The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The world had turned since his first encounters on this Freaky Friday of sorts. From the unplanned Sanctuary visit, to the book store pop-in, he'd bobbled and felt embroiled in something bigger than him... and he was seven feet tall. That was quite a feat.
Yes, the world had turned... and led him here.
Away from Kasumi, away from Aurum, away from the not-quite-Ghost. He'd left Kasumi!Jaxon there for Aurum and Hymn!Ghost to handle. The kid would have his hands full. That was fine. Shin could handle himself while he was gone. He had to do this. It was important. Shin wanted to deal with one key detail before everything went full circle again.
He had to drop off their cycles... the mansion garage was far safer than the back alley of Full Circle, after all, and Shin was certainly strong enough.
One motorcycle over each arm, Shin walked the streets of New York. It was strange. Slightly disconcerting. Everyone -stared-. As he walked along, he couldn't help glancing left and right. Crowds seemed to part. Children paused their lickings of ice cream cones to goggle. Old ladies gawked. A police officer... saw him... looked to his partner, then... got into the squad car. And quickly left the area... sirens wailing, away from him as fast as the puny car could go.
Was this what it was like to have a visible mutation? Shin pondered as he stepped down into the subway entrance, ducking low. Squeezing his massive bulk, and the bulk of his and Kasumi's cycles with him through the far-too-low ceiling, and ticket turnstiles. The man working the ticket stand stared at him, then quickly closed the register as Shin asked for a ticket.
"J-just go through!" He muttered. "W-we don't really need a ticket from you, Sir."
Shin paused sadly, watching him, then shrugged. If that was how things had to be... and he'd had money for it, too. Oh well. They wanted him out of the subway as fast as possible.
The ride on the train to the Mansion's side of town was stunningly silent. Shin sat on the floor of the subway train, and took up half the car. Burly red hands blocked the aisles. They rested on the motorcycles, keeping them steady. Aside from him, the only other passengers on the train were a man with silver hair in a school uniform jacket, and a shy-looking stylish kid with a music player strapped to his chest, and earplugs in his ears. He leaned against the wall, hands in his pockets, eyes closed. The silver-haired boy held the pole for balance. Neither paid Shin much mind. The dark-haired boy with the music player seemed more focused on the glowing blue butterfly as it passed by the window on his right. The silver-haired boy shuffled a deck of cards.
Half an hour later, Shin stepped into the sunlight of the city. One quick jog later, he was at the mansion. Shin punched in the code at the front gates. He had to do so carefully. Each finger was massive. It was hard hitting the exact right button with the correct pressure. If only he'd been weaker... he wouldn't have forced Streak's hand. As Shin stepped away from the sparking number pad, he looked up to the cameras on the top of the wall.
"Hey, whoever's on duty. Mutant in-need here, let me in." The giant red man tapped his foot impatiently, crossing his arms as he waited for something. Someone had to come and see him out here. He was big, red, and in plain sight.

It was definitely a sight to see in the security cameras. Two bikes floating high off the ground. When the bikes got closer he could see that there was someone carrying them. A big red guy was carrying them. In fact he seemed to know how the gates worked. It wasn't too long before the guy had started talking about needing some help. "I'll be right there." Streak said on the other side of the intercom. From the cameras he couldn't tell who it was. Streak left his office wondering who on earth would be strong enough to carry two motorcycles all by himself. He hurried down to the gate.
As he got closer it seemed like the man was more familiar than Streak would have liked him to be. When the silvermancer reached the gate he paused before opening it. "Can I help you?" It was a simple sounding question; however, he didn't think that this guy should be here. If his memory served him correctly he was one of the mutants, with the Order, that attacked the mansion at Raina's party. It had been almost a year since then and he thought it odd that an Order member would show up here at the mansion, and carrying two bikes nonetheless.
By now Streak was directly in front of the big red guy and only the gate separated the two mutants. What was his plan? Get an X-Men out in the open by himself and then throw two motorcycles at him? Actually that was pretty original. Not something that you would expect anyone to do. Then again...If he was here to attack the mansion again, would he really have waited for Streak to come to the gate? The head of security didn't think so. So what was his angle? What did he want? Only a response from him would tell Streak that. There was no way he could know how the big guy would act here.

>>"Can I help you?"
"Yeah," Shin replied, sticking his hands in his pockets. He looked a bit put-off standing there in front of two motorcycles, in his jeans and white tank top. His red arm muscles bulged. He nodded to the broken security panel. "I'm... sorry. I accidentally broke that when I tried putting in the security code. I can pay to fix it, if you want. Still getting used to my strength. Those motorcycles," Shin glanced over his shoulder at the two lovely vehicles. One was black, with thick wheels. A nice muscle rod. The other was more sleek and stylish, engine cover formed into the shape of a magatama. "I was hoping I could get into the mansion's garage to leave them there for my friends. Tetsuya Shinbo and Kasumi."
Shin frowned. It was odd lying to Shawn like this, but he highly doubted the head of mansion security would believe a big red giant that told him he was someone else. Shin still had trouble parsing how it had happened. There was no need to share the confusion.

Now ordinarily Streak would have been inclined to say 'Don't worry about it. We've got a spare.' Or something to that effect. But this wasn't an ordinary visitor. This was a member of the Order. Why would he apologize for breaking something at the mansion? Isn't that something that they like to do? This day was quickly becoming strange.
"I'm... sorry. I accidentally broke that when I tried putting in the security code. I can pay to fix it, if you want. Still getting used to my strength. Those motorcycles," "I was hoping I could get into the mansion's garage to leave them there for my friends. Tetsuya Shinbo and Kasumi."
Streak opened his mouth to ask the red giant something but he quickly closed it so that he red guy could finish talking. Another thing when did Shin and Kasumi start befriending Order members and having them drop off motorcycles for them. And probably more importantly... How does this guy think he knows the security code? What the heck was going on here? "Don't worry about it." Streak said, apprehensively and meaning the intercom. "These bikes aren't going to explode whenever my friends try to start them up are they?" It may have been a random and rude question but it was still something that he was worried about. He would definitely have a suspect if Shin and Kasumi randomly blew up in a heap of motorcycle wreckage.
The silver mutant looked the big red guy up and down. He was very wary about this but decided that with having enough of a mental picture of this guy he could find him anywhere. Streak slowly punched in the code and the gates swung open. He continued to look at the guy even as the gates opened. How did this day become so confusing?

>>"These bikes aren't going to explode whenever my friends try to start them up are they?"
"I should hope not. That wouldn't be good for my..." Shin stopped himself from saying 'my body'. "My friends." He finished lamely, coughing into one fist.
It made sense Shawn would be worried about him, and about foul play. Shin would have to thank the guy later for doing such a bang-up job with mansion security. Why, if he'd tried to slip in through the gaping lack of gate (as it sailed across the mansion lawn, into a window), he could have been certain there'd be laser deathbots and pitfalls. Maybe even a robotic ninja or two? And the plural of ninja was ninja, so... NINJA. Shin pondered the ramifications of training robots in ninjutsu.
New Topic.
"If you need confirmation that the cycles aren't rigged to explode, or have brake lines cut, or any of that... I could ride the larger one around as demonstration. And by all means, if you need to check them both over beforehand, be my guest. Shin told me you took your job seriously. I have to applaud the mansion's security."
The gates swung open. Shin stopped talking a moment, then turned to pick up the cycles, one on each shoulder. He smiled at Shawn, and pointed a finger at the gates.

And by all means, if you need to check them both over beforehand, be my guest. Shin told me you took your job seriously. I have to applaud the mansion's security." "Can I come in?"
There was definitely something strange going on here. Even if he was just some random person at the mansion he would have still been suspicious, especially the way he paused before saying ‘my friends’ and coughed. That was usually the way someone made a lame joking reference. Cough. ‘My friends’. Cough. Of course it also could have been a ways for him to stop himself from saying something inappropriate from about the X-Men or their views or just something in general. His whole demeanor threw up red flags in Streak’s face.
Streak thought for a minute before answering. “Ya come on in.” said the very wary X-Men. On a scale of 1 to 10 this was an 11 on his weirdest encounters at the mansion meter. Ok maybe he was exaggerating but it was right up there with his top 2 at least. I mean come on… the guy can life two motorcycles, one on each shoulder, like it was nothing and yet he acts like the only thing he would do if you called him a name or hit him is tell a joke. What’s his angle? “You can put the bikes in the garage and they’ll be safe until Shin and Kasumi get back. Follow me.” Streak said to the big red mutant. He started to lead the way down the drive towards the garage as he assumed the guy was going to start following him when he started to move. Even in he could lift that much it didn’t mean that the bikes didn’t get heavy after a while.

Relief. Shin felt relief. Shawn was easing his paranoia. Shin followed the silver-mancing mutant along the path towards the mansion, all-too-willing to follow like a good little boy. The most important thing here was dropping off the motorcycles. If Shawn didn't trust him, that was fine. Good, even. On an average day, this big muscular red man would have been a member of the Order, an anti-human organization. He'd have been wandering the streets, striking an intimidating figure with every step he took. Anti-human activists severely clashed with the Mansion's ideals. Heck, they clashed with Shin's ideals. So, if Shawn didn't trust Shin, Shin would leave it that way. The sooner he dropped off the cycles, the sooner he could get back to Kasumi. That fell higher on his list of priorities than explaining the crazy circumstances to Shawn.
Though, that didn't mean he couldn't do a bit of intelligence-gathering on his body... if he was in Abyss, that meant it was likely Abyss was in him... and... uh oh. That wouldn't be good.
Shin followed Streak to the garage. When Streak pointed to a spot Shin could set the cycles, Shin set them down. Then, he turned to speak to the silvermancing mutant.
"Thanks..." Shin started slowly, with a smile. His tone was polite. If he dropped off a little towards the end, it was only because he was considering how best to word the next question before he asked it. Shin took a breath, rolling his eyes to the sky above him. Good lord. If he started asking around about random mansion-goers, it'd be suspicious again. "So," though Shin supposed he'd be suspicious no matter what. He rolled his head on the ball of his neck, then let it drop back to focusing on the back of Shawn's neck. "Have you... seen Shin around? Or Kasumi, even? I wanted to say 'hey', let them know I'd returned their bikes?" Was this coming off... conversational enough for Shawn right now? He'd of asked about Hymn then and there, too, but... well... he already knew where Ghost's body had ended up.
"Here's this, by the way..." Shin flipped open his/Abyss's wallet, and drew a couple bills from within. He held them out for Shawn, and tapped his shoulder as gently as he could. It would probably feel less like a tap, more like a hand resting on Shawn's shoulder for one brief second, but at least it wasn't broken, like so many other things Shin had interacted with.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay Shin)
The big red guy followed Streak like a puppy following it's new owner. He supposed the two motorcycles were heavy but there was no real way of finding out. The big guy's powers were evident but it didn't mean that he didn't get tired after a while of carrying them. It was only a matter of minutes before they were near the garage. Although he couldn't help but still remain wary of the red man's agenda. There was an empty spot in the garage, which Streak actually found a little surprising. "You can set them down here." Shawn said indicating the empty space.
Normally the garage was filled with other residents cars, trucks, and motorcycles. "No actually I haven't seen them around in a while. But I don't see them for days sometimes because they're usually really busy with helping at the bookstore." Why was this guy asking about them? Well he did say that he was friends with them. Maybe Shin and Kasumi had helped him out once and getting their bikes back to the mansion is his way of repaying them for their help. Streak looked directly at the big red guy. The big man had pulled out his wallet and was attempting to pay Streak. "Is this for the intercom?" Streak asked. It may have sounded like a dumb question but he wanted to make sure that it wasn't like rent or something to store the bikes. Even though the thought of him paying rent for the mansion keeping the bikes sounded like an even more outlandish idea.

((OOC: Edited my last post to -make sense-. Shin didn't forget he was carrying cycles. He set them down in the garage before making smalltalk.))
"Bookstore, right. I thought Full Circle was closed today..." Shin stated tactfully. He'd been there. He knew they had no reason to try and deal with customers right now. Body-Switching shop clerks didn't really have a mind for business. They were too busy bobbling between 'May I help you' and 'help me, Jesus'. Shin knew he didn't like clerking on bad days. Today was getting to look like a very bad day...
>>"Is this for the intercom?" Streak asked. Shin nodded.
"Yeah. A couple hundreds. I figure that if you take this, we'll be even." Two hundred dollars was enough to pay for a broken intercom, wasn't it? Or were they more... Shin hadn't had much experience playing 'The Price is Right' since his childhood. The family that had sponsored him in the foreign exchange program had been a big fan of the gameshow. Shin, not so much. He preferred running around town, and checking out the boxing rings. Right now, he assumed he'd be a bit too good at boxing. Shin mentally shuddered at the thought.

Streak took the money that was offered to him. The big red guy was certainly being a nice guy about the whole thing. What was his angle? Did everyone have to have an angle? Or was he just a little too paranoid for his own good right now. People can change. There were plenty of people who lived at the mansion that were working on making their lives better than what it was before they lived there. Maybe he just needed a vacation from the security scene to take his mind off the constant worry about the kids and the X-Men’s safety. “If it is closed then they’re probably out doing whatever they want.” Streak said matter-of-factly. He wasn’t responsible for what they did in their free time and it didn’t matter to him as long as they didn’t get into trouble and were able to answer any call that the X-Men might need them for.
Frankly he had enough to do and worry about that he wasn’t too worried that the X-Men would get into something that they wouldn’t be able to get out of, or handle them, should the situation arise. Streak reluctantly took the money that they giant red guy offered him. “Thanks. I’m sure this’ll be enough to fix the intercom.” Said the suspicious silvermancer. No matter how good this guy was acting Streak couldn’t prevent his suspicions from creeping in and making him wonder why he was doing this. Living at the mansion, Streak did know one thing for sure… and that was, he didn’t turn down free money when it came to money for the mansion.

"No problem," Shinbyss replied with a friendly smile that probably looked strange on that big red face of his. No problem at all, really. It just so happened to be in -my pocket- when I woke up this morning. Share the wealth. It wasn't like it was his.
And Shin was more than happy to help the mansion when they needed to fix what he'd broken. No problems there.
Shin glanced around the mansion's garage for a second, unsure what else to say or do. It was true, if Full Circle was closed, then they wouldn't be there... but then again, who would have expected the person in his body to follow his schedule. More likely, he was walking around the mansion, staring at things behind Shin's eyes, all suspicious-like... and nobody would question him. They never questioned Shin when he bobbled about talking mathematics!! Oh, this was awful. Shin frowned at an old car, then turned back to Shawn with a brave smile on his face.
"Yeah... well, then. I think that's everything. If you see them, let them know I'm looking. Thank you. I think I'll be leaving now." He glanced towards the exit, and took a step, fully expecting Shawn to attempt to see him out the gates.

The big red guy seemed like he was studying the mansion's garage. Streak didn't think that it was possible for him to gain any information about the mansion. It was just a big garage filled with cars. There was nothing that would give anything away. Streak agreed. there didn't seem like there was much more for them to discuss. "Ok. I'll let them know." Shawn had to keep himself from saying 'What's the deal here? Why are you all of the sudden a nice person?' The silver eyed mutant noticed that he was a little slow with leaving.
"Here let me escort you out." Maybe he would be able to figure a little bit more out about him as they headed back down to the gates. Streak walked next to the big red guy and started to lead the way back out. It wouldn't really be that hard for him to see the exit and leave the mansion's grounds, but it was also a nice thing to do for someone that was just stopping by. Following the big guy out to the gates also allowed Streak to watch him to make sure that he didn't try anything that was more like his usual self.

Whatever closure or revelation Streak had been hoping for, he didn't get it. Shin silently followed the silvermancer to the main gates, took one final look at the mansion, and left.
"Thanks for the help," he muttered, walking down the sidewalk and away. His mission was done. He hadn't found out anything about the locations of the bodies, or what was going on to cause this mishap, but at least he'd done that.
Shin was thankful Shawn had been so professional about it. On an average day, Shin probably would have turned an Orderling away. He'd done so with the bug-girl, or tried to. He definitely would have turned away the girl who'd attacked Kasumi. Shawn didn't, but he'd kept a good watch.
The cycles were away. Shin walked the rest of the block down towards the subways, and vanished from view.

Nothing happened. Great! That’s exactly what he was hoping would happen while the Order member was there. “You’re welcome.” Streak replied to the giant red mutant. He watched the mutant disappear from view as he left the mansion. Neither of the two mutants exchanged any further words with each other and Streak couldn’t have been happier. Whatever got the Orderling out of the mansion fastest was probably the best route.
Once the big man was gone he let the gates close in as he continued to stare into the emptiness that the Order member had walked into. He couldn’t help but continue to contemplate the other possible reasons that were unspoken as to why he was there. Remembering the bikes that had been dropped off, Streak walked back into the garage. There was no one there at the time so he took out some tools and began to inspect the bikes for anything out of the ordinary and for anything that could possibly harm his friends and team mates.
