The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Rebecca waited for Agnes's answer, and it sounded like she was on her way to one when a blur with black hair rushed past her and gave Agnes a hug, seemingly oblivious to Rebecca's presence. When the hug finally halted her momentum, Rebecca scanned the girl who was hugging the lost love of her life.
She recognized the girl from photos. It would be difficult to forget the face of the girl Rebecca stole Agnes from. The girl who evidently stole her back.
>> “Agnes!! Hiya! Ready for lunc— OH! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to interrupt!”
Rebecca's eyes were already welling up. It was an obvious explanation for why Rebecca never heard from Agnes again: she moved on to someone new. (Or old.) She did not understand why Jasmine was back from Japan, but she was sure the reason was not going to help.
With a weak voice, Rebecca mustered up a quick, "Oh, Ah was jist leaving." As quickly as she could manage, Rebecca lifted the massive flower arrangement and muttered, "Goodbye," as she ran out. She just wanted to run away and hide from existence. She made such a fool of herself, there was no way she was coming back from it.
Agnes could be happy and enjoy the life she was meant to have with Jasmine, and Rebecca would pass the bouquet baton to someone else so she could return to her bed, cry away her pain and curl up with her flask.
Jasmine’s timing really was just horrendous. And just a tad rude. Not only did she interrupt her while she was busy with a customer, but she had to walk in just as she was talking to the ex that she had been so destroyed over for the past few months! Agnes couldn’t even begin to think what Rebecca was thinking of this whole situation; to blurt out something like she did, then only to have Agnes be hugged by another girl just out of the blue.
As silly as it sounded, Agnes wouldn’t be surprised if Rebecca thought the worst of the scenario…
>> "Oh, Ah was jist leaving…Goodbye,"[/color]
Which apparently she did.
“W-Wait, Re—“ she didn’t even get to finish her plea. All she heard was the sound of the door closing before she even got half the redhead’s name out. Damn it.
Agnes slouched a little, leaning her back against the wall. That was just hell indeed. What was she supposed to do with this now? Though she had hoped she would survive this encounter unscathed, which she did, it also was far more traumatic then she wanted it to be. On top of that she was filled with far more questions that she was comfortable being left with. A text she didn’t respond to? What the hell was Rebecca talking about?
“Agnes? Are you okay?” Jasmine asked with concern. “What’s wrong?”
Agnes had the look of someone deep in thought. She raced through her memory, trying to account for everything that happened the day of the break-up and the days that followed. There was definitely no mysterious text. So…what was Rebecca just going on about?
She shook her head at the intrusion of Jasmine’s voice. Looking up, she spotted her friend’s concerned look and sighed. She offered her a small smile in response.
“N-Nothing. I’m okay,” she said as she looked back to the door that Rebecca just walked out of “Just…a little spooked is all. Come on,” she said with a small smile to Jasmine. “I’ll just go tell Annabeth I’m going on break. Be right back.”
