed upset in a sad sort of way. Well, when he talked about his dad there was a darker side, but it seemed more like a passing thing, like her happy moments. "You are good and keeping your head on straight, I mean."

"Yeah, I just said punk because that's how everyone else seems to see me. Even you the first time I tried to steal a kiss," he teased. "But seriously...I take you calling me a punk alot better than others doing it. The rest of them don't know me, so they have no place." He thought a moment. "No one else really ever thought highly of me. Dad thought I was useless, my aunt took me in just to get me away from him, and Ms. Jenkins just felt sorry for me...Cops and bystanders....I'm just some punk kid."
"I don't see myself as a punk, just another guy trying to find his place in the world. And I never felt this much in place than--" he smiled. "Today." His blue eyes looked over to her.
