The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"What do you mean, you don't have owner information for it?" Aurum snapped. "It's a motorcycle! Didn't you get all of that when you bought the thing? Didn't you ask? Did you lose it? What?"
This was stupid. This was weird. The Harley Shin had shown him had been nice. Why had he wanted to sell it, suddenly. And more importantly, why did he lack the basic papers owning a bike like that would involve?
Why was Shin's lower lip quivering? Why was he looking about as worried as a dog's chew toy?

Why did his tone keep getting more upset-sounding? That wasn't nice. Shin wibbled. Aurum never wavered. It had come to this. "Why're you bein' s'mean t'me?" Shin wailed.
Aurum stared at the wailing grown man. "Huh?" He asked.
All the drama, and the serious information on the topic came out. "All that stuff! The licensing information. The insurance! I don't haaaaave..."
"You don't..." Have. Why did he not have?
"It isn't mine!" Shin spat out. He tossed his hands in the air.
"Isn't... yours." Aurum repeated, slowly.
"Stop repeating what I say! Didn't I just tell you I stole it!?" Shin snapped. Then, he pouted, crossing his arms like a five-year old. "Aurum, you're mean." Mean-face. Why did his legal help (though not technically a lawyer, yet) have to be so... mean?
"Shin. What. I don't. Understand..." That had all come out so fast. All that information Shin had told him. Shin was a motorcycle thief? And he was mean? And he didn't even have the papers? Why would he do all those things!? They were so stupid!
Aurum took a deep, calming breath and soldiered on. "Okay, so tell me..." He massaged his temples. "Just why... did you steal it. And are you going to need a lawyer for all of this...?" Ugh. Why'd the day have to suddenly get complicated. It was a good thing they were in Shin's apartment, and not on the streets.

The Asian took a long sniff, composing himself. "You didn't say. You're sorry." He managed, brushing aside the tiniest of tears. He had yet to attack the largest.
Aurum rolled his shoulders back and shook his head. "Okay, Shin. I'm sorry. Now, tell me. Please."
"That's better," Shin pursed his lips grumpily. He uncrossed his arms, and looked Aurum in the eye. "When I was Abyss... when I turned into this big monkey-tailed strong man, a while back. Before Romania. It was his bike. I just rode it to the mansion and left it there. It made sense at the time."
Shin answered him. And. Like the things Shin usually said, it didn't make a bunch of sense. Why had he taken the bike and not returned it? It had made sense at the time? What was with Shin lacking common sense? And who was this 'Abyss?' Wait. Big. Monkey-tailed?
"Shin..." Aurum spoke slowly, cautiously, as if worried his question would get an answer he did not like. "This Abyss... he didn't... happen to be huge with a monkey tail, and have... like... a brother, right?" A twin?
Aurum remembered two men in masks who had robbed a bank. Two men. He'd stood up to one of them for Kealey. Somehow... the guy had liked the cut of his jib.
Those two men were scary. Those two men had tried to rob a bank. Had Shin... turned into one of them? And stolen his motorcycle?
Shin paused. Then he answered. "I think so. Yes." He frowned at Aurum. "Is that a problem?"
Another long sigh escaped the wannabe Lawyer. It turned into a groan as Aurum thought over possible scenarios and solutions. Oh man. This was not good.
Finally, after what seemed like forever to Shin, with Aurum pacing, and thinking, and muttering to himself, the legal council returned. Aurum had a plan. "Okay. This is what you'll have to do..." He said.

What he'd have to do... was... That?
But that was really not a good idea. It wasn't a good idea at all. And it didn't solve the major problems, did it? Why would he do that? Shin kept on listening to Aurum's plan, but... for the most part, he disagreed entirely.
"Aurum." He said, after the lawyer had finished. "Are you sure this will be a good idea?"
The lawyer looked at him, thoughtfully. He didn't spend much time thinking it over, though. "Yeah," He said with finality. "If you want to be right with the law, you don't want this to go to court. You'll want to get rid of it. And I don't think the guy you stole it from is the kind who'd work with the police or file a missing items report. So... don't take this as good legal advice, really. It's idiotic. I know. And probably entirely too naive, but..." Hadn't someone recently called him a 'big naive baby,' Aurum pondered. "If this were a different situation, I'd tell you something different. But for now... just try it. And pray that if you bump into him, the man's forgiving."
This would be 'right by the law'...? 'Well,' Shin thought. 'I certainly don't want to be wrong by the law!' And he certainly did not want to have something like this on his criminal record. Not when he was trying to become a cop. He'd already started the process and everything. Met with people. Set things up. He'd be starting academy soon. This would screw all of that up, so...
Even if it was lousy legal advice. Even if Aurum told him to his face that this was stupid and incredibly dumb. Even if this was all INCREDIBLY SILLY!! Shin wouldn't stop. He'd do what Aurum had suggested. Kealey would probably hate him for it. Heck, he'd hate himself, but... He would. He'd do it.
Shin would give his motorcycle back to Abyss. Even if it meant sneaking it into the Sanctuary Garage and leaving it there with a note.
